连香树(Cercidiphyllum japonicum)是第三纪孑遗植物, 存在严重的幼苗更新限制。为验证生活史早期(种子萌发)限制中国分布区北缘连香树种群幼苗更新, 并探讨其主要成因, 本研究在秦岭和太行山脉采集不同种源地的种子, 测定其形态性状、营养元素含量和质量、不同贮存时间的活力及不同温度条件下的萌发性状, 通过方差分析、相关分析等方法对不同种源地的种子性状进行分析。结果表明: 在中国分布区北缘, 其种子长度(P < 0.001)、萌发率(P < 0.001)、平均萌发时间(P < 0.001)、氮(P < 0.05)和磷含量(P < 0.001)在不同种源间存在显著差异; 而在区域尺度上(秦岭与太行山), 仅种子碳含量存在显著差异(P < 0.01)。天水种群的种子萌发率最高(21.77%), 平均萌发时间最长(11.12 d); 栾川的萌发率最低(1.38%), 平均萌发时间最短(3.47 d)。在25℃条件下, 济源种群的种子萌发率显著高于10℃、15℃和20℃条件下(P < 0.05), 而其他种源地的萌发率在不同温度条件下无显著差异。在4个温度条件下, 栾川种群种子的初始萌发时间无显著差异, 而其他4个种源地的初始萌发时间都随温度升高而缩短。相关分析结果表明, 种子萌发率与种子活力密切相关, 而种子活力与种子质量、种子的氮和磷含量显著相关。在中国分布区北缘, 连香树种子的自身属性(质量、氮和磷含量)通过影响种子活力间接影响萌发率; 且种子萌发对温度的响应主要表现在萌发时间上。本研究证实种子萌发是限制连香树种群幼苗更新的关键阶段, 主要原因如下: (1)连香树种子在9月成熟后, 10月的温度仍适宜种子萌发, 但较短生长期的幼苗在冬季低温下不能存活; (2)连香树种子萌发率低(14.4%); (3)第二年春天种子活力骤降。  相似文献

ObjectivesMammography mass recognition is considered as a very challenge pattern recognition problem due to the high similarity between normal and abnormal masses. Therefore, the main objective of this study is to develop an efficient and optimized two-stage recognition model to tackle this recognition task.Material and methodsBasically, the developed recognition model combines an ensemble of linear Support Vector Machine (SVM) classifiers with a Reinforcement Learning-based Memetic Particle Swarm Optimizer (RLMPSO) as RLMPSO-SVM recognition model. RLMPSO is used to construct a two-stage of an ensemble of linear SVM classifiers by performing simultaneous SVM parameters tuning, features selection, and training instances selection. The first stage of RLMPSO-SVM recognition model is responsible about recognizing the input ROI mammography masses as normal or abnormal mass pattern. Meanwhile, the second stage of RLMPSO-SVM model used to perform further recognition for abnormal ROIs as malignant or benign masses. In order to evaluate the effectiveness of RLMPSO-SVM, a total of 1187 normal ROIs, 111 malignant ROIs, and 135 benign ROIs were randomly selected from DDSM database images.ResultsReported results indicated that RLMPSO-SVM model was able to achieve performances of 97.57% sensitivity rate with 97.86% specificity rate for normal vs. abnormal recognition cases. For malignant vs. benign recognition performance it was reported of 97.81% sensitivity rate with 96.92% specificity rate.ConclusionReported results indicated that RLMPSO-SVM recognition model is an effective tool that could assist the radiologist during the diagnosis of the presented abnormalities in mammography images. The outcomes indicated that RLMPSO-SVM significantly outperformed various SVM-based models as well as other variants of computational intelligence models including multi-layer perceptron, naive Bayes classifier, and k-nearest neighbor.  相似文献

Pacific geoducks (Panopea generosa) are clams found along the northeast Pacific coast where they are important components of coastal and estuarine ecosystems and a major aquaculture product. The Pacific coastline, however, is also experiencing rapidly changing ocean habitat, including significant reductions in pH. To better understand the physiological impact of ocean acidification on geoduck clams, we characterized for the first time the proteomic profile of this bivalve during larval development and compared it to that of larvae exposed to low pH conditions. Geoduck larvae were reared at pH 7.5 (ambient) or pH 7.1 in a commercial shellfish hatchery from day 6 to day 19 postfertilization and sampled at six time points for an in‐depth proteomics analysis using high‐resolution data‐dependent analysis. Larvae reared at low pH were smaller than those reared at ambient pH, especially in the prodissoconch II phase of development, and displayed a delay in their competency for settlement. Proteomic profiles revealed that metabolic, cell cycle, and protein turnover pathways differed between the two pH and suggested that differing phenotypic outcomes between pH 7.5 and 7.1 are likely due to environmental disruptions to the timing of physiological events. In summary, ocean acidification results in elevated energetic demand on geoduck larvae, resulting in delayed development and disruptions to normal molecular developmental pathways, such as carbohydrate metabolism, cell growth, and protein synthesis.  相似文献

The distribution of last occurrences of fossil taxa in a stratigraphic column are used to infer the pattern, timing and tempo of extinction from the fossil record. Clusters of last occurrences are commonly interpreted as an abrupt pulse of extinction. However, stratigraphic architecture alone can produce clusters of last occurrences that can be misinterpreted as an extinction pulse. These clusters will typically occur in strata that immediately underlie facies changes and sequence‐stratigraphic surfaces. It has been proposed that a basin‐wide analysis of the fossil record within a sequence‐stratigraphic framework can be used to distinguish between clusters of last occurrences caused solely by extinction pulses from those generated by sequence‐stratigraphic architecture. A basin‐wide approach makes it possible to observe lateral facies shifts in response to sea‐level change, mitigating the effects of stratigraphic architecture. Using computer simulations of plausible Late Ordovician mass‐extinction scenarios tuned to an inferred Late Ordovician sea‐level curve, we show that stratigraphically‐generated clusters of last occurrences are observed even in basin‐wide analyses of the simulated fossil records due to the basin‐wide loss of preferred facies for many taxa. Nonetheless, we demonstrate that by coarsening the stratigraphic resolution to the systems‐tract level and identifying facies preferences of simulated taxa, we can filter out taxa whose last occurrences coincide with the basin‐wide loss of their preferred facies. This enables consistent identification of the underlying extinction pattern for a wide variety of extinction scenarios. Applying this approach to empirical field data can help to constrain underlying extinction patterns from the fossil record.  相似文献

Background: The pandemic of novel coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has become a serious public health crisis worldwide. The symptoms of COVID-19 vary from mild to severe among different age groups, but the physiological changes related to COVID-19 are barely understood.Methods: In the present study, a high-resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS)-based lipidomic strategy was used to characterize the endogenous plasma lipids for cured COVID-19 patients with different ages and symptoms. These patients were further divided into two groups: those with severe symptoms or who were elderly and relatively young patients with mild symptoms. In addition, automated lipidomic identification and alignment was conducted by LipidSearch software. Multivariate and univariate analyses were used for differential comparison.Results: Nearly 500 lipid compounds were identified in each cured COVID-19 group through LipidSearch software. At the level of lipid subclasses, patients with severe symptoms or elderly patients displayed dramatic changes in plasma lipidomic alterations, such as increased triglycerides and decreased cholesteryl esters (ChE). Some of these differential lipids might also have essential biological functions. Furthermore, the differential analysis of plasma lipids among groups was performed to provide potential prognostic indicators, and the change in signaling pathways.Conclusions: Dyslipidemia was observed in cured COVID-19 patients due to the viral infection and medical treatment, and the discharged patients should continue to undergo consolidation therapy. This work provides valuable knowledge about plasma lipid markers and potential therapeutic targets of COVID-19 and essential resources for further research on the pathogenesis of COVID-19.  相似文献

Biological control efficiency can be improved by developing effective mass‐rearing systems to produce large numbers of high‐quality parasitoids. This study explored an alternative host for rearing Sclerodermus brevicornis (Kieffer) (Hymenoptera: Bethylidae), a potential biocontrol agent for the suppression of exotic and invasive wood‐boring longhorn beetle (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae) populations in the European agroforestry ecosystems. We tested larvae of the rice moth, Corcyra cephalonica Stainton (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae), as host for the parasitoid. We quantified the probability and timing of host attack and parasitism as well as reproductive success, offspring production, and the characteristics of adult offspring. As S. brevicornis is a quasi‐social species (multiple females, communally produced offspring broods), we also explored the effects of varying the number of females to which individual hosts were presented, with the aim of determining the optimal female‐to‐host ratio. As time to host attack can be a limiting factor in S. brevicornis rearing protocols, we tested the use of adult females of another bethylid species, Goniozus legneri Gordh, to paralyse C. cephalonica larvae prior to presentation. We identified the conditions within our experiment that maximized offspring production per host and offspring production per adult female parasitoid. We found that C. cephalonica is suitable as a factitious host and, as it is considerably more straightforward for laboratory rearing than cerambycid species, it is a good candidate for adoption by future S. brevicornis mass‐rearing and release programmes.  相似文献
