A novel monoterpene alkaloid, named incarvine G, was isolated from the Incarvillea sinensis Lam. Its chemical structure was elucidated using comprehensive spectroscopic methods. Incarvine G is an ester compound comprised of a monoterpene alkaloid and glucose. This compound showed evident inhibition on cell migration, invasion, and cytoskeleton formation of human MDA-MB-231 with low cytotoxicity.  相似文献

It has been reported that nitrate availability was able to modify the detrimental effects induced by excess ultraviolet-B (UV-B) radiation on plants. In this study, the medical plant Catharanthus roseus was subjected to UV-B stress and altered levels of nitrate nutrition to investigate their influence in a sole or combined way on growth and alkaloid productions. Our results showed that the UV-B stress obviously inhibited growth and led to damages of oxidative stress and lipid peroxidation. The simultaneous supply of higher nitrate nutrition could largely alleviate the inhibitory effects and damage symptom under the UV-B stress in C. roseus. Meanwhile, the UV-B-absorbing compounds as well as three alkaloids, vinblastine, vindoline, and catharanthine, were observed to have a remarkable elevation. These compounds were considered to serve as protectants of UV-B radiation. It was concluded that an increased nitrogen (N) supply could not only alleviate the inhibitory effect of UV-B stress on plant growth, but also enhance the accumulation of pharmaceutically used alkaloid in these plants. We proposed that the enrichment of N nutrition might provide more N source for alkaloid synthesis induced by UV-B radiation, eventually resulting in an increase of alkaloids accumulation.  相似文献

A new indolosesquiterpene alkaloid, polyavolinamide, has been identified in the stem of Polyathia suaveolens accompanied by the three previously isolated indolosesquiterpene alkaloids, polyavolensin, polyavolensinol, polyavolensinone, as well as an unidentified triterpene and an aporhine alkaloids. Polyavolinamide was also the major component of the root bark. Its structure was assigned on the basis of 11H and 13C NMR, and mass spectrometry.  相似文献

In the biosynthesis of the benzazepine alkaloid alpinigenine a N-methylation step followed by hydroxylation α to nitrogen has now been shown more conclusively to be involved in the transformation of a N-heterocyclic ring system. After feeding Papaver bracteatum plants both the precursors (±)-tetrahydropalmatine-[8,13,14-3H] and (±)-tetrahydropalmatine methiodide-[8,13,14-3H;8-4C] an identical mode of abstraction of tritium was observed including a complete loss of the isotope from C-14. The next member in the biogenetic chain, muramine-[8-14C], was incorporated into alpinigenine very efficiently. Furthermore, using structurally different precursors not utilized for normal alkaloid formation, e.g. 2′-hydroxymethyl-laudanosine-[14CH2OH], 13-hydroxymuramine-[8-14C], the specificity of alkaloid metabolism was examined in the whole plant. Tracer dilution technique was applied to confirm the occurrence in the plant of three established intermediates. Chemical syntheses of four of the alkaloids used during these investigations were developed.  相似文献

Shifting from a livestock-based protein diet to a plant-based protein diet has been proposed as an essential requirement to maintain global food sustainability, which requires the increased production of protein-rich crops for direct human consumption. Meanwhile, the lack of sufficient genetic diversity in crop varieties is an increasing concern for sustainable food supplies. Countering this concern requires a clear understanding of the domestication process and dynamics. Narrow-leafed lupin (Lupinus angustifolius L.) has experienced rapid domestication and has become a new legume crop over the past century, with the potential to provide protein-rich seeds. Here, using long-read whole-genome sequencing, we assembled the third-generation reference genome for the narrow-leafed lupin cultivar Tanjil, comprising 20 chromosomes with a total genome size of 615.8 Mb and contig N50 = 5.65 Mb. We characterized the original mutation and putative biological pathway resulting in low seed alkaloid level that initiated the recent domestication of narrow-leafed lupin. We identified a 1133-bp insertion in the cis-regulatory region of a putative gene that may be associated with reduced pod shattering (lentus). A comparative analysis of genomic diversity in cultivars and wild types identified an apparent domestication bottleneck, as precisely predicted by the original model of the bottleneck effect on genetic variability in populations. Our results identify the key domestication genetic loci and provide direct genomic evidence for a domestication bottleneck, and open up the possibility of knowledge-driven de novo domestication of wild plants as an avenue to broaden crop plant diversity to enhance food security and sustainable low-carbon emission agriculture.  相似文献
