In infrared spectroscopy of thin film samples, interference introduces distortions in spectra, commonly referred to as fringes. Fringes may alter absorbance peak ratios, which hampers the spectral analysis. We have previously introduced extended multiplicative signal correction (EMSC) for fringes correction. In the current article, we provide a robust open-source algorithm for fringe correction in infrared spectroscopy and propose several improvements to the Fringe EMSC model. The suggested algorithm achieves a more precise fringe frequency estimation by mean centering of the measured spectrum and applying a window function prior to the Fourier transform. It selects two frequencies from a user defined number of maxima in the Fourier domain. The improved Fringe EMSC algorithm is validated on two experimental datasets, one of them being a hyperspectral image. Techniques for separating sample spectra from background spectra in hyperspectral images, and techniques to identify spectra affected by fringes are also provided. 相似文献

There is a growing concern in the flux community that using the eddy covariance method with open‐path CO2 analyzers often leads to measurements of an apparent ecosystem CO2 uptake during off‐season periods, especially in cold climates. Such uptake has not been observed when measurements were made with closed‐path analyzers, chambers, or profile methods, suggesting it is an artifact due in some way to the use of open‐path analyzers. In this study, a series of laboratory tests and field experiments were conducted to determine the magnitude of the instrument surface heat exchange in the open path and its relationship with the measured CO2 flux. Results showed that (1) the surface of an open‐path instrument became substantially warmer than ambient due to electronics and radiation load during daytime, while at night, radiative cooling moderated temperature increases in the path; (2) high‐frequency temperature measurements inside the path were correlated with vertical wind speed producing sensible heat flux inside the instrument path exceeding the ambient heat flux by up to 14%; (3) enclosing the open‐path instrument eliminated the sensible heat flux in the path, and caused measured CO2 flux to match a closed‐path reference; (4) using sensible heat flux measured directly inside the open path in the WPL term instead of the ambient sensible heat flux also led to a match in CO2 flux between open‐path instrument and closed‐path reference; and (5) correcting previously collected open‐path CO2 flux data was possible by estimating the instrument heating effect with a semi‐empirical model using standard weather variables. Results showed that all proposed techniques led to a significant reduction in apparent CO2 uptake during off‐season periods and to a reduction of the underestimation of CO2 release in other periods. An expression for the likelihood function of a stationary vectorautoregressive-moving average process is developed. The expressionis very efficient numerically and applies to any stationarybut not necessarily invertible model. In particular, when themultivariate process is autoregressive, the exact likelihoodcan be evaluated with a small number of operations dependingon the order of the autoregressive operator and the processdimension, but not on the size of the observed series. The expressionalso provides an efficient method for the evaluation of theexact likelihood of a partially nonstationary vector autoregressive-movingaverage process, for which the determinant of the autoregressiveoperator has at least one unit root and the remaining rootsare outside the unit circle. This method does not require differencingthe series, so that complications caused by over-differencingthe series, such as noninvertibility and parameter identifiabilityproblems, are avoided. Current elastography techniques are limited in application to accurately assess spatially resolved corneal elasticity in vivo for human eyes. The air‐puff optical coherence elastography (OCE) with an eye motion artifacts correction algorithm is developed to distinguish the in vivo cornea vibration from the eye motion and visualize the Lamb wave propagation clearly in healthy subjects. Based on the Lamb wave model, the phase velocity dispersion curve in the high‐frequency is calculated to obtain spatially resolved corneal elasticity accurately with high repeatability. It is found that the corneal elasticity has regional variations and is correlated with intraocular pressure, which suggests that the method has the potential to provide noninvasive measurement of spatially resolved corneal elasticity in clinical practice. 相似文献

Summary The surfaces of the organs of Sachs and Hunter of Electrophorus electricus L. were examined by scanning electron microscopy. Special attention was directed to morphological details of the electrocyte to provide a better understanding of its anterior and posterior faces. Some aspects of the microanatomy of these organs, which differ markedly from those of the main electric organ, provide new information on the structure as revealed previously by light and transmission electron microscopy. The relief, mainly expressed by papillae, is related to the actual membrane area, which is important for calculations of specific resistance and conductance. Information is also presented on the general organization of the tissue, in particular the distribution of the connective elements and external configuration of synaptic terminals. Shrinkage in preparation of tissue was evaluated and correction made whenever necessary. Correction factors for actual membrane area were calculated for anterior and posterior faces of electrocytes from both organs. 相似文献
