论证了黄土高原农牧交错带在全球所有同纬度(39°~41°N)地区中是作物生长盛期内光、温及降水条件组合最好的地带,并以初步的实证和观测支持了这一论点,阐述了通过开发能很好地适应自然条件,特别是能扬长避短,充分利用总体上虽较严酷而局部具有优势的气候资源的“系统生产力”的新思路;中心选择和应用生物量高、水分效率高、覆盖作用好的新作物和相应的种植制度,围绕生物量“为牧而农”式地实行农牧结合;重“料”于粮草,相应改变传统农业的格局,以大幅度地提高黄土高原地区的系统生产力,探索走出一条生态重建和支柱产业协调发展新路的可能性。  相似文献

Two‐phase partitioning bioreactor technology involves the use of a secondary immiscible phase to lower the concentration of cytotoxic solutes in the fermentation broth to subinhibitory levels. Although polymeric absorbents have attracted recent interest due to their low cost and biocompatibility, material selection requires the consideration of properties beyond those of small molecule absorbents (i.e., immiscible organic solvents). These include a polymer's (1) thermodynamic affinity for the target compound, (2) degree of crystallinity (wc), and (3) glass transition temperature (Tg). We have examined the capability of three thermodynamic models to predict the partition coefficient (PC) for n‐butyric acid, a fermentation product, in 15 polymers. Whereas PC predictions for amorphous materials had an average absolute deviation (AAD) of ≥16%, predictions for semicrystalline polymers were less accurate (AAD ≥ 30%). Prediction errors were associated with uncertainties in determining the degree of crystallinity within a polymer and the effect of absorbed water on n‐butyric acid partitioning. Further complications were found to arise for semicrystalline polymers, wherein strongly interacting solutes increased the polymer's absorptive capacity by actually dissolving the crystalline fraction. Finally, we determined that diffusion limitations may occur for polymers operating near their Tg, and that the Tg can be reduced by plasticization by water and/or solute. This study has demonstrated the impact of basic material properties that affects the performance of polymers as sequestering phases in TPPBs, and reflects the additional complexity of polymers that must be taken into account in material selection. © 2015 American Institute of Chemical Engineers Biotechnol. The Australian stocks and flows framework (ASFF) is a tool for establishing a coherent historical picture of the Australian physical economy and for testing long-term future scenarios (up to 2050 or even 2100). These scenarios can be used to investigate the long-term physical consequences of current and future choices affecting the physical dimensions of sustainability. In this article we describe the methodology for and construction of a key component of ASFF: a dynamic physical input-output model of material flows in the basic industries.
The materials model in ASFF describes physical flows and their transformation by industrial processes. The model's structure permits scenario analysis of long-term technological change by permitting time-varying input-output coefficients and vintage models of capital stocks. As a consequence, the model contains a large number of parameters, which can be left at default settings or adjusted as the modeler sees fit, in order to simulate the widest possible range of physically realizable scenarios. The materials model is built using a methodology that integrates bottom-up process analysis with top-down statistics on material and energy flows. We present some examples showing how the materials model has been implemented to model Australian heavy industries. Several possibilities for further developing the materials model are also described.  相似文献

Small-scale industries account for a large proportion of jobs and play a vital role in most countries’ economic growth and prosperity. Due to the very low use of personal protective equipment (PPEs), employees are exposed to numerous physical, chemical, and accidental hazards in small-scale industries. PPEs are very effective in minimizing occupational injuries, accidents, and other hazards which otherwise result in substantial manpower and financial losses. The study objective was to assess the availability and use of PPEs as well as self-reported occupational exposures among workers in surveyed small industries in Jeddah. The study involved 102 workers from 28 small-scale industries (vehicle repair, welding, and paint). A survey was conducted to gather data of socio-demographic characteristics, self-reported occupational exposures, and frequency of PPEs used by workers. The occupational exposures (never exposed, sometimes exposed and always exposed) were reported in percentages including; noise exposure (19.6, 73.5 and 6.9%); dust/smoke exposure (9.8, 69.6 and 20.6%); vapors/fumes exposure (11.8, 60.8 and 27.5%); and direct sunlight (43.1, 56.9 and 0%), respectively. The reported use of different PPEs in descending order was; knee joints mats (50%), welding shields (50%), safety glasses (33.3%), gloves (27.5%), face masks (26.5%), safety shoes (10.8%) and earplugs/ muffs (8.8%). On the basis of this study findings, hand hygiene and general OSH awareness like interventions can be developed which will help in minimizing workplace exposures among small-scale industry workers.  相似文献

川西亚高山森林凋落物不同分解阶段基质质量特征   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
采用空间代替时间的方法,以川西高山亚高山云杉(Picea asperata)人工林、冷杉(Abies faxoniana)天然林、杜鹃(Rhododendron lapponicum)矮曲林和白桦(Betula platyphylla Suk.)天然林4种典型林分类型下的3个层次[新鲜凋落物层(L)、发酵层(F)、腐殖质层(H)]凋落物为研究对象,分别模拟凋落物分解的前期、中期和后期阶段,对凋落物的基质质量,包括水溶性组分(WSC)及有机溶性组分(OSC)、酸溶性组分(ASE)及酸不溶性组分(AIR)的含量进行分析,以揭示亚高山森林不同分解阶段凋落物的质量特征。结果表明:4种林分类型凋落物的WSC、OSC、ASE含量均随分解的进行不断减少,且分解前期的淋溶释放量高于分解中后期,而AIR含量及表征4种凋落物酸溶性和酸不溶性组分含量相对比例的LCI指数(lignocellulose index)随分解的进行却呈现上升趋势。4种林分凋落物L层的WSC含量及白桦、冷杉、云杉凋落物L层OSC含量均显著高于相应F、H层,而F、H层间差异不显著;而杜鹃凋落物OSC含量则表现为L层F层H层,且各层间均差异显著。林分类型对凋落物分解过程中的WSC、OSC、AIR含量有极显著影响,但对ASE和LCI指数影响却不显著。4个林分比较而言,阔叶林凋落物的WSC、OSC含量高于针叶林,AIR含量低于针叶林,白桦WSC含量在L、F层均最高。研究认为,分解阶段和林分类型对川西亚高山森林凋落物基质质量具有重要影响,但对各组分的影响有所差异。研究结果对深入理解亚高山森林生态系统的物质循环具有重要意义。  相似文献

研究了各种表面活性剂对丁醇萃取发酵的影响。丁醇发酵中有大量H2、CO2气体生成,生成的气泡携带发酵溶剂产物(丁醇、丙酮)进入萃取液相,促进了水相中发酵毒性产物向萃取液相的移动。研究发现,表面活性剂可以降低气-液膜的表面张力,促使大气泡破碎,从而使发酵产气以较小气泡的形式穿过萃取液相。添加表面活性剂可以强化发酵溶剂产物从水相到萃取相的移除速度,缩短发酵产物在油水两相中达到平衡的时间。有利于提高发酵生产强度。以地沟生物柴油为萃取剂,吐温-80的添加量为质量分数0.140%时,与对照相比(无表面活性剂的萃取发酵),相同发酵时间内萃取相中丁醇体积分数提高了21.2%.总溶剂生产强唐也提高了16.5%.  相似文献

The variety of South American lithic industries in the Early Holocene indicates that the settlement processes were characterized by cultural diversification and adaptive flexibility. In the present article, we will analyze the bifacial lithic industries of southern Brazil that include projectile points in their repertoire of instruments, through a comparative study between the results of research in the hydrographic regions of Uruguay River and Lake Guaíba. Our objective is to problematize issues about the construction of cultural territories in the process of initial settlement of the South American Cone through the analysis of technical systems.  相似文献

Aim

Mining is increasingly pressuring areas of critical importance for biodiversity conservation, such as the Brazilian Amazon. Biodiversity data are limited in the tropics, restricting the scope for risks to be appropriately estimated before mineral licensing decisions are made. As the distributions and range sizes of other taxa differ markedly from those of vertebrates—the common proxy for analysis of risk to biodiversity from mining—whether mining threatens lesser-studied taxonomic groups differentially at a regional scale is unclear.

Location

Brazilian Amazon.

Methods

We assess risks to several facets of biodiversity from industrial mining by comparing mining areas (within 70 km of an active mining lease) and areas unaffected by mining, employing species richness, species endemism, phylogenetic diversity and phylogenetic endemism metrics calculated for angiosperms, arthropods and vertebrates.

Results

Mining areas contained higher densities of species occurrence records than the unaffected landscape, and we accounted for this sampling bias in our analyses. None of the four biodiversity metrics differed between mining and nonmining areas for vertebrates. For arthropods, species endemism was greater in mined areas. Mined areas also had greater angiosperm species richness, phylogenetic diversity and phylogenetic endemism, although less species endemism than unmined areas.

Main Conclusions

Unlike for vertebrates, facets of angiosperm and arthropod diversity are relatively higher in areas of mining activity, underscoring the need to consider multiple taxonomic groups and biodiversity facets when assessing risk and evaluating management options for mining threats. Particularly concerning is the proximity of mining to areas supporting deep evolutionary history, which may be impossible to recover or replace. As pressures to expand mining in the Amazon grow, impact assessments with broader taxonomic reach and metric focus will be vital to conserving biodiversity in mining regions.  相似文献
