买麻藤(Gnetum montanum Mgr.)茎的各类组织的排列与被子植物的茎非常相似,其次生生长也属同一类型。其中最明显的相似之处,是木质部中的导管和韧皮部中的筛分子与“伴胞”。藤本植物买麻藤,正常的次生生长开始后,由每一维管束外侧的薄壁组织经脱分化产生新的形成层,以后逐渐形成一圈维管束。这与前人所描述的新形成层来自韧皮薄壁组织是不同的。异常的维管束与正常的一样,由木质部和韧皮部组成,并被髓射线分隔呈楔形。当第一轮维管束停止生长以后,在其外围以同样方式形成新的一轮,以后并可连续形成多轮。  相似文献

An action spectrum for carotenogenesis in V. agaricinum has maxima at 395, 433, 660 and 737 nm. In a previous study it had been shown that a light-minus-dark difference spectrum of a crude extract from V. agaricinum had maxima at 390 and 420 nm, and furthermore a red, far-red interaction suggesting phytochrome involvement has been proposed. All these data suggest that there may be at least two photoreceptor systems operating in the photoinduction process here; one for the near-ultraviolet (UV-A)-mediated carotenogenesis, presumably a novel pigment, and the other for the red, far-red region, most likely phytochrome.  相似文献

Wood samples, infested by fungi during storage, were shown to contain, besides the known 5-methyl-mellein, additional (3R)-8-hydroxy-3-methyl-3,4-dihydroisocoumarins substituted by 7-methyl, 5-formyl, 5-carboxy, 5-hydroxy, 5-methoxy, 6-methoxy-5-methyl and 6,7-dimethoxy-5-methyl groups, as well as 6-formyl-7-hydroxy-5-methoxy-4-methylphthalide. Several 2-methylchromanones were synthesized in order to show that this class of compounds can be distinguished from 3-methyl-3,4-dihydroisocoumarins by MS.  相似文献

A lumped model for cell growth and secondary metabolite production in an immobilized live cell bioreactor has been developed. This model is applied here to simulate the performance of an immobilized bioreactor under steady-state conditions and under conditions of periodically varying concentration of a growth-limiting substrate. The results of the simulation study were experimentally verified in the case of the production of the antibiotic candicidin by Streptomyces griseus in an immobilized bioreactor with forced periodic operation. The results of the studies suggest that periodically operated immobilized live cell bioreactors can provide a potent alternative for the production of non-growth-associated biochemicals, as compared to free cell fermentations, pulsed fermentations with process cycle regeneration, and nonregenerated bioreactors. This work has demonstrated that by frequent pulsing of the growth limiting nutrient, stable extended production can be obtained at high specific cellular productivities.  相似文献

Summary In a recent report mouse B1 genomic repeats were divided into six families representing different waves of fixation of B1 variants, consistent with the retroposition model of human Alu elements. These data are used to examine the distribution of nucleotide substitutions in individual genomic repeats with respect to family consensus sequences and to compare the minimal energy structures of the corresponding B1 RNAs. By an enzymatic approach the predicted structure of B1 RNAs is experimentally confirmed using as a model sequence an RNA of a young B1 family member transcribed in vitro by T7 RNA polymerase. B1 RNA preserves folding domains of the Alu fragment of 7SL RNA, its progenitor molecule. Our results reveal similarities among 7SL-like retroposons, human Alu, and rodent B1 repeats, and relate the evolutionary conservation of B1 family consensus sequences to selection at the RNA level.  相似文献

A method to investigate the structure of RNA molecules within intact plant tissues has been developed. The RNA structures are analyzed using dimethyl sulfate (DMS), which modifies substituents of adenine and cytosine residues within single-stranded regions of RNA molecules. Reactive sites are identified by primer extension analysis. Using this procedure, an analysis of the secondary structure of the cytoplasmic 18S ribosomal RNA in soybean seedling leaves has been completed. DMS modification data are in good agreement with the phylogenetic structure predicted for soybean 18S rRNA. However, there are a few notable exceptions where residues thought to be involved in double-stranded regions in all 18S rRNAs are strongly modified in soybean leaf samples. These data taken together with the phylogenetic structure suggest that alternate structures may exist in vivo.The further applicability of this technique is demonstrated by comparing the modification pattern obtained in vivo to that obtained in vitro for a particular mRNA molecule encoding the small subunit of ribulose-1,5-bisphosphate carboxylase. The results obtained are compared to a predicted minimum energy secondary structure. The data indicate that the conformation of RNA molecules within the cell may not be reflected in a structural analysis of purified mRNA molecules.  相似文献

Fungi were isolated from soybean plants in ten fields in south-west France. Correspondence analysis (COA) was used to find associations among taxa (species, genera, groups) and sampling units (i.e. one field at one sampling date). The first axis of the COA demonstrated a dominant sampling date effect; the second indicated an association among certain sampling units and specific taxa. Regression analysis of COA coordinate values indicated that fields with high relative isolation frequencies of Fusarium spp., F. oxysporum and ‘other species’ (mostly Chaetomium spp. and sterile fungi) were characterised by greater plant fresh weight and nodule number and lower ratings for root necrosis. Cylindrocarpon spp., Cephalosporium spp. and F. solanihad high relative isolation frequencies in fields with lower plant weight, lower nodule number and higher root necrosis ratings. The relative importance of fungal taxa was also related to soil type.  相似文献
