The investigation of two species of Lasthenia afforded two new guaianolides and a new bisabolone derivative, in addition to already known compounds. The presence of an eremophilenic acid in these plants is remarkable. The results are discussed chemotaxonomically, since the tribal position of this genus is still debated.  相似文献

Isotopic tracer experiments confirmed that glycerol and succinic acid are good precursors of the pyridine ring of ricinine in castor bean plants. Tritium from C-2 was lost from tritiated glycerol while tritium from C-1 was retained. Thus a derivative of dihydroxyacetone is likely to be intermediate. By simultaneous feeding of glycerol-1-(3)-[3H] and succinic acid-2(3)-[14C], it was hoped to find precursors of ricinine containing both labels, but none could be found. There was no evidence for the appearance of labeled quinolinic acid, which is presumed to be a precursor of ricinine.  相似文献

Two new cage-type lupin alkaloids, (?)-tsukushinamine-B and tsukushinamine-C, have been isolated from the fresh epigeal parts of Sophora franchetiana, along with (?)-cytisine, (?)-N-formylcytisine, (?)-rhombifoline, (?)-anagyrine, (?)-baptifoline and (±)-ammodendrine, as well as (?)-tsukushinamine-A. The structures of these novel tsukushinamine-type lupin alkaloids were determined by spectroscopic data and partly by a chemical reaction. Meloidogyne chitwoodi n. sp. is described and illustrated from potato (Solanum tuberosum) originally collected from Quincy, Washington, USA. This new species resembles M. hapla, but its perineal pattern is basically round to oval with distinctive and broken, curled, or twisted striae around and above the anal area. The vulva is in a sunken area devoid of striae. Vesicles or vesicle-like structures are present in the median bulb of females. The larva tail, being short and blunt with a hyaline tail terminal having little or no taper to its rounded terminus, is distinctively different from M. hapla. SEM observations revealed the nature of the perineal pattern and details of the head of larvae and males, and showed the spicules to have dentate tips ventrally. Hosts for M. chitwoodi n. sp. include potato, tomato, corn, and wheat but not strawberry, pepper, or peanut. The latter three crops are excellent hosts for M. hapla. The known distribntion of this new root-knot species presently involves certain areas of Idaho, Washington, and Oregon. The common name "Columbia root-knot nematode" is proposed for M. chitwoodi n. sp.  相似文献
