通过2003年1月份对珠江口水体中的光谱分布,衰减系数,光反射率以及浮游植物对光吸收的研究结果显示:红光、蓝光衰减较快,绿光衰减较小,越向水体下层,绿光的相对含量越大,这主要是由于浮游植物在蓝光和红光波段处有吸收峰以及非藻颗粒对蓝紫光吸收较多的缘故;从总体来讲,绿光的辐亮度漫反射率(Lu/Ed)较蓝光和红光大:在上层水体中有一个反射强度较大的区域,可能是由于浮游植物在这一层的分布较多。  相似文献

The addition of methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE) to gasoline has resulted in public uncertainty regarding the continued reliance on biological processes for gasoline remediation. Despite this concern, researchers have shown that MTBE can be effectively degraded in the laboratory under aerobic conditions using pure and mixed cultures with half-lives ranging from 0.04 to 29 days. Ex-situ aerobic fixed-film and aerobic suspended growth bioreactor studies have demonstrated decreases in MTBE concentrations of 83% and 96% with hydraulic residence times of 0.3 hrs and 3 days, respectively. In microcosm and field studies, aerobic biodegradation half-lives range from 2 to 693 days. These half-lives have been shown to decrease with increasing dissolved oxygen concentrations and, in some cases, with the addition of exogenous MTBE-degraders. MTBE concentrations have also been observed to decrease under anaerobic conditions; however, these rates are not as well defined. Several detailed field case studies describing the use of ex-situ reactors, natural attenuation, and bioaugmentation are presented in this paper and demonstrate the potential for successful remediation of MTBE-contaminated aquifers. In conclusion, a substantial amount of literature is available which demonstratesthat the in-situ biodegradation of MTBE is contingent on achieving aerobic conditions in the contaminated aquifer.  相似文献

The underwater light field has been studied in a hypertrophic, gravel-pit lake close to Madrid (Spain) during a one year cycle. Both the inherent and the apparent properties of the underwater light field have been weekly surveyed. As theoretically expected, there is a link between inherent and apparent properties in this lake. Evidence is given suggesting that a seasonal trend in the underwater light field seems to occur. The main factor attenuating light in the vertical column is phytoplankton chlorophyll “a” but humic substances also appear to play an importtant role in light attenuation.  相似文献

The underwater light field is described as a stochastic process, with the vertical attenuation as a random variable. It is shown that the vertical attenuation integral is well described as a Normal process with uncorrelated increments. The attenuation processes within a water body are found to be quite independent of the incoming irradiance. Thus, the relative light intensity at any depth can be approximated by a Lognormal random variable. Based upon the expectation of this Lognormal variable, and the mean value of the incident irradiance, the irradiance delivered at any depth can be estimated, as well as the statistical distribution of the irradiance. Light data from a number of Norwegian soft-water lakes showed good fit to the model. Two productive lakes included in this study also had a light regime well described by the statistical model. However, the model should be extended to cater for seasonal variations in these applications.  相似文献

The primary production of Ulva populations relies on their photosynthetic performance, which is dependent on the light availability under natural conditions. This study concerns the light attenuation characteristics in Ulva canopies and the seasonal photosynthetic performance of two different species (Ulva rotundata Blid., Ulva curvata (Kütz.) De Toni) blooming in the Palmones river estuary. Light within canopies differed from that reaching the surface. Light availability was reduced through the water column (at high tide) and Ulva canopies. In addition, light was spectrally filtered. As a result, the photosynthetically usable radiation (PUR) was further attenuated through Ulva canopies, increasing the photosynthetically active radiation/PUR ratio. The muddy sediment deposited on and between the Ulva thalli also drastically restricted the light availability. Thick Ulva mats are frequently found covering the intertidal mudflats, and therefore, thalli within these mats may be subjected to steep light gradients. As a consequence, individual Ulva growth rates cannot be extrapolated to estimate the primary production of Ulva canopies. Interspecific differences were observed for light-saturated photosynthetic rates (Pmax) and light compensation points (LCP), with Ulva curvata generally displaying higher values than did U. rotundata. For both species, maxima were recorded in winter for Pmax, quantum yield, chlorophyll content, and absorptance, whereas minima were found in summer. Dark respiration (Rd) was not seasonally affected, and a maximum LCP was found in summer. To extrapolate these data to field situations, the temperature dependence of photosynthesis should be considered. The Q10 values were 2.44 for Rd and 1.79 for Pmax, whereas the photosynthesis rate at subsaturating light levels was unaffected. The Q10 values showed an enhanced respiratory rate in summer and a minimum in winter, whereas the seasonal differences on Pmax were damped.  相似文献

目的:旨在探索Ⅰ型日本乙型脑炎病毒传代致弱后基因组突变NS2A-C60A对乙脑病毒生物学特性的影响。方法:首先通过对传代致弱及原始乙脑毒株基因组序列进行测序比对、结构预测分析并利用Western blotting(WB)确定了目标研究位点NS2A-C60A;然后使用反向遗传定点突变技术构建拯救了包含NS2A-C60A单点突变的病毒株;最后利用噬斑形态观察、生长曲线、双萤光素酶分析,WB以及炎性因子检测和动物实验研究了该单点突变对于乙脑病毒生物学特性的影响。结果:首次研究发现Ⅰ型乙脑病毒传代致弱会导致NS1'蛋白表达的显著下降以及可能的相关位点NS2A-C60A,并成功拯救获得了NS2A-C60A单点突变毒株rJEV-C60A,研究发现NS2A-C60A突变对乙脑病毒的生长特性及噬斑形成没有显著影响,但是能够显著降低乙脑病毒NS1'蛋白的表达,并且该位点突变能够轻微阻碍乙脑病毒对细胞炎性因子表达的抑制,动物实验结果显示NS2A-C60A点突变病毒与原毒株具有相似的神经毒力,说明该位点突变不是影响乙脑病毒毒力致弱的关键位点。结论:新发现的NS2A-C60A位点突变能够显著减少乙脑病毒NS1'蛋白的表达,但是对其增殖、诱导炎症及神经毒力等生物学特性没有显著影响。  相似文献

The design, construction, testing and use of an underwater relative radiation sensor are described. The sensor incorporates four narrow band interference filters and a broad band (400–700 nm) filter so that variation in spectral quality as well as visible light attenuation can be determined. Comparison with a proprietary, calibrated sensor, a Macam SD 101, indicates the reliability of the relative radiation sensor of the range 1 to >300 Wm–2 P.A.R. and to a depth of at least 20 m. Brief reference is made to selected data from a variety of aquatic habitats. A general table for the comparison of radiation and illumination units is presented.  相似文献

Phytoplankton growth in the shallow, turbid Lake Loosdrecht (The Netherlands) is importantly influenced by light availability, and thus the concentrations of the various light-attenuating materials. The system is highly eutrophic and supports an algal biomass of ca. 160 mg Chl m–3. A model is proposed here which predicts algal growth in the lake as a function of the light received and subsequent attenuation in the water column by phytoplankton, tripton and background colour. The model is based on an energy balance which relates growth rate to the true growth yield on light energy and the energy demand for cell maintenance. The coefficients for energy conversion (Y = 0.002 gDW kJ–1) and cell maintenance (µe = 0.031 day–1) were determined from steady state growth kinetics of Prochlorothrix hollandica in light-limited laboratory flow systems with the same depth as the lake and receiving summer average conditions of irradiance. Light attenuation by phytoplankton and tripton were quantified using specific attenuation coefficients: 0.011 m2 mg–1 Chl for the phytoplankton and 0.23 m2 g–1 DW for tripton.The growth studies demonstrated that Lake Loosdrecht can support a much higher algal biomass in the absence of non-algal particulate matter. The proposed model is used to predict chlorophyll a concentrations in dependence on growth rate and levels of tripton. Since approximately 75% of the sestonic dry weight in Lake Loosdrecht may be attributed to tripton, it is concluded that the algal biomass is markedly lowered by the abundance of tripton in the water column. A knowledge of the sources and fate of tripton in the lake is thus of fundamental importance in modelling phytoplankton dynamics.  相似文献

The use of automatic acoustic recorders is becoming a principal method to survey birds in their natural habitats, as it is relatively noninvasive while still being informative. As with any other sound, birdsong degrades in amplitude, frequency, and temporal structure as it propagates to the recorder through the environment. Knowing how different birdsongs attenuate under different conditions is useful to, for example, develop protocols for deploying acoustic recorders and improve automated detection methods, an essential part of the research field that is becoming known as ecoacoustics. This article presents playback and recapture (record) experiments carried out under different environmental conditions using twenty bird calls from eleven New Zealand bird species in a native forest and an open area, answering five research questions: (1) How does birdsong attenuation differ between forest and open space? (2) What is the relationship between transmission height and birdsong attenuation? (3) How does frequency of birdsong impact the degradation of sound with distance? (4) Is birdsong attenuation different during the night compared to the day? and (5) what is the impact of wind on attenuation? Bird calls are complex sounds; therefore, we have chosen to use them rather than simple tones to ensure that this complexity is not missed in the analysis. The results demonstrate that birdsong transmission was significantly better in the forest than in the open site. During the night, the attenuation was at a minimum in both experimental sites. Transmission height affected the propagation of the songs of many species, particularly the flightless ones. The effect of wind was severe in the open site and attenuated lower frequencies. The reverberations due to reflective surfaces masked higher frequencies (8 kHz) in the forest even at moderate distances. The findings presented here can be applied to develop protocols for passive acoustic monitoring. Even though the attenuation can be generalized to frequency bands, the structure of the birdsong is also important. Selecting a reasonable sampling frequency avoids unnecessary data accumulation because higher frequencies attenuate more in the forest. Even at moderate distances, recorders capture significantly attenuated birdsong, and hence, automated analysis methods for field recordings need to be able to detect and recognize faint birdsong.  相似文献
