Modified synthesis and luminescence of Y2BaZnO5 phosphors activated with the rare earths (RE) Eu3+, Tb3+, Pr3+ and Sm3+ are reported. RE2BaZnO5 phosphors have attracted attention because of their interesting magnetic and optical properties; and are usually prepared using a two‐step solid‐state reaction. In the first step, carbonates or similar precursors are thoroughly mixed and heated at 900°C to decompose them to oxides. To eliminate the unwanted phases like BaRE2O4, the resulting powders are reheated at 1100°C for a long time. We prepared Y2BaZnO5 phosphors activated with various activators by replacing the first step with combustion synthesis. The photoluminescence results are presented. The photoluminescence results for Eu3+, Tb3+ and Pr3+ are in good agreement with the literature. However, photoluminescence emission from Sm3+ has not been documented previously. The excitation spectrum of Eu3+ is dominated by a charge transfer band around 261 nm, and an additional band around 238 nm is always present, irrespective of the type of activator. The presence of this band for all these different types of activators was interpreted as host absorption.  相似文献

Mollicutes are parasitic microorganisms mainly characterized by small cell sizes, reduced genomes and great A and T mutational bias. We analyzed the codon usage patterns of the completely sequenced genomes of bacteria that belong to this class. We found that for many organisms not only mutational bias but also selection has a major effect on codon usage. Through a comparative perspective and based on three widely used criteria we were able to classify Mollicutes according to the effect of selection on codon usage. We found conserved optimal codons in many species and study the tRNA gene pool in each genome. Previous results are reinforced by the fact that, when selection is operative, the putative optimal codons found match the respective cognate tRNA. Finally, we trace selection effect backwards to the common ancestor of the class and estimate the phylogenetic inertia associated with this character. We discuss the possible scenarios that explain the observed evolutionary patterns.  相似文献

珍稀濒危保护植物是人类重要的植物资源之一,江苏地处暖温带和亚热带的过渡地带,自然条件优越,植物种类多样,蕴含着丰富的珍稀濒危保护植物。文章调查整理出78种江苏省珍稀濒危保护植物,隶属40科65属,其中本省自然分布的有21种,从其他省份引种栽培的有57种。为了能促进江苏省珍稀濒危保护植物在园林绿化中的应用,分别从江苏省珍稀濒危保护植物的概况、观赏价值、园林应用现状以及在园林中的应用前景等方面进行论述,以期为绿化工作者提供参考。  相似文献

2008—2010年,对南岳衡山野生植物资源进行了实地调查,调查结果表明:南岳衡山有国家重点保护野生植物17种,其中一级保护3种,二级保护14种。国家珍稀濒危植物14种。列入2007年《中国物种红色名录》中受胁威的珍稀濒危植物87种,其中极危1种,濒危13种,易危36种,近危26种,无危11种。兰科植物23属46种,且具有附生、地生和腐生各种生态类型。另外对银杏、伯乐树居群进行了分析,得出南岳衡山是银杏野生居群保存和现代分布地区之一,保存在该区的银杏,伯乐树的天然林应为原始林的残遗成分,具有古老和残遗特性。  相似文献

Using a common temperate herbaceous terrestrial orchid from Australia (Caladenia latifolia) this study investigated 19 asymbiotic media variations comprising four commonly used basal media [half‐strength Murashige and Skoog (½MS), Knudson C (KC), Pa5, and Vacin and Went (VW), with combinations of the plant growth regulators 6‐benzylaminopurine (BA) and α‐naphthalene acetic acid (NAA) or coconut water (CW) and compared their performance with germination on a standard symbiotic germination medium, oatmeal agar (OMA). Percentage germination of seeds every 2 weeks for a total of 8 weeks (five replicates per treatment), time to germination, and growth and development phases in seedlings were recorded. ½MS with 5% (v/v) fresh CW delivered 93% germination, with seedling vigour and development indistinguishable from OMA (95% germination). The same protocol was applied to a further ten species (including the endangered Caladenia huegelii), demonstrating high asymbiotic germination performance (60–93%) across a wide phylogenetic range of terrestrial orchid species. © 2014 The Linnean Society of London, Botanical Journal of the Linnean Society, 2014, 176 , 556–566.  相似文献

Growth dynamics are fundamental characteristics of microorganisms. Quantifying growth precisely is an important goal in microbiology. Growth dynamics are affected both by the doubling time of the microorganism and by any delay in growth upon transfer from one condition to another, the lag. The ScanLag method enables the characterization of these two independent properties at the level of colonies originating each from a single cell, generating a two-dimensional distribution of the lag time and of the growth time. In ScanLag, measurement of the time it takes for colonies on conventional nutrient agar plates to be detected is automated on an array of commercial scanners controlled by an in house application. Petri dishes are placed on the scanners, and the application acquires images periodically. Automated analysis of colony growth is then done by an application that returns the appearance time and growth rate of each colony. Other parameters, such as the shape, texture and color of the colony, can be extracted for multidimensional mapping of sub-populations of cells. Finally, the method enables the retrieval of rare variants with specific growth phenotypes for further characterization. The technique could be applied in bacteriology for the identification of long lag that can cause persistence to antibiotics, as well as a general low cost technique for phenotypic screens.  相似文献

Background: Hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia (HHT) is a dominantly inherited genetic vascular disorder in which epistaxis is the most frequent manifestation, responsible for high morbidity. Management of this symptom has no standard, and local treatments are often aggressive. Their efficacy is variable and has not been proven. Anti-angiogenic drugs, such as bevacizumab, are a new treatment strategy. Its systemic administration in patients with HHT improves liver damage-related symptoms and epistaxis. To limit the systemic adverse effects of bevacizumab and to ease administration, a local administration seems suitable. Primary objective: To evaluate the tolerance of increasing doses of bevacizumab administered as a nasal spray in patients with HHT-related epistaxis. Secondary objectives were to study the bioavailability and efficacy of bevacizumab against epistaxis when given as a nasal spray. Methodology: Phase 1, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, monocentric study performed sequentially (dose escalation) on 5 groups of 8 patients. Each group was made up of 6 verum and 2 placebos. Five increasing doses of bevacizumab nasal spray (25 mg/mL) were evaluated: 12.5, 25, 50, 75 and 100 mg. Results: A total of 40 patients were included between October 2011 and October 2012. Bevacizumab nasal spray was well tolerated in all patients and the drug was not detected in their serum. No dose limiting toxicity was observed. No efficacy was observed at any dose in this study. Conclusion: Based on these results, bevacizumab nasal spray is a safe treatment of epistaxis in HHT. 通过分析Pichia pastoris的28个蛋白编码基因的同义密码子使用情况并计算该酵母的密码子用法,首次确定出P.pastoris的19个高表达优越密码子。这些结果经与已知的Saccharomyces cerevisiaeKluyveromyces lactis的密码子用法基本相似,但在氨基酸谷氨酸的密码子选择上截然相反,提示这可能属于P.pastoris所偏爱的密码子用法。  相似文献

Arginase-deficient (car1/car1) sake yeasts can brew sake without urea, a main precursor of ethyl carbamate, which is a suspected carcinogen in various fermented beverages. For the use of car1/car1 yeasts in sake production, contamination by wild-type (CAR1/CAR1) yeasts is a major problem. To protect sake mash against such contamination, killer character was introduced into the car1/car1 sake yeast HL163 by rare mating and protoplast fusion, using a kar1–1 haploid harboring killer dsRNA plasmids as a killer donor. All killer yeasts obtained showed no arginase activity and the same DNA content per cell as strain HL163, and produced sake with ordinary quality and very low levels of urea. We also demonstrated that one of these killer yeasts could effectively eliminate contaminant cells of a CAR1/CAR1 yeast from sake mash.
