福建武夷山甜槠群落能量的研究   总被引:43,自引:0,他引:43  
在生物量、生产力研究基础上,对武夷山甜槠(Castanopsis eyrei(Cham p.ex Benth.) Tutch.)群落各组分的热值、群落能量现存量、能量年净固定量以及太阳能转化效率进行了研究。结果表明:(1)甜槠群落各组分样品的干重热值具有一定的差异,树皮热值最高,细根热值最低。(2)甜槠群落的能量现存量达780584.1 kJ·m - 2,其中地上部分为678913.8 kJ·m - 2,占总量的86.98% ;地下部分为101670.3 kJ·m - 2,占13.02% 。(3)甜槠群落的能量年净固定量(1992年)为26856.2 kJ·m - 2·a- 1,林地太阳光合有效辐射能的转化效率为1.296% 。  相似文献

Abstract: The bacterial community response to pH was studied for 16 soils with pH(H2O) ranging between 4 and 8 by measuring thymidine incorporation into bacteria extracted from the soil into a solution using homogenization-centrifugation. The pH of the bacterial solution was altered to six different values with dilute sulfuric acid or different buffers before measuring incorporation. The resulting pH response curve for thymidine incorporation was used to compare bacterial communities from the different soils. There was a correlation between optimum pH for thymidine incorporation and the soil pH(H2O). Even bacterial communities from acid soils had optima corresponding to the soil pH, indicating that they were adapted to these conditions. Thymidine incorporation was also compared with leucine incorporation for some soils. The leucine to thymidine incorporation ratio was constant over the tested pH interval when incorporation values were adjusted for isotope dilution. A good correlation was found between the scores along the first component (explaining 80% of the variation) and soil pH ( r 2 = 0.85), if principal component analysis of the pH response curves for thymidine incorporation was used. The pH response curves differed most for the extreme pH values used, and a linear relationship was found between the logarithm of the ratio of thymidine incorporation at pH 4.3 to incorporation at pH 8.2 and the soil pH ( r 2 = 0.86). Thus, a simplified technique using only two pH values, when measuring the thymidine incorporation, could be used to compare the response to pH of bacterial communities.  相似文献

Sedimentation rates were estimated in a Central Amazonian Black-water inundation forest. Sediment deposition on the forest ground, remote from the river bed, during an annual flood period, is of the order of 1 to 10 tons per hectare, depending on water depth and duration of flooding. The sediments consisted of fine organic matter, kaolinite, quartz sands and biogenic particles of silica. Their genesis and deposition depend on the interplay between pedogenic, limnological and biological processes. Sediments derive primarily from the materials leached from the soils. Clay soils are the main source of dissolved silica, and the sandy soils are the main sources of organic coumpounds and mineral particles. The physical sedimentation of particles as quartz sand grains only occurs in the upper reaches of the studied river. In the flood plain, the sedimentation is due to the coagulation and deposition of combined mineral particles and humic substances, and to the biological precipitation of the silica leached from the soil by sponges.  相似文献

We demonstrate, using a simple field experiment, that soil warming is sufficient, independent of other cues, to potentially alter the recruitment of Betula pendula seedlings. This study suggests that changing temperature, and correlated changes in edaphic factors, can alter patterns in plant recruitment via differential effects on seed dormancy. Increased soil temperatures (of less than 5 °C) throughout the year led to a significant increase in the number of birch seedlings that emerged from soil samples collected in the spring. No concomitant changes in the emergence of other species was observed. Such temperature induced changes in seedbank dynamics and their subsequent effects on the competitive interactions within a plant community suggest far reaching ecological consequences of current increases in global temperature.  相似文献

The roles of photorespiration and the Mehlerperoxidase pathway in sustaining electron transport and protection from photoinhibition were studied in outer canopy leaves of two species of tropical trees: the drought-deciduous Pseudobombax septenatum (Jacq.) Dug. and the evergreen Ficus insipida Willd. Ficus had a higher photosynthetic capacity than Pseudobombax and also a greater capacity for light-dependent electron transport under photorespiratory conditions (in the absence of CO2). As a consequence, in the absence of CO2, Ficus was able to maintain a largely oxidized electron-transport chain at higher photon flux densities than Pseudobombax. Under the same light conditions, photoinhibition (reduction in Fv/Fm) was always greater in Pseudobombax than Ficus, was increased when leaves were exposed to 2% O2 in nitrogen compared to 21% O2 in CO2-free air, but was not increased by the absence of CO2. Rates of electron transport due to the Mehler-peroxidase pathway (assessed in 2% O2 in nitrogen) ranged between 16–40 mol · m–2·s–1 in both species. As the dry season approached and Pseudobombax neared leaf senescence there was a decline in the capacity for photorespiratory flux to maintain electron transport in Pseudobombax, but not in Ficus. Ratios of light-dependent electron transport to net CO2 fixation for Pseudobombax, Ficus and two other species in the field, Luehea seemannii Tr. & Planch, and Didymopanax morototoni (Aubl.) Dec. & Planch., ranged from 6.2 (Ficus) to 16.7 (Pseudobombax). High in-situ rates of photorespiration combined with the decreased capacity of Pseudobombax for photorespiratory flux as the dry season approached indicates a decreased capacity to protect against photooxidative damage. The presence of species and their cover values together with soil and topographic characteristics were recorded at 40 sites along an altitudinal gradient of the Puna Belt at Pozuelos, in the High Andes in northwest Argentina. Classification and ordination of plant assemblages showed that soil and topography were the best predictors of the variation in species distribution. The different plant assemblages which occur along the topographic gradient follow the geographic variation in rainfall in this Andean region. Perennial bushes and grasses colonize the plains and slopes with fine textured soils which retain their water content. In contrast, deciduous bushes and cactuses grow on steep, rocky, dry slopes. Open woods also occur on east-facing steep, rocky slopes which are sheltered from winds.  相似文献

The effects of rising atmospheric CO2 concentrations on natural plant communities will depend upon the cumulative responses of plant growth and reproduction to gradual, incremental changes in climatic conditions. We analysed published studies of plant responses to elevated CO2 to address whether reproductive and total biomass exhibit similar enhancement to elevated vs. ambient CO2 concentrations, and to assess the patterns of plant response along gradients of CO2 concentrations. In six annual plant species, mean enhancement at double ambient vs. ambient CO2 was 1.13 for total biomass and 1.30 for reproductive biomass. The two measures were significantly correlated, but there was considerable scatter in the relationship, indicating that reproductive responses cannot be consistently predicted from enhancement of total biomass. Along experimental CO2 gradients utilizing three concentrations, there was a great diversity of response patterns, including positive, negative, non-monotonic and non-significant (flat) responses. The distribution of response patterns differed for plants grown in stands compared to those grown individually. Positive responses were less frequent in competitive environments, and non-monotonic responses were more frequent. These results emphasize that interpolation of plant response based on enhancement ratios measured at elevated vs. ambient CO2 concentrations is not sufficient to predict community responses to incremental changes in atmospheric conditions. The consequences of differential response patterns were assessed in a simulation of community dynamics for four species of annual plants. The model illustrates that the final community composition at a future point in time depends critically on both the magnitude and the rate of increase of atmospheric CO2.  相似文献

Abstract Communities of forest and woodland birds are usually studied intensively at only one or a few locations. This provides a perspective that perhaps emphasizes local phenomena at the expense of placing local dynamics in the context of processes operating at the landscape or regional scale. The present paper seeks to redress partially this imbalance by studying the dynamics of individual bird species among several habitat types (all Eucalyptus-dominated forests or woodlands) over the annual cycle. This regional-scale (250km), continental study reveals that species exhibit idiosyncratic dynamics of various kinds: restricted or more ubiquitous occupation of habitats and three forms of seasonal dynamics at the regional scale (resident, migrant and itinerant). By using this classificatory scheme, it becomes evident that the bird communities found in different habitats consist of diverse collections of strategists and that the level of diversity differs among habitat types. The difficulties that many field workers have had in reconciling their observations with community theory most likely reflect the underlying dynamism of bird communities, especially in the temperate regions on continents where seasonal fluxes are pronounced.  相似文献

Nocturnal flying insects were collected monthly for 13 months using ultra violet light-traps set at various vertical levels in a weakly-seasonal, tropical lowland dipterocarp forest in Sarawak, Malaysia. Abundance, faunal composition, size distribution and guild structure of these samples were analyzed with respect to temperal and vertical distributions. The nocturnal flying insect community in the canopy level was highly dominated by fig wasps (84%) in individual number, and by scarabaeid beetles (28%) in weight. A principal component analysis on monthly catches detected non-random, seasonal trends of insect abundance. The first two principal trends were an alternation of wetter (September to January) and less wet seasons (February to August) and an alternation between the least wet (January to March) and the other seasons. Many insect groups were less abundant in the least wet season than the other seasons, whilst inverse patterns were found in Scarabaeidae and Tenebrionidae. Significantly positive and negative correlations between monthly catch and rainfall were detected only in ovule-feeders and in phloem-feeders, respectively. Delayed, significant negative correlations between monthly catch and 1–3 month preceding rainfall were more frequently detected in phytophages, phloem-feeders, seed-feeders, wood-borers and scavengers. The peak in abundance along vertical levels were found at the canopy level (35 m) for phloem-, ovule-, seed-, root-, fungal-feeders and nectar collectors, at an upper subcanopy level (25 m) for scavengers and aquatic predators, and at a middle subcanopy level (17 m) for ants. Catches at the emergent level (45 m) did not exceed those at the canopy level.  相似文献
