Chilo partellus, the spotted stem borer (SSB), is reported for the first time from the fields of sorghum and corn in Israel. Spotted stem borer larvae were first discovered in July 2010 on sorghum and corn plants in the Western Galilee. The new pest had spread all over northern Israel by the end of 2011. The identity of the new pest was confirmed using the morphology of the dissected male genitalia and its attraction to SSB sex pheromone.  相似文献

Histological observations of okra Abelomoschus esculentus ''Clemson Spineless'' and ridgeseed spurge Euphorbia glyptosperma (a common weed) infected with Meloidodera charis Hopper, indicated that the juvenile nematode penetrated the roots intercellularly. Within 5 days after plant emergence the nematode positioned its body in the cortical tissue parallel to the vascular system. By 10 days after plant emergence the juvenile had extended its head into the vascular system and initiated giant cell formation, generally in protophloem tissue. Giant cells were one celled and usually multi-nucleate. Eggs were observed in the female body 30 days after plants emerged and juveniles were found within the female body by 40 days. Nematode development progressed equally in the root system of either host plant. Generally, throughout the nematode''s life cycle its entire body remained inside the cortical tissue of okra. In ridgeseed spurge, however, the posterior portion of the female erupted through the host epidermis as early as 15 days after plant emergence; only the head and neck remained embedded in the host. The nematode caused extensive tissue disruption in the cortical and vascular system of both plant species. Corn, Zea mays, was another host of the nematode.  相似文献

5-Hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF) is a versatile platform chemical for a fossil free, bio-based chemical industry. HMF can be produced by using fructose as a feedstock. Using edible, first-generation biomass to produce chemicals has been questioned in terms of potential competition with food supply. Second-generation biomass like miscanthus could be an alternative. However, there is a lack of information if second-generation lignocellulosic biomass is a more sustainable feedstock to produce HMF. Therefore, a life cycle assessment was performed in this study to determine the environmental impacts of HMF production from miscanthus and to compare it with HMF from high-fructose corn syrup (HFCS). HFCS from either Hungary or Baden-Württemberg (Germany) was considered. Compared to the HFCS biorefineries the miscanthus concept is producing less emissions in all impact categories studied, except land occupation. Overall, the production and usage of second-generation biomass could be especially beneficial in areas where the use of N fertilizers is restricted. Besides, conclusions for the further development of the on-farm biorefinery concept were elaborated. For this purpose, process simulations from a previous study were used. Results of the previous study in terms of TEA and the current LCA study in terms of environmental sustainability indicate that the lignin depolymerization unit in the miscanthus biorefinery has to be improved. The scenario without lignin depolymerization performs better in all impact categories. The authors recommend to not further convert the lignin to products like phenol and other aromatic compounds. The results of the contribution analyses show that the major impact in the HMF production is caused by the auxiliary materials in the separation units and the required heat. Further technical development should focus on efficient heat as well as solvent use and solvent recovery. At this point further optimizations will lead to reduced emissions and costs at the same time.  相似文献

土壤水分研究是统筹农业生产和生态环境建设的关键环节.本研究结合4年田间定位试验,通过对黄土高原南部长武旱塬冬小麦和春玉米2012—2015年土壤水分状况的研究,分析农田土壤干层形成情况、土壤水分对作物生长的影响、降水对土壤水库的影响以及作物对土壤水分状况的影响.结果表明: 降水年型是冬小麦地土壤干层形成的主导因素,年内降水分布不均是春玉米地土壤干层形成的主导因素.长武旱塬区冬小麦和春玉米一年一季的种植制度不会导致永久性干层的产生;相较于春玉米,冬小麦根系生长习性更符合黄土旱塬区土壤水分循环特征,黄土旱塬区土壤水分有效性可保证作物产量稳定;降水作用下,冬小麦土壤水库充、放水过程呈现收获期、休闲期和苗期连续充水、缓慢消耗期和大量消耗期连续失水相互交替的特点.0~300和300~600 cm土层土壤水库不一致性现象明显,以最大根深作为野外监测试验中土壤含水量的取样深度时,由于深层土壤水库负反馈作用,不同降水年型下,休闲期和苗期的蒸散均会被高估,缓慢消耗期和大量消耗期的蒸散均会被低估.冬小麦田间过渡层存在的范围为140~360 cm;作物生长的时间跨度影响土壤水库效应的发挥,土壤水库对冬小麦供水表现为年际间的调节作用,土壤水库对春玉米供水表现为季节间的调节作用.  相似文献

The vertical distribution of Pratylenchus scribneri populations was monitored under irrigated corn and potato grown in loamy sand soil. population estimates were based on the number of nematodes recovered from 100-cm³ soil samples and the roots contained therein. Reproduction was assessed by counting the number of second-stage juveniles. An index of population maturity was computed to evaluate the age structure of populations. At no time were nematodes distributed uniformly among five soil depths from 0 to 37.5 cm deep. During the summer (June-September), changes in the total number of P. scribneri and the number of second-stage juveniles recovered were not consistent among the depths sampled. Early (April-June) and late (September-November) in the season, changes in the abundance, reproduction, and maturity of populations were similar among depths. The timing and pattern of increases in numbers of nematodes suggests that variation in the abundance of P. scribneri in the soil profile beneath potato and corn was caused primarily by reproduction rather than the movement of nematodes.  相似文献

研究证明,菠萝欧文氏菌(Erwinia ananas)为我国北方玉米上优势冰核细菌种类,占总体INA细菌95 %以上。采用定量定性和定期取样分离方法,首次研究INA细菌在玉米上的消长动态规律。结果表明:玉米不同生长发育阶段是影响INA细菌在玉米上数量分布和消长动态变化的重要因素,以抽雄至成熟期间分布INA细菌数量最多,高达10 7~10 8CFU/ g,比拔节至抽雄期高出2~3个数量级,比苗期至拔节期高出4~5个数量级;同时还指出,玉米不同播期,对INA细菌数量分布影响显著,差异很大,其中INA细菌分布数量消长变化,以正常播种(1.9×10 7CFU / g) >中期播种(7.9×10 5CFU/ g) >晚期播种(5 .0×10 4 CFU/ g) ;研究指出,处于抽雄至成熟期间的玉米上分布的INA细菌数量最多,因此期间(8月上旬至9月下旬) ,气温逐渐降低,昼夜温差大,田间结露多,加上玉米处于成熟阶段,抗INA细菌能力弱,这些因素有利于低温(5~2 0℃范围内生长)型INA细菌生长繁殖,故使INA细菌分布数量最多  相似文献

TrilineeIlus clathrocutis n.g., n.sp. is described and illustrated. It was found as an associate of corn (Zea mays) in Stockton, Georgia, USA, and is related to a group of Tylenchorhynchus sensu lato species having three lines in nonareolated lateral fields. This new species is closely related to Tylenehorhynehus divittatus Siddiqi 1961, T. sculptus Seinhorst 1963, and T. triglyphus Seinhorst 1963 (syn. T. chonai Sethi & Swarup 1968) Tarjan 1973. It differs from these species primarily by having longitudinal striae on the body. These four species are differentiated from Tylenchorhynchus sensu stricto by having three lateral lines instead of four. They differ from Uliginotylenchus Siddiqi 1971 by having nonareolated lateral fields, fewer than 25 annules on conoid rounded tails, differently shaped gubernacula, nonattenuated stylets, and other distinctive characters. They differ from Triversus Sher 1973 by having the male tail enclosed by the bursa and by having rounded female tails. SEM observations of T. clathrocutis reveal a cuticle deeply cut by longitudinal and horizontal striae and bearing wide (> 2.0 μm) annules. Trilineellus is proposed to accommodate the new species and the three-incisured species still within Tylenchorhynchus. Tylenchorhynchus is thereby the repository for species within Tylenchorhynchinae having four lines in the lateral field, no conspicuous labial disc, and bursa enclosing the male tail.  相似文献

木质纤维素高浓度还原糖水解液的获得是纤维乙醇产业化发展的方向。在发酵工业领域,分批补料法是实现这一目标的重要研究途径。本研究采用分批补料法对获得高浓度玉米秸秆酶解还原糖的条件进行了优化。以稀硫酸预处理的玉米秸秆为原料,考察了液固比、补加量与补加时间对分批补料糖化的影响。结果表明,秸秆高浓度酶解液条件的初始物料为20% (重量/体积),木聚糖酶220 U/g (底物),纤维素酶6 FPU/g (底物),果胶酶50 U/g (底物),在24 h、48 h后分批补加8%预处理后的物料,同时添加与补料量相应的木聚糖酶20 U/g (底物),纤维素酶2 FPU/g (底物),72 h后,最终糖化结果与非补料法相比,还原糖浓度从48.5 g/L提高到138.5 g/L,原料的酶解率最终达到理论值的62.5%。试验结果表明补料法可以显著提高秸秆水解液还原糖浓度。  相似文献

Summary Southern Corn Leaf Blight is caused by a toxin produced by a virulent form ofHelminthosporium maydis (Race T). The toxin has been shown to uncouple oxidative phosphorylation and dissipate Ca2+ gradients in mitochondria isolated from susceptible, but not resistant, corn. The possibility that the toxin acted by increasing the permeability of membranes to ions was tested using a planar bilayer membrane system. Addition of the toxin to the bilayer system, under voltage-clamp conditions, resulted in stepwise increases in current across the phospholipid bilayer, a response characteristic for channel formers. Single-channel conductance in 1m KCl is 27 pS which corresponds to 1.7×107 ions sec–1 channel–1 at 100 mV applied potential. The toxin channels are: (i) fairly uniform in conductance, (ii) ideally selective for K+ over Cl, and (iii) most conductive to H+. The channel showed the following selectivity for alkali metal cations: Rb+>K+>Cs+>Na+>Li+ (169731) based on the most frequently observed conductance in 1m chloride salts. The toxin showed no voltage dependence over the range of –100 to +100 mV. Channel formation was also a property of a synthetic analog (Cmpd IV) of the toxin. The ability of the native toxin to form channels may be a mode of toxin action on mitochondrial membranes from susceptible corn.  相似文献
