目的对野生成年树鼩的体重和主要脏器重量进行测定,计算其脏器系数。方法测定60只野生成年树鼩体重及11个主要脏器重量,并计算其脏器系数。进行脏器重量、脏器系数的性别间比较分析及Kendall和谐系数分析。结果性别间比较心、肺重量差异极显著(P〈0.01),脑、肾上腺、胰腺重量之间差异显著(P〈0.05);肾上腺、胰腺系数差异有极显著性(P〈0.01),心、肺、肾系数之间差异均达到了显著水平(P〈0.05)。Kendall和谐系数(W)分析表明,动物与其个体各主要器官整体发育协调性较好。结论野生成年树鼩心重量、肺重量、脑重量、肾上腺重量、胰腺重量、肾上腺系数、胰腺系数、心系数、肺系数、肾系数性别间存在差异。 相似文献

The soil/air partition coefficients (K SA ) for hexachlorobenzene (HCB) in oil-contaminated (crude oil and diesel) rice paddy field soils were measured in a solid fugacity meter at different oil concentrations over the temperature range of 5 to 30°C at 100% relative humidity. The results showed that values of K SA increased with a decrease of temperature. As for oil content, there is a critical separate phase concentration (CSPC) above which K SA increased with increasing of oil content. When oil content is above CSPC, oil plays a role as a separate phase that enhances the sorption capacity of the soil. At a given temperature (20°C) values of CSPC depended on the natural organic matter (NOM) contents of the soil, while for a given oil concentration they depended on the temperature. The normalized oil/air partition coefficients ) for HCB deduced from K SA for oils and experimentally determined with crude oil/quartz sand system were similar and 0.7–7 times higher than the normalized organic/air partition coefficient ), which implied that oil was a super sorbent. The diagnosis of mitochondrial disorders is difficult due to clinical and genetic heterogeneity. Measurements of mitochondrial respiratory chain (RC) enzyme activities are essential for both clinical diagnoses and many basic research questions. Current protocols for RC analysis are not standardized, and so are prone to inter-laboratory variability, and also to biochemical interferences that lead to analytical discrepancies. Moreover, knowledge of the analytical performances of these assays, which is essential to draw meaningful conclusions from the results, is lacking. To understand this variability and to propose possible solutions, we systematically investigated the effect of different homogenization protocols and chemical conditions on RC assays using muscle homogenates. We developed optimized protocols and a novel complex III method with improved sensitivity, precision, and linearity. These methods can be reliably performed on minute muscle samples with a single-wavelength spectrophotometer. Moreover, we measured the variability of the proposed homogenization protocol and we provide a systematic evaluation of each assay's specificity, precision, and linearity. The exploding number of computational models produced by Systems Biologists over the last years is an invitation to structure and exploit this new wealth of information. Researchers would like to trace models relevant to specific scientific questions, to explore their biological content, to align and combine them, and to match them with experimental data. To automate these processes, it is essential to consider semantic annotations, which describe their biological meaning. As a prerequisite for a wide range of computational methods, we propose general and flexible similarity measures for Systems Biology models computed from semantic annotations. By using these measures and a large extensible ontology, we implement a platform that can retrieve, cluster, and align Systems Biology models and experimental data sets. At present, its major application is the search for relevant models in the BioModels Database, starting from initial models, data sets, or lists of biological concepts. Beyond similarity searches, the representation of models by semantic feature vectors may pave the way for visualisation, exploration, and statistical analysis of large collections of models and corresponding data. 相似文献

Amyloid β (Aβ) peptides are a primary component of fibrils and oligomers implicated in the etiology of Alzheimer's disease (AD). However, the intrinsic flexibility of these peptides has frustrated efforts to investigate the secondary and tertiary structure of Aβ monomers, whose conformational landscapes directly contribute to the kinetics and thermodynamics of Aβ aggregation. In this work, de novo replica exchange molecular dynamics (REMD) simulations on the microseconds-per-replica timescale are used to characterize the structural ensembles of Aβ42, Aβ40, and M35-oxidized Aβ42, three physiologically relevant isoforms with substantially different aggregation properties. J-coupling data calculated from the REMD trajectories were compared to corresponding NMR-derived values acquired through two different pulse sequences, revealing that all simulations converge on the order of hundreds of nanoseconds-per-replica toward ensembles that yield good agreement with experiment. Though all three Aβ species adopt highly heterogeneous ensembles, these are considerably more structured compared to simulations on shorter timescales. Prominent in the C-terminus are antiparallel β-hairpins between L17–A21, A30–L36, and V39–I41, similar to oligomer and fibril intrapeptide models that expose these hydrophobic side chains to solvent and may serve as hotspots for self-association. Compared to reduced Aβ42, the absence of a second β-hairpin in Aβ40 and the sampling of alternate β topologies by M35-oxidized Aβ42 may explain the reduced aggregation rates of these forms. A persistent V24–K28 bend motif, observed in all three species, is stabilized by buried backbone to side-chain hydrogen bonds with D23 and a cross-region salt bridge between E22 and K28, highlighting the role of the familial AD-linked E22 and D23 residues in Aβ monomer folding. These characterizations help illustrate the conformational landscapes of Aβ monomers at atomic resolution and provide insight into the early stages of Aβ aggregation pathways. 相似文献

Background and Aims
Convergent evolution is invoked to explain similarity between unrelated organisms in similar environments, but most evaluations of convergence analyse similarity of organismal attributes rather than of the environment. This study focuses on the globular succulent plants of the Americas, the cacti, and their counterparts in Africa in the ice-plant, spurge and milkweed families. Though often held up as paragons of convergent morphological evolution, the environmental similarity of these plants has remained largely unexamined from a quantitative perspective.Methods
Five hotspots (centres of high species diversity of globular succulents) were selected, two in Mexico and three in South Africa. Their environments were compared using niche modelling tools, randomization tests of niche similarity and multivariate analyses to test for environmental similarity.Key Results
Although the sites selected have ‘similar’ but unrelated life forms, almost all our results highlighted more climate differences than similarities between the hotspots. Interprediction of niches within and between continents, a niche equivalence test, and MANOVA results showed significant differences. In contrast, a niche similarity test showed that the comparisons of Cuatrociénegas–Richtersveld, Huizache–Knersvlakte and Huizache–Richtersveld were similar.Conclusions
Differences in rainfall and temperature regimes and the potential effect of edaphic factors may be involved in the differences between the hotspots. In addition, differences in structure, morphology and physiology of the globular succulents may coincide with some of the climatic dissimilarities; i.e. given convergence as the evolution of similar morphologies under similar conditions, then it may be that differing environments diagnose inconspicuous morphological differences. Moreover, although fine-scale differences between sites were found, a coarser perspective shows that these sites are clearly similar as drylands with relatively moderate drought and mild temperatures, illustrating how all studies of convergence must address the issue of how similar two entities must be before they are considered convergent. 相似文献999.

In order to investigate heritability and gene action for yellow rust resistance in wheat, a resistance yellow rust cultivar Aflak was crossed to susceptible cultivar Avocet‘s’. Parents, F1, F2 and F3 generations were cultured according to randomised complete block design with two replications in the research station of Gharakhil, Iran. Parents and other generations were inoculated with 70E0A+ race. Traits including severity and infection type were recorded and then coefficient of infection was calculated. For this trait, generations mean and variance analysis were performed and results showed that there were significant differences among generations for coefficient of infection. Results showed that in addition to additive and dominance effects, at least one kind of epistasis interaction (additive × additive) control this trait. Although additive and dominance effects control this trait, but with attention to generations variance analysis, the results showed that additive variance had important role to control this trait. 相似文献
