Organogenesis in pepper tissue cultures   总被引:6,自引:0,他引:6  
Knowledge concerning in vitro growth and developmental responses of bell and chile peppers (Capsicum annuum L.) has been limited. Shoot and root organogenesis in cultures of seedling explants was restricted to primary cultures or those less than three months old under 12-and 16-h photoperiod at 25°C. Shoot organogenesis was extended to 5 months under continuous light at 25°C, and to 8 months under continuous light at 28.5°C. Murashige and Skoog basal media containing 0.05mg/l each of IAA and BA promoted shoot elongation and rooting of some explant sources, while 0.05-4 mg/l IAA with 10–50 mg/l BA promoted adventitious shoot bud formation. Glucose was superior to sucrose as the carbon source. Leaf discs collected from greenhouse-grown plants regenerated shoots for at least 2 months. Incubation environment, carbon source, explant source, growth regulator treatment and passage number were not independent variables as demonstrated by statistical analysis. The plant regeneration techniques described here have useful but limited applications, not extending to unorganized callus or cell suspension cultures.Journal article no. 1151 of the New Mexico Agricultural Experiment Station.  相似文献

在实验室条件下观察白纹伊蚊种群发育、存活和繁殖的动态,得出年龄特征存活率、繁殖率等数据,编制成生命表,计算出有关种群各项参数,包括内禀增长能力(rm=0.1333),净增殖率(R0=45.3017),增殖有限速率(λ=1.1426),平均世代周期长(T=33.3299天),瞬时出生率和死亡率(b=0.5562,d=0.4229),稳定年龄组配,成虫前期占90.66%,成虫期占9.34%。该蚊种群大约每隔5.2天增加一倍。根据结果对该蚊种群传播登革热的关系和防制加以讨论。  相似文献

The paper deals with some views on the phytocoenose in relation to the functioning of vegetation and its plant-species populations in space and time. From these viewpoints the study of vegetation is seen as a field of tension between the organismic and reductionistic approaches. Both have their value, provided any dogmatism is avoided and either can be applied to the other.In the field of vegetation structure characteristic features of life-form spectra and species distribution, inversion phenomena in zonation, and community architecture in relation to production and decomposition are discussed. In this connection some remarks are made on habitat and niche differentiation with respect to the phytocoenose concept.Vegetation dynamics are discussed in relation to the introduction of Spartina anglica, the frequency of flooding by the tides, different environmental disturbances caused by heavy winter frost, rainfall and hot and dry periods, as well as to human interferences for agricultural and civil-technical purposes.It is suggested that salt-marsh plants may have found refuge areas in inland habitats as well as on more southerly coastal sites during glaciations.Nomenclature follows Tutin et al. Subalpine forest succession was studied on Mt. Fuji, Japan, where various types of forests in different successional phases occur owing to volcanic action. Ninety stands were subjected to ordination using an index (SI) defined by the relative basal area and the life span of component woody species, and the cover of canopy layer of the sample stands. Two different sequences of sample stands were found. One was from deciduous scrubs, through Larix kaempferi forests and Abies forests, to Tsuga diversifolia forests, and the other from Abies-Tsuga thickets to Abies forests. Through analyses of the forest structure and composition, soil survey and identification of fallen logs, the former sequence was recognized as the primary sere and the latter as a regeneration sere following gap formation. During forest succession, basal area reached a maximum in the seral phase with a multi-layered structure. The Tsuga forests, whose understory is restricted to a moss layer, were regarded as the climax. The death or fall of Tsuga stems resulted in gaps, which were subsequently occupied by Abies-Tsuga thickets. The second Abies forests were distinguished from the ones in the primary sere by the occurrence of Dryopteris and Cacalia and the lack of Rhododendron in the understorey. Both Abies forest types included Tsuga saplings. Thus, a cyclic relation is supposed between Abies and Tsuga.Nomenclature follows Ohwi (1975) and Nakaike (1982) for vascular plants, Iwatsuki & Noguchi (1973) for mosses, Inoue (1981) for hepaticae, Kashiwadani (1981) for lichens, respectively. Summary The seasonal occurrence ofAtyaephyra desmaresti in The Netherlands has been studied by sampling the cooling-water filtering screens of power stations situated along the rivers Rhine and Meuse. The shrimps were only found in large numbers at the two power stations with vegetation in the cooling-water intake areas. Fluctuations in the seasonal occurrence showed great similarity for these two localities. Highest numbers of shrimps were impinged in November. High numbers also occurred in September, while a lower peak in numbers was found in May.Changes in the numbers of records during the last 30 years in The Netherlands were compared with climatological fluctuations (severe or mild winters), indicating that this mainly southern-European species is living here at the limits of its ecological and geographical range.The distribution in The Netherlands reveals thatAtyaephyra desmaresti mainly occurs in freshwater habitats, although it tolerates higher chlorinities.  相似文献

应用酶法从烟草花粉管分离出大量亚原生质体。具核的和无核的亚原生质体之比约为1:1。这种亚原生质体在D_2培养基中培养后,不论有核的或是无核的都能生长管状结构和再生厚的壁。管状结构的生长有节律性,常呈结节状。随着管状结构的生长,细胞内含物逐渐流入生长中的管状结构内,有时会从薄的管状结构的顶端排出到培养液中。已生长管状结构的亚原生质体,具核的和无核的比例约为1:1.7,表明管状结构的生长和壁的再生与是否有核的存在无关。对酶液处理后花粉管亚原生质体从花粉管的释放和从单独的花粉管亚原生质体生长管状结构的过程,进行了活体连续观察和照相记录。实验结果说明,结节状的管状结构确实是从单独的一个亚原生质体形成的。管状结构的生长和壁的再生似乎与细胞质进入新生的管状结构有关。讨论了花粉管亚原生质体在植物遗传操作中应用的可能性。  相似文献

Summary Studies on intercalary regeneration in several organisms have shown that a regenerate is formed when surfaces of different positional value along the proximo-distal axis are opposed. One of the main problems posed by this phenomenon is to know which piece contributes to the building of the regenerate. In the present work we have studied this problem in planarians using chimaeras made between pieces of different body levels, irradiated or not, of the sexual and asexual races ofDugesia(S)mediterranea that differ in a chromosomal marker.The results found show very clearly that intercalary regenerates in planarians are formed by cells coming from both pieces (stumps), and that irradiated pieces keep the positional values and interact with non-irradiated pieces to restore the missing parts. This means that distal and proximal transformation do actually occur at the same time during intercalary regeneration in planarians. The implications of these results as regards to the origin of cells in the regenerate and to present models of intercalary regeneration are discussed.  相似文献
