大猿叶虫夏滞育的诱导:基于定量的光周期反应   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
为了探明大猿叶虫Colaphellus bowringi Baly夏滞育诱导的光周期时间测量特性, 我们通过室内实验系统比较了该虫在25℃、 不同长光照条件下,夏滞育的发生以及诱导50%个体进入夏滞育所需求的光 暗循环数。结果表明:不同长光照诱导的夏滞育比率有显著差异, 其中15 h或16 h光照诱导的滞育比率最高, 短于或长于这两个光照其滞育率均明显下降。在不同光 暗循环实验中, 14 h诱导的滞育比率均低于50%, 诱导50%个体进入夏滞育所需求的光 暗循环数在L15∶D9, L16∶D8, L17∶ D7和L18∶D6分别为2.61, 3.72, 4.64和5.92 d, 处理间存在显著差异。这些结果提示该虫夏滞育的诱导是基于定量的光周期反应。  相似文献

The immunohistochemical localization of IAA and the comparison of their relative levels were carried out for the first time in the anthers of Nongken 58S and its wild type Nongken 58 (Oryza sativa subsp. japonica) after long-day and short-day treatments. The distribution of free-IAA in anthers and its dynamic variation could be reflected by this method. The results showed that the IAA level in the anthers of Nongken 58S after long-day treatment was much lower than that in short-day-treated Nongken 58S and those in wild type Nongken 58 in five stages from pistil and stamen primordia formation to late uninucleate stage. The possible reasons for IAA deficiency in Nongken 58S-LD anthers and its relationship with fertility alteration were also discussed.  相似文献

Experiments were performed on two clones of the black bean aphid, Aphis fabae Scopoli one from Aberdeen, Scotland (57°N), the other from Cambridge, England (52°N) ? to determine the number of long- or short-night cycles required for 50% induction of winged versus wingless females on the one hand and males versus females on the other (i.e. required day number, RDN), at three temperatures, 12.5, 15 and 17.5°C. In the case of female morph determination, the RDN for long-night cycles was temperature compensated, whereas that for short-night cycles was highly temperature dependent. For sex determination, the RDN for long-night cycles was again temperature compensated, whereas, due to the mechanism of sex determination, male production was close to 100% in our protocol, even with a maximal number of short-night cycles, and the RDN could therefore not be assessed. Model-generated response curves, using the recently developed ‘double circadian oscillator model’ for photoperiodic time measurement in insects and mites, closely resembled the observations. It could also be shown that differences observed between response curves of female morph and sex determination in the Scottish clone were due, according to the model, to differences in their photoperiodic ‘counters’, rather than to differences in their clocks.  相似文献

The pine weevil [Hylobius abietis (L.); Coleoptera: Curculionidae] has a high economic impact on forest regeneration in Europe. The general biology of the pine weevil has received considerable attention, although there is insufficient knowledge about its diel behaviour and time budget. Therefore, in the present study, the feeding and locomotion behaviour of individual adult weevils on Norway spruce seedlings [Picea abies (L.) Karst.] is observed for 24‐h periods in the laboratory. Both girdled and nongirdled seedlings are used to assess how the behaviour of weevils is influenced by the physiological response of plants to the girdling. The locomotion pattern shows a distinct maximum during the beginning of the dark phase, whereas most feeding occurs during the second half of the dark phase and the first hours of the subsequent light phase. The girdling treatment increases the time that weevils spend on the seedlings during the first part of an observation session, although it has no effect on their feeding pattern. The time budgets of weevils on girdled and nongirdled seedlings are similar. On average, weevils spend 34% of their time in locomotion and 6% on feeding. Females spend more time feeding than males (7.1% versus 4.2%), possibly because they have higher food requirements (e.g. for egg production). Females also spend more time in total on the seedlings than males (26.3% versus 7.0%). The present study reveals, in high temporal resolution, the diel feeding and locomotion behaviour and time budget of male and female pine weevils.  相似文献

The ability of globe artichoke to produce inflorescences (capitula) during the autumn when the market price is highest is lost when plants are propagated from seed, as are most F1 hybrid cultivars. To gain an understanding of the phenology of seed‐propagated globe artichoke, both vernalised and non‐vernalised seedlings grown from open pollinated progeny of ‘Spinoso sardo’ plants were transplanted into the field at two monthly intervals covering a whole year. Final leaf number and the date of unfolding of each leaf were used to calculate the phyllochrons. The average final leaf number increased from 24 to 88 in response to increasing daylength above an approximately 11 h threshold during the first 30 days after emergence, and this variate explained about 90% of the variation in the thermal time taken to reach the bolting stage. The average phyllochron ranged from 56 to 96°Cd among the six emergence dates and was the major underlying physiological cause of the loss of early flowering shown by seed‐propagated plants. Genotypic variation for phyllochron within an emergence date was strongly associated with variation for the length of the emergence to bolting stage period. The limited effect of vernalisation on development indicated that the late flowering tendency of seed‐propagated plants cannot be attributed to an unfulfilled cold requirement.  相似文献

Birth seasonality in wild neotropical primates has been suggested to increase with latitude as a response to a stronger divergence in high-quality food availability across the year, and a higher between-year predictability at higher latitudes related to temporal differences in photoperiod. In captivity, however, monkeys are fed foods of similar quality throughout the year, and this consistency of diet should have a releasing effect on the need for birth seasonality. In this paper, we test whether 1) brown capuchin monkeys (Cebus apella) breed seasonally in captivity, and 2) given the consistency of diet in this setting, differences in latitude are reflected in the temporal pattern of birth distribution across the year. Data on the distribution of birth records of C. apella at Brazilian zoos located within three latitudinal zones (Equator perpendicular 8 degrees S, 16 degrees perpendicular 24 degrees S, and 24 degrees perpendicular 32 degrees S) are compared. Captive C. apella showed a birth peak from October to February, despite the consistent provision of food in this setting. In addition, there were no differences in the pattern of birth distribution among the latitudinal zones, which lends no support to the prediction that captive C. apella birth seasonality would increase with latitude. We suggest that if this species is not sensitive to subtle differences in photoperiod, other environmental cues may trigger the onset of reproduction at lower latitudes.  相似文献

Purification of high-quality RNA from different strawberry tissues is often affected by the presence of high levels of contamination by polysaccharides and phenolic compounds. With the protocol detailed here we describe for the first time total RNA purification from petiole tissue. Treating the plants used as source of material with short-day light regime prior the extraction we are able to obtain RNA suitable for further applications such as in vitro translation, RT-PCR, and RNA blot analysis. The yield of total RNA extraction is significantly enhanced when tissue from plants grown under short-day photoperiodic condition is used compared with that taken from plants grown under long day photoperiod.  相似文献

以玉米光敏感自交系CML288和不敏感自交系黄早4为实验材料,采用长日照15 h、短日照9 h的不同光周期处理,利用激光扫描共聚焦显微镜(laser scanning confocal microscope, LCSM)观察了不同叶龄期玉米茎尖分生组织的形态学变化.结果表明,短日照能促进玉米开花,促进茎端分生组织向生殖生长转化,黄早4和CML288分别在6叶期和7叶期完成茎尖分生组织的生殖转化;而长日照则明显延迟开花,延迟茎尖分生组织向生殖生长转化,黄早4和CML288分别在8叶期和11叶期完成茎尖分生组织的生殖转化;因此光周期诱导玉米开花因光照条件和品种有一定差异,短日照条件下,光敏感和不敏感的玉米自交系开花提前,花期更接近,而长日照条件下光敏感玉米自交系开花延迟要比不敏感自交系明显得多.  相似文献
