Leaf wax of a glaucous variety of Poa ampla contains hydrocarbons (5%, C23–C35), esters (9%, C36–C56), free acids (3%, C16–C34), free alcohols (6%, mainly C26); hentriacontane-14,16-dione (14%), 5-oxohentriacontane-14,16-dione (1%); hydroxy β-diketones (56%) and unidentified material (6%). The hydroxy β-diketones, which are more abundant in this wax than in others, were shown by 13C NMR to consist of 4-hydroxy (15%), 5-hydroxy (70%) and 6-hydroxy (15%) hentriacontane-14,16-diones.  相似文献

The soluble neutral proteinase of human erythrocytes dissociates into constituent subunits of 80k and 30k in the presence of mM concentrations of Ca2+. Similarly the soluble natural inhibitor of this proteinase, of approximate molecular weight 240k, is dissociated into 60k subunits by mM concentrations of Ca2+. Removal of Ca2+ restores the native oligomeric structure of the proteinase and of the natural inhibitor. The formation of the native active enzyme or of the inactive enzyme-inhibitor complex depends on reversible association-dissociation processes mediated by Ca2+ concentration.  相似文献

Meristem-derived plantlets of cassava (Manihot esculenta Crantz) were induced to flower in vitro. Five genotypes out of 13 consistently responded to our culture conditions giving rise to male or female flowers. 本文制备了新型隐球菌L型高渗培养基。新型隐球菌L型的特征为:革兰氏染色性改变;大小不一;能通过孔径0.8μm的滤器;电镜检查细胞壁有不同程度的缺损。在高渗液体培养基中,新型隐球菌L型缓慢生长、不易回复;在高渗平板上则易回复。稳定、不稳定隐球菌L型的生化反映与其酵母型相似,但稳定L型的同化能力及尿素分解能力减弱。新型隐球菌形成L型后,其形态、培养特性及生化反映发生变异,这在菌种鉴定与临床检验时要注意。  相似文献

A series of coal mine spoils (5, 10, 12, 16 and 20-yr old) in a dry tropical environment was sampled to assess the changes with time in spoil characteristics, species composition and plant biomass. Coarse fragments (>2 mm) decreased with age of mine spoil while the proportion of 0.2–0.1 mm particles increased. Total soil N, mineral N, NaHCO3-extractable Pi, and exchangeable K increased with age of mine spoil and these parameters were lower in mine spoils than native forest soil even after 20 years of succession. Exchangeable Na decreased with age of mine spoil and in 20-yr old spoil it was higher than native forest soil. Plant community composition changed with age. Only a few species participated in community formation. Species richness increased with age, while evenness and species diversity declined from 5-yr old to 16-yr old community with an increase in the 20-yr old community. A reverse trend occurred for concentration of dominance. Area-weighted shoot and root biomass of other species increased with the age of the mine spoil while that of Xanthium strumarium patches declined with age. Data collected on spoil features, microbial C, N and P, and shoot and root biomass when subjected to Discriminant Analysis indicated a continued profound effect of age. 10 and 12-yr old mine spoils were closer to each other, and 5 and 20-yr old spoils were farthest apart.  相似文献

Nuñas (Thaseolus vulgaris, Fabaceae), commonly called popping beans, are traditionally grown in the Andean highlands of South America, and are consumed as a snack food after a quick toasting process. Proximate analysis of their nutritive value revealed that nunas have a higher content of starch, amylose, and copper than four dry bean varieties and a lower mean content of protein, phosphorous, iron, and boron. The unique texture and taste of nuñas may be related to their high starch content. Antinutritional factors such as lectins were higher in raw and boiled nuña samples than in toasted nuñas, while tannin levels did not change from raw to toasted treatments. Overall in-vitro digestibility was slightly lower for toasted nunas than boiled dry bean.  相似文献

An in vitro method was developed to regenerate large numbers of phenotypically uniform plants from the basal parts of the leaves of flowering plants of Renanthera imschootiana Rolfe. Differentiation of up to 10 shoot buds free of callus and protocorm-like bodies occurred in 10–12 weeks from the base of a single leaf implanted in Mitra et al. (1976) medium supplemented with 2% sucrose, 2 g l-1 peptone, 44.4 M benzyladenine (BA) and 10.7 M naphthaleneacetic acid (NAA). Subculture of the tissues in medium enriched with 10% coconut water and 35 g l-1 ripe banana pulp resulted in the production of highest average number of 40 shoots in 12 weeks. No difference in the regeneration potential was observed among the three young leaves while mature leaves did not respond. All the leaves of the regenerated shoots were easily recultured to increase shoot multiplication. Shoots readily formed roots on transfer to a medium containing 4.4 M BA, 10.7 M NAA and 1% activated charcoal. All regenerated plants examined were normal diploids with 2n=38.
