长江流域作为中国重要的生态屏障,科学认识长江流域植被覆盖时空变化及其驱动因素,对有效开展长江流域生态工程建设具有重要的指导意义与应用价值。基于2000—2019年间MODIS-NDVI与相关气象等数据,采用Theil-Sen median趋势分析、Mann-Kendall检验、变异系数、偏相关分析、残差分析等方法,研究了近20年来长江流域植被覆盖的时空分布与变化特征,并探究了研究区植被覆盖的驱动因素。结果表明:(1)时间变化上,长江流域生长季NDVI呈现波动增长趋势,显著改善面积大于退化面积;(2)空间分布上,流域植被覆盖空间分布格局大致呈现为“中部高,东西低”,生长季NDVI多年均值为0.6164,呈较高植被覆盖状态;(3)变化趋势上,植被增长区域大于减少区域,具体表现为“中部强于东部、东部强于西部”;(4)变化稳定性上,流域植被变异系数介于0.0104—1.3199之间,呈现出“中间低,东西高,东西部局部区域高低波动并存,地域性差异明显”的空间变化稳定性特征;(5)影响因素上,流域植被覆盖变化受气温和降水的共同影响,大部分区域生长季NDVI变化以气候驱动为主,局部区域表现自然因素叠...  相似文献

草原灌丛化通过改变物种之间的相互作用深刻影响着群落的结构和功能。然而,当前有关灌木如何影响不同功能群草本植物对矿质元素吸收和累积的研究仍明显不足。在内蒙古草原沿干旱梯度选取了4个研究地点,对比分析了小叶锦鸡儿(Caragana microphylla)灌丛斑块内和斑块外群落中禾草和非禾草功能群植物叶中矿质元素浓度以及地上生物量生产的差异,旨在阐明干旱和灌木对群落草本植物叶元素累积的影响,揭示灌草间相互作用的元素利用特征及其随干旱梯度的变化。结果显示:1)随干旱加剧,灌丛斑块内的非禾草功能群植物地上生物量保持恒定,但叶中的K、Ca、Mg、Fe、Mn和Cu元素浓度显著增加(P<0.05)。该结果表明群落中的非禾草功能群植物通过提高叶中的矿质元素水平来抵御和适应干旱胁迫。2)随干旱加剧,灌丛对非禾草功能群植物地上生物量,叶中Ca、Fe、Cu和Zn,禾草功能群植物叶中的P的累积影响从负(RII<0)或中性(RII=0)转变为正效应(RII>0)。该结果与胁迫梯度假说相符,表明灌木对草本植物的促进效应随干旱胁迫加剧而增加。3)灌丛的“沃岛”效应是驱动灌木对草本植物元素累积正效应...  相似文献

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to analyze a comprehensive nationally representative data set to determine the effect of economic and non economic determinants on the decision to seek care and the decision to select a specific number of dental visits. Design: The conduct of this study involved the examination and analyses of secondary data available from the National Health Interview Survey. A two-pan choice logistic regression model was utilized to first describe the decision to seek care and second to describe factors associated with the decision to select a specific number of dental visits as a function of income, education, family size, age, marital status, presence of teeth, employment status, health status, gender, race, insurance status, and reason for dental visit. Subjects: Data analysis focused on 5.327 non-institutional older adults between the ages of 55 and 75 who were not eligible for Medicaid. Results: Results provide supporting evidence that income, presence of dental insurance, presence of teeth, gender, family size, education race and age are associated with the decision to seek dental care and that income, presence of dental insurance, gender, family size, education, and race are associated with the number of dental visits among users even when the effects of other variables are controlled for. Discussion : Analyses suggest that employment may have a surprisingly limited effect on dental utilisation and that among explanatory variables there are differences in significance and magnitude between the decision to seek care and the decision to select a specific number of dental visits. In addition, in contrast with some prior studies, health status does not appear to be associated with the decision to seek care or associated with the number of dental visits among respondents.  相似文献

1. Changes in vegetation community composition, such as a transition from grassland to shrubland (woody encroachment), are associated with reductions in plant cover and increases in bare ground. Encroachment‐driven changes in surface cover at small spatial scales can alter ant community assemblages by changing their foraging behaviour and their ability to locate and monopolise resources. 2. Artificial arenas with three levels of complexity were used to examine changes in ant foraging efficiency, body size and ability to monopolise food. The three levels of complexity included a control (no substrate), low‐complexity treatment (woody debris) and high‐complexity treatment (leaf litter). 3. No difference was found in ant species composition within the complexity arenas between grassland and shrubland, but ant functional groups ‘generalised Myrmicinae’ and ‘subordinate Camponotini’ were more abundant in grassland arenas, whereas ‘opportunists’ were more abundant in shrubland arenas. Ants took twice as long to find baits in high‐complexity treatments, and 1.5 times as long in low‐complexity treatments, than in control treatments, which were bare arenas with no substrate. Ant body size declined with increasing surface complexity, suggesting that larger ants are discouraged from foraging in complex habitats. 4. There was also significantly greater monopolisation of the protein bait (tuna) in low‐ and high‐complexity treatments, but there were no differences between tuna and carbohydrate (honey) in the control treatment. Consistently, no differences were found in ant behaviour between grasslands and shrublands. 5. The present study shows that ants are more responsive to small‐scale alterations in soil surface complexity than to changes in vegetation community composition. Changes in soil surface complexity select for ants based on body size, which in turn influences their foraging success. Changes in vegetation complexity at small spatial scales are therefore likely to influence ant behaviour and abundance of some functional groups, potentially having an effect on the many ecosystem functions carried out by ants.  相似文献

Microclimatic conditions affect seeds' survival, dormancy, and germination, which are determinants in vegetation succession and recovery. The semiarid coastal scrublands of Yucatan, Mexico are very important because of the environmental services they provide thus, studies are needed in disturbed sites in relation to seed viability and microclimate. In this study, we characterized the microclimate and seed bank under Pithecellobium keyense shrubs, during the rainy and dry seasons. We collected soil samples and measured microenvironmental variables under adult P. keyense at three different positions under the canopy of every studied individual (“open” or completely sunny, “half-shaded,” placed at the border of the canopy, and “fully shaded” placed under the canopy, next to the stem of the shrub). Photosynthetic photon flux density (PPFD), minimum night-time temperature, and maximum daytime temperature behaved differently among positions under the canopy both in rainy and dry seasons. During the rainy season, seed viability was no different among microenvironments, while in the dry, the highest was found in the fully shaded and the lowest in the open position. Microclimatic variables under the canopy of P. keyense had an effect on the probability of seed viability in Chuburná; and this effect was stronger in the dry season. The African baobab (Adansonia digitata L.) and castor bean (Ricinus communis L.) are drought resistant green-stemmed succulent plants which grow in the arid and semi-arid regions of Africa. Photosynthesis in the stems of green-stemmed plants is known to contribute to plant carbon gain especially during leafless periods. To study the contribution of stem photosynthesis in stem succulent plants, the height and stem diameter of baobab and castor bean plants grown in the greenhouse were measured. The plants were completely defoliated and subjected to different treatments: Watered with open stems (WO), watered and stems covered with aluminium foil (WC) to achieve 100% light exclusion, drought and open (DO) and drought and covered (DC). Stem coverage with aluminium foil resulted in a higher stem height and diameter during drought for baobab with similar trends seen in castor bean. Light exclusion resulted in a significantly lower bud DW production and enrichment in 13C in bud dry matter of castor bean and in stem dry matter of baobab. These show that corticular photosynthesis contributes in carbon gain in these species.  相似文献
