浙江安吉志留纪真盔甲鱼类一新属   总被引:2,自引:2,他引:0  
记述了浙江安吉地区志留纪真盔甲鱼类一新属——安吉鱼(新属)(Anjiaspis gen.nov.)。新属的主要特征是:中背孔呈纵长的滴水形,前端稍尖,距离头甲吻缘较远,后端圆钝,明显位于两眶孔前缘连线之前;眶孔较小,位置十分靠近头甲中线,并距离头甲后缘较近,眶孔前区长于眶孔后区;松果孔大致位于两眶孔中心连线上;感觉管系统大致呈格栅状分布,可见4条纵行干管及联络它们的横行管,横行管由侧横管和中横联络管组成,其数目均比较多;鳃囊6对,纹饰为均匀分布的细小粒状瘤点。在此基础上运用分支系统学的方法对其系统位置进行了探讨,结果表明,新属代表了真盔甲鱼类的最原始类型。  相似文献

滇东曲靖地区晚志留世四射珊瑚动物群   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
对滇东曲靖地区晚志留世(Ludlow晚期一Prodoli早期)四射珊瑚群详细研究并对某些珊瑚属种作了修订。文中特别对关底组和妙高组的珊瑚群特征及其分布加以论述。滇东曲靖地区晚志留世四射珊瑚共有22属,44种(包括关底组、妙高组与玉龙寺组产的珊瑚)。其中泡沫珊瑚类Holmophyllum,Cystiphyllum和Ketophyllum占优势,其次是柱珊瑚类Kyphophyllum,Micula和Pilophyllum等属,而扭心珊瑚类代表很少,仅有Brachyelasma,Rukhinia和Phaulactis属首次发现在滇东晚志留世地层中。滇东曲靖地区晚志留世四射珊瑚群与西秦岭同期四射珊瑚有密切联系,同时,与乌拉尔(Ural)同期珊瑚群也有些相似。文中共描述四射珊瑚17属,23种,其中3新种,即Cystiphyllum minutum sp.nov.,Ketophyllum qujingense sp.nov.,Phaulactis vesicularis sp.nov.。  相似文献

Studies of ecosystem level changes in the geological record have found that the major extinction events eliminated many incumbent clades that had been ecologically dominant for long intervals. Surviving clades that had not been able to compete with the extinct incumbents were then able to evolve adaptations that allowed them to move into the niches vacated by the incumbents. Underlying this pattern is the inability of clades that do not occupy a particular niche to evolve adaptations that would permit them to compete with incumbent clades that are already successfully occupying that niche. The zoogeographic distributions of brachiopods in the Late Ordovician of Laurentia may also have been maintained by incumbency, which was disrupted by the end-Ordovician extinction event. Following the extinction event, an Early Silurian zoogeographic reorganization occurred, during which surviving clades evolved into the vacated epeiric sea niches in the Early Silurian. Just as incumbency plays a role in long-term evolutionary patterns, zoogeographic realms and provinces are also partially maintained by incumbency.  相似文献

Abstract:  Isolated material of 21 graptolite species from the upper Telychian of Latvia and Estonia is described. New thecal structures are recognized in Streptograptus , for example enrolment of the disto-lateral margin of the flange in distal S. nodifer thecae, possession of proximal lobes in S. wimani and elongated proximal lobes in S. sp. 3. S. spp. 1 and 2 both possess a nozzle, but do not have coiled metathecae. Thecal asymmetry in Oktavites falx is shown to be the reverse of that in O. spiralis . Several new Streptograptus and Monoclimacis species remain to be described. The absence of many of the taxa described herein from Silurian equatorial regions strengthens the case for a distinct equatorial graptolite province.  相似文献

The Ordovician-Silurian boundary: new data, new concerns   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
Despite International Union of the Geological Sciences (IUGS) ratification of the International Commission on Stratigraphy recommendation that the base of the Parakidograptus acuminatus zone be the base of the Silurian and that the boundary stratotype be at Dob's Linn, Scotland, numerous concerns continue to be expressed over the timing of the selection as well as the boundary and its stratotype. The richness of both graptolite and non-graptolite biostratigraphic data in numerous stratigraphic sections from many areas in China published at about the same time that the boundary and stratotype were approved formally and shortly after approval suggest the possibility that boundary designation may have been somewhat premature. The new data from China document clearly the major extinction of characteristic Late Ordovician taxa significantly below the presently accepted System boundary. The new data indicate that the re-radiation of graptolites after the extinction took place in the Glyptograptus persculptus zone, the graptolite zone subjacent to the P. acuminatus zone. New geochemical data from Dob's Linn reveal a change in chemistry in strata subjacent to the base of the G. persculptus zone that could be used as an aid in correlation. The new data suggest the possibility that the base of the G. persculptus zone, the relatively traditional base of the Silurian, could be as appropriate a System boundary as the base of the P. acuminatus zone.  相似文献

Four stromatoporoid species from a stromatoporoid biostrome in the middle Ludlow Hemse Beds, Gotland, Sweden, show intergrowths with syringoporid tabulate and rugose corals, and indicate close relationships between particular coral and stromatoporoid species. The stromatoporoid Clathrodictyon convictum always contains ?Syringopora and this tabulate is rarely found in the other stromatoporoids. C. convictum is also closely associated with Tryplasma flexuosum (rugosa) while Petrozium pelagicum (rugosa) occurs only in the stromatoporoids Plectostroma intermedium and Parallelostroma typicum. The microstructure of ?Syringopora within the stromatoporoids is composed of an inner lamellar layer and an outer radial layer of calcite crystals. Diagenetic alteration has affected the microstructure which differs from recently described Devonian forms having only a radial layer. This shows variability in the structure of the tabulates within stromatoporoids. Information is sparse on the range of such variation and assessment of the relative importance of taxonomic, palaeoenvironmental and diagenetic effects is not possible in the present sample. No evidence is found to prove the precise nature of the relationships; they were not parasitic but may have been mutually symbiotic, or (most probably) commensal. The results suggest that the corals selected the most suitable stromatoporoid species for their requirements. Stromatoporoid morphology may have had an important influence on the association, where corals are more abundantly associated with those stromatoporoid species which adopted a high profile. Overall the associations appear to have allowed the corals to explore higher energy habitats otherwise unavailable to their delicate branching structure.  相似文献

利用偏光显微镜及扫描电子显微镜观察了假直角石类Eriditesundulatum的体管沉积及气室沉积微细构造特征,体管沉积内部有机质层及矿物晶体层形态及厚度较稳定。气室沉积中有机质层及矿物晶体层形态及厚度变化大,晶体层内部具有柱状晶体。基于内部微细构造特征,推测体管沉积由软体上皮细胞直接分泌而成,气室沉积由体液渗透连接环在气室内表面上形成矿化基质后通过有机质层及矿物晶体层不断加积而成。另外,通过与石炭纪其它假直角石类内部沉积微细构造特征的比较,认为假直角石类内部沉积的微细构造特征不具有分类学意义。  相似文献

A new arthropod with three-dimensionally preserved soft parts, Tanazios dokeron, is described from the Wenlock Series (Silurian) of Herefordshire, England, UK. Serial grinding, digital photographic and computer rendering techniques yielded 'virtual fossils' in the round for study. The body tagmata of T. dokeron comprise a head shield and a long trunk. The head shield bears six pairs of horn-like spines and the head bears five pairs of appendages. The antennule, antenna and mandible are all uniramous, and the mandible includes a gnathobasic coxa. Appendages four and five are biramous and similar to those of the trunk: each comprises a limb base with an endite, an enditic membrane, and two epipodites, plus an endopod and exopod. The hypostome bears a large cone-like projection centrally, and there may be a short labrum. The trunk has some 64 segments and at least 60 appendage pairs. A very small telson has the anus sited ventrally in its posterior part and also bears a caudal furca. Comparative morphological and cladistic analyses of T. dokeron indicate a crustacean affinity, with a probable position in the eucrustacean stem group. As such the epipodites in T. dokeron are the first recorded in a eucrustacean stem taxon. The new species is interpreted as a benthic or nektobenthic scavenger.  相似文献

The Cellon section, located in the Carnic Alps, is a reference section for the Silurian of the world. The conodont association of the section is revised according to the most recent taxonomy and the biostratigraphy updated in the basis of the recently published zonation schemes. Seventy taxa (species and sub‐species) belonging to 23 genera have been identified, allowing the discrimination of 15 biozones from the upper Llandovery to the end of the P?ídolí . However, some of the uppermost Llandovery and Wenlock biozones, corresponding to black shale intervals, have not been documented.  相似文献
