2007年11月、12月和2008年3月,在内蒙古达赉湖地区,采用扫描取样法对雌雄蒙原羚繁殖期及其前后昼间行为时间分配进行了研究。 研究表明:(1)繁殖期前、繁殖期和繁殖期后,雌性蒙原羚采食时间,占昼间活动时间的比例分别为(44.9±3.8)%、(43.5±4.0)% 和 (46.2±3.1)%;卧息时间,占昼间活动时间的比例分别 为(32.3±4.8)%、(29.2±2.9)% 和 (28.0±4.8)%;雌性蒙原羚在繁殖期及其前后采食、移动和卧息的行为时间分配差异不显著(P>0.05),站立、繁殖、“其他”行为时间分配差异性显著(P<0.05)。(2)繁殖期前、繁殖期和繁殖期后, 雄性蒙原羚采食时间,占昼间活动时间的比例分别为 (52.6±3.8)%、(17.5±2.8)% 和 (29.8±4.8)%;卧息时间,占昼间活动时间的比例分别为 (13.4±6.4)%、(24.2±4.1)% 和 (44.2±4.7)%。雄性蒙原羚在繁殖期及其前后采食、卧息、站立、移动、繁殖、“其他”时间分配均有显著差异(P<0.05)。动物采食卧息的行为时间分配反映动物的能量平衡策略。雌性蒙原羚的时间分配表明,雌性蒙原羚的能量平衡策略在繁殖期前、繁殖期和繁殖期后没有发生显著变化,均为能量摄入最优化策略,尽可能多的时间分配在采食上;雄性蒙原羚的时间分配表明,在繁殖期前,其能量平衡策略为能量摄入最优化策略,尽可能多的时间分配在采食上;雄性蒙原羚繁殖期及繁殖期后其能量平衡策略转变为能量支出优化策略,尽可能少的支出能量,尽可能多的时间分配在卧息上。  相似文献

Watershed nitrogen input and riverine export on the west coast of the US   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
This study evaluated the sources, sinks, and factors controlling net export of nitrogen (N) from watersheds on the west coast of the US. We calculated input of new N to 22 watersheds for 1992 and 2002. 1992 inputs ranged from 541 to 11,644 kg N km−2 year−1, with an overall area-weighted average of 1,870 kg N km−2 year−1. In 2002, the range of inputs was 490–10,875 kg N km−2 year−1, averaging 2,158 kg N km−2 year−1. Fertilizer was the most important source of new N, averaging 956 (1992) and 1,073 kg N km−2 year−1 (2002). Atmospheric deposition was the next most important input, averaging 833 (1992) and 717 kg N km−2 year−1 (2002), followed by biological N fixation in agricultural lands. Riverine N export, calculated based on measurements taken at the furthest downstream USGS water quality monitoring station, averaged 165 (1992) and 196 kg N km−2 year−1 (2002), although data were available for only 7 watersheds at the latter time point. Downstream riverine N export was correlated with variations in streamflow (export = 0.94 × streamflow − 5.65, R 2 = 0.66), with N inputs explaining an additional 16% of the variance (export = 1.06 × streamflow + 0.06 × input − 227.78, R 2 = 0.82). The percentage of N input that is exported averaged 12%. Percent export was also related to streamflow (%export = 0.05 × streamflow − 2.61, R 2 = 0.60). The correlations with streamflow are likely a result of its large dynamic range in these systems. However, the processes that control watershed N export are not yet completely understood.  相似文献

In gregarious ruminants, females and males tend to live in separate groups outside the rutting season. According to the 'activity budget' hypothesis, this is due to an activity asynchrony between the two sexes reducing the lifetime of mixed-sex groups. We tested this hypothesis in a fallow deer population. Activity asynchrony was more frequent in mixed-sex than in single-sex groups. In addition, mixed-sex groups had a higher probability of splitting-up than all-female groups, and they mainly split up into single-sex groups. However, activity asynchrony did not appear as a major cause of splitting-up.  相似文献

Soil erosion redistributes soil organic carbon (SOC) within terrestrial ecosystems, to the atmosphere and oceans. Dust export is an essential component of the carbon (C) and carbon dioxide (CO2) budget because wind erosion contributes to the C cycle by removing selectively SOC from vast areas and transporting C dust quickly offshore; augmenting the net loss of C from terrestrial systems. However, the contribution of wind erosion to rates of C release and sequestration is poorly understood. Here, we describe how SOC dust emission is omitted from national C accounting, is an underestimated source of CO2 and may accelerate SOC decomposition. Similarly, long dust residence times in the unshielded atmospheric environment may considerably increase CO2 emission. We developed a first approximation to SOC enrichment for a well‐established dust emission model and quantified SOC dust emission for Australia (5.83 Tg CO2‐e yr?1) and Australian agricultural soils (0.4 Tg CO2‐e yr?1). These amount to underestimates for CO2 emissions of ≈10% from combined C pools in Australia (year = 2000), ≈5% from Australian Rangelands and ≈3% of Australian Agricultural Soils by Kyoto Accounting. Northern hemisphere countries with greater dust emission than Australia are also likely to have much larger SOC dust emission. Therefore, omission of SOC dust emission likely represents a considerable underestimate from those nations’ C accounts. We suggest that the omission of SOC dust emission from C cycling and C accounting is a significant global source of uncertainty. Tracing the fate of wind‐eroded SOC in the dust cycle is therefore essential to quantify the release of CO2 from SOC dust to the atmosphere and the contribution of SOC deposition to downwind C sinks.  相似文献

为了从笼养食蟹猴行为时间分配的研究中分析影响行为时间分配的因素并为抑郁模型行为评价选择最佳的时间窗,2011年1月~6月,采用动物焦点观察法对江苏省苏州中科实验动物有限公司的40只笼养食蟹猴的昼间活动规律进行昼间7个时段行为观察.研究发现,笼养食蟹猴昼间7个时段行为时间分配表现为休息最多(68.58%),其次是进食(10.14%)、社会交流(9.92%)、运动(5.57%);争斗和交配较少;社会交流行为持续时间在上午时段( 10:30~11:30)明显高于下午时段(14:30 ~ 16:30)(Z=-4.72,P<0.01);幼崽对母亲猴的行为影响明显,有幼崽组较无幼崽组具有更高的社会行为(Z=-2.86,P<0.01)和运动行为(Z=-6.57,P<0.01);运动行为与年龄呈负相关(rs=-0.357).研究表明幼崽和年龄因素影响食蟹猴7个时段行为时间分配,抑郁模型行为评价宜选择上午时段(10:30 ~11:30).  相似文献

ABSTRACT.   Measuring body movements using accelerometry data loggers is a relatively new technique, the full applicability of which has yet to be tested on volant birds. Our study illustrates the potential of accelerometry for research on large birds by using the technique to record the behavior of three species of raptors, mainly during flight. A tri-axial accelerometer was deployed on a trained Harris' Hawk ( Parabuteo unicinctus ), Tawny Eagle ( Aquila rapax ), and Griffon Vulture ( Gyps fulvus ). Comparison of flight-related variables calculated from video footage and that estimated from the acceleration data showed that the latter provided considerable and accurate information (usually <10% error) about the behavior of the birds, including wing-beat frequency and when they glided and flapped. Acceleration data permitted tentative comparisons of relative movement-specific rates of energy expenditure for the Griffon Vulture flying up versus flying down a small hill. The accelerometry data appeared to suggest, as expected, that the Griffon Vulture expended more energy flying uphill than flying back down. Our preliminary findings indicate that studies using accelerometers can likely provide information about the detailed time–energy budgets of large birds. Such information would aid in comparative analyses of behavior and energetics, and may also enhance efforts to conserve declining bird populations.  相似文献

Overbank sedimentation on river floodplains can result in significant reduction of the suspended sediment load transported by a river and can thus represent an important component of the catchment sediment budget. Such conveyance losses will also exert an important influence on sediment-associated contaminant fluxes and budgets. This contribution reports the results of a study of sediment-associated contaminants (i.e. total-P, Cr, Cu, Pb and Zn) fluxes in the River Swale (1346 km2) and River Aire (1002 km2) in Yorkshire, U.K., aimed at quantifying the role of overbank floodplain sedimentation in the sediment-associated contaminant budgets. The catchment of the River Aire is dominated by urban and industrial land use in its middle and lower reaches, whereas the River Swale drains a largely rural catchment, although there is a legacy of metal mining in its headwaters which impacts on heavy metal transport by the river. The results for the River Swale indicate that the conveyance losses associated with the deposition of sediment-associated contaminants on the floodplains bordering the main river can be as high as 47% of the total flux through the main channel system. Equivalent values for the River Aire range up to 26%. Contrasts between the two rivers reflect both the location of the contaminant sources within the catchments and the relative magnitude of the fine sediment deposition fluxes associated with their floodplains.  相似文献
