Glyphosate, the most used herbicide in the world, has a residue problem that cannot be ignored. However, glyphosate itself does not have fluorescence emission and lacks the conditions for fluorescence detection. In this work, a rapid and selective fluorescence detection method of glyphosate was designed by an ‘on–off–on’ fluorescent switch based on a luminous covalent organic framework (L-COF). Only the fixed concentration of Fe3+ as an intermediate could trigger the fluorescent switch and no incubation step was required. The proposed method showed good accuracy with a correlation coefficient of 0.9978. The method's limits of detection and quantitation were 0.88 and 2.93 μmol/L, which were lower than the maximum allowable residue limits in some regulations. Environmental water samples and tomatoes were selected as actual samples to verify the application in a complex matrix. A satisfactory mean recovery from 87% to 106% was gained. Furthermore, Fe3+ could induce fluorescence quenching of L-COF through the photo-induced electron transfer (PET) effect, while the addition of glyphosate could block the PET effect to achieve detection. These results demonstrated the proposed method had abilities to detect glyphosate and broaden the application of L-COF.  相似文献

Perennial energy grasses have gained attention in recent years as a promising resource for the bioeconomy because of their benign environmental profile, high stress tolerance, high biomass yields and low input requirements. Currently, strong breeding efforts are being made to extend the range of commercially available miscanthus and switchgrass genotypes. In order to foster farmers' acceptance of these crops, and especially of novel hybrids, more information is required about how they can be efficiently integrated into cropping rotations, how they can be removed at the end of their productive lifespan, and what effect they have on subsequently grown crops. Farmers in Europe are meanwhile increasingly constrained in the methods available to them to remove these crops, and there is a risk that the herbicide glyphosate, which has been used in many studies to remove them, will be banned in coming years. This study looks at the removal of seven-year-old stands of miscanthus and switchgrass over 1 year at an experimental site in Southern-Germany. Three novel miscanthus genotypes were studied, alongside one variety of switchgrass, and the impact of each crop's removal on the yield of maize grown as a follow-on crop was examined. A combination of soil tillage and grass herbicides for maize cultivation was successful in controlling miscanthus regrowth, such that yields of maize grown after miscanthus did not differ significantly from yields of maize grown in monoculture rotation (18.1 t dry biomass ha−1). Yields of maize grown after switchgrass (14.4 t dry biomass ha−1) were significantly lower than maize in monoculture rotation caused by insufficient control of switchgrass regrowth by the applied maize herbicide. Although some regrowth of miscanthus and switchgrass was observed in the follow-on crop maize, complete eradication of both crops was achieved by subsequent winter wheat cultivation.  相似文献

Barriers to establishing native plant communities on former pasture include dominance by a single planted species, hydrologic and edaphic alteration, and native species propagule limitation. Establishment may be dispersal‐limited (propagules do not arrive at the site), microsite‐limited (areas suitable for seedling emergence and survival do not exist), or both. Successful restoration strategies hinge on identifying and addressing critical limitations. We examined seed and microsite limitation to establishment of a native wildflower (Coreopsis lanceolata ) in a former pasture dominated by Paspalum notatum (bahiagrass). We determined the relative and interactive effects of microsite (irrigation and disturbance) and seed limitation on C. lanceolata establishment. We tested (1) irrigation (none, pre‐seeding, and pre‐ and post‐seeding), (2) disturbance (none, sethoxydim, glyphosate, and topsoil removal), and (3) C. lanceolata seeding rate (three seeding densities). Applying glyphosate before seeding increased C. lanceolata establishment compared to other disturbance treatments. Ultimately, C. lanceolata establishment was not affected by irrigation. Coreopsis lanceolata establishment was limited when seeded at 100 live seeds/m2 but not at 600 or 1100 live seeds/m2. Seed and microsite availability interactively affected C. lanceolata establishment, in that microsite limitation was biologically relevant only when a minimum number of seeds were present. In practice, both seed and microsite requirements must be met for successful establishment, and increasing the availability of seeds or microsites does not compensate for limitations of the other. Here, it is the relative importance of seed and microsite limitations that drives plant establishment; these limitations do not represent a simple dichotomy.  相似文献

The use of genetically modified varieties tolerant to herbicides (HT varieties) and resistant to insects (Bt varieties) in combination with application of a broad-spectrum herbicide such as glyphosate could be an effective option for the simultaneous control of weeds and pests in maize. Nevertheless, the possible impact of these tools on nontarget arthropods still needs to be evaluated. In a field study in central Spain, potential changes in populations of canopy-dwelling arthropods in Bt maize under different weed management options, including glyphosate application, were investigated. Canopy-dwelling arthropods were sampled by visual inspection and yellow sticky traps. The Bt variety had no effect on any group of studied arthropods, except for the expected case of corn borers—the target pests of Bt maize. Regarding the effects of herbicide regimes, the only observed difference was a lower abundance of Cicadellidae and Mymaridae on yellow sticky traps in plots not treated with pre-emergence herbicides. This effect was especially pronounced in a treatment involving two glyphosate applications. The decrease in Cicadellidae and Mymaridae populations was associated with a higher density of weeds in plots, which may have hindered colonization of the crop by leafhoppers. These differences, however, were only significant in the last year of the study. The low likelihood of the use of glyphosate- and herbicide-tolerant varieties for weed control triggering important effects on the nontarget arthropod fauna of the maize canopy is discussed.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

Glyphosate (GL) inhibits the aromatic amino acid biosynthesis in plants and is worldwide the most used non-selective herbicide. Less is known about in vivo effects of GL contaminated feedstuffs on the health of dairy cows. The aim of this study was to examine the effects of GL residues in feed at different concentrate feed proportions (CFP) on haematology, immunological and redox parameters and on DNA-damage of blood cells in lactating dairy cows. During a 16-trial, 61 German Holstein cows (207 ± 49 d in milk; mean ± SD) were fed the same ration in week 0. Afterwards, they were assigned to either a group receiving a GL contaminated or a group receiving an uncontaminated total mixed ration (CON). Each group was subdivided into a “low concentrate” group (LC) and a “high concentrate” group (HC) with an energy content of 6.63 MJ NEL and 7.18 MJ NEL/kg dry matter, respectively. The diets were offered for ad libitum consumption. Blood samples were taken at weeks 0, 4, 8, 12 and 16. All blood samples were analysed for white and red blood cell counts. T-cell subpopulations, oxidative burst capability of leukocytes, apoptosis rate, phagocytic activity, activities of superoxide dismutase and glutathione peroxidase, the total non-enzymatic antioxidative capacity, viability and stimulation capacity of peripheral blood mononuclear cells and micronucleus- and comet assay on bovine leukocytes were measured only in week 16. The average individual GL intake of groups CON, GLLC and GLHC was 1.2 µg, 112.6 µg and 132.8 µg per kg body weight and day, respectively. GL contamination did not affect any of the tested parameters whereas CFP and time-influenced leukocytes, granulocytes, red blood cells, haemoglobin, haematocrit, mean corpuscular volume, mean corpuscular haemoglobin and CD4+ T-cells in an interactive manner characterised by a time-dependent increase in HC groups. It can be concluded that GL and GL in combination with different CFP showed no influence on any of the tested endpoints, whereas CFP and time influenced most parameters in an interactive manner.  相似文献
