20 世纪 90 年代初,以完成人类基因组全序列测定和注释为核心任务的人类基因组计划在美国的领导下兴起.自1999年中国加入人类基因组计划到现在的10年时间里,中国基因组学得到了快速的发展,建立了先进的基因组学技术平台,并出色完成了多项重大基因组科学研究项目,对我国生命科学各个领域的发展产生了重要影响.结合我国基因组学研究现状,《中国科学C辑·生命科学》(Sci China Ser C-Life Sci) 2009年第1期发表了中国基因组学专题,综述了基因组测序、分型,功能基因检测技术和生物信息学分析技术,以及肝癌、免疫和环境与工业微生物的基因组学研究等方面的研究工作. 相似文献

The aim of this study was to characterize and compare the bacterial community structure of two distinct oil samples from a
petroleum field in Brazil by using both molecular, based on the construction of 16S rRNA gene libraries, and cultivation methods.
Statistical comparisons of libraries based on Amplified Ribosomal DNA Restriction Analysis (ARDRA) data revealed no significant
differences between the communities recovered in the non-biodegraded (NBD) and highly biodegraded oils (HBD). BlastN analysis
of the 16S rRNA gene sequences representative of distinct ribotypes from both oils showed the presence of nine different bacterial
genera in these samples, encompassing members of the genera Arcobacter, Halanaerobium, Marinobacter, Propionibacterium, Streptomyces, Leuconostoc, Acinetobacter, Bacillus and Streptococcus. Enrichments obtained using oil as inoculum and sole carbon source yielded bacterial isolates showing high 16S rRNA gene
sequence similarity with Achromobacter xylosoxidans, Bacillus subtilis, Brevibacillus sp., Dietzia sp. and Methylobacterium sp. Comparison between the data obtained using cultivation-independent and enrichment cultures suggests that different selection
of community members may occur when using distinct approaches. All the organisms found, except for Leuconostoc sp. and Streptococus sp., have been previously reported in the literature as hydrocarbon degraders and/or associated to oil field environments. 相似文献

CellDepot containing over 270 datasets from 8 species and many tissues serves as an integrated web application to empower scientists in exploring single-cell RNA-seq (scRNA-seq) datasets and comparing the datasets among various studies through a user-friendly interface with advanced visualization and analytical capabilities. To begin with, it provides an efficient data management system that users can upload single cell datasets and query the database by multiple attributes such as species and cell types. In addition, the graphical multi-logic, multi-condition query builder and convenient filtering tool backed by MySQL database system, allows users to quickly find the datasets of interest and compare the expression of gene(s) across these. Moreover, by embedding the cellxgene VIP tool, CellDepot enables fast exploration of individual dataset in the manner of interactivity and scalability to gain more refined insights such as cell composition, gene expression profiles, and differentially expressed genes among cell types by leveraging more than 20 frequently applied plotting functions and high-level analysis methods in single cell research. In summary, the web portal available at http://celldepot.bxgenomics.com, prompts large scale single cell data sharing, facilitates meta-analysis and visualization, and encourages scientists to contribute to the single-cell community in a tractable and collaborative way. The S100 family of EF-hand calcium (Ca2+)-binding proteins is essential for a wide range of cellular functions. During infection, certain S100 proteins act as damage-associated molecular patterns (DAMPs) and interact with pattern recognition receptors to modulate inflammatory responses. In addition, these inflammatory S100 proteins have potent antimicrobial properties and are essential components of the immune response to invading pathogens. In this review, we focus on S100 proteins that exhibit antimicrobial properties through the process of metal limitation, termed nutritional immunity, and discuss several recent advances in our understanding of S100 protein-mediated metal sequestration at the site of infection. 相似文献
