We compared carbon storage and fluxes in young and old ponderosa pine stands in Oregon, including plant and soil storage, net primary productivity, respiration fluxes, eddy flux estimates of net ecosystem exchange (NEE), and Biome‐BGC simulations of fluxes. The young forest (Y site) was previously an old‐growth ponderosa pine forest that had been clearcut in 1978, and the old forest (O site), which has never been logged, consists of two primary age classes (50 and 250 years old). Total ecosystem carbon content (vegetation, detritus and soil) of the O forest was about twice that of the Y site (21 vs. 10 kg C m?2 ground), and significantly more of the total is stored in living vegetation at the O site (61% vs. 15%). Ecosystem respiration (Re) was higher at the O site (1014 vs. 835 g C m?2 year?1), and it was largely from soils at both sites (77% of Re). The biological data show that above‐ground net primary productivity (ANPP), NPP and net ecosystem production (NEP) were greater at the O site than the Y site. Monte Carlo estimates of NEP show that the young site is a source of CO2 to the atmosphere, and is significantly lower than NEP(O) by c. 100 g C m?2 year?1. Eddy covariance measurements also show that the O site was a stronger sink for CO2 than the Y site. Across a 15‐km swath in the region, ANPP ranged from 76 g C m?2 year?1 at the Y site to 236 g C m?2 year?1 (overall mean 158 ± 14 g C m?2 year?1). The lowest ANPP values were for the youngest and oldest stands, but there was a large range of ANPP for mature stands. Carbon, water and nitrogen cycle simulations with the Biome‐BGC model suggest that disturbance type and frequency, time since disturbance, age‐dependent changes in below‐ground allocation, and increasing atmospheric concentration of CO2 all exert significant control on the net ecosystem exchange of carbon at the two sites. Model estimates of major carbon flux components agree with budget‐based observations to within ± 20%, with larger differences for NEP and for several storage terms. Simulations showed the period of regrowth required to replace carbon lost during and after a stand‐replacing fire (O) or a clearcut (Y) to be between 50 and 100 years. In both cases, simulations showed a shift from net carbon source to net sink (on an annual basis) 10–20 years after disturbance. These results suggest that the net ecosystem production of young stands may be low because heterotrophic respiration, particularly from soils, is higher than the NPP of the regrowth. The amount of carbon stored in long‐term pools (biomass and soils) in addition to short‐term fluxes has important implications for management of forests in the Pacific North‐west for carbon sequestration.  相似文献

To gain a better understanding of growth curve, biomass duration in several growth models, such as the exponential, linear, Gompertz, Mitscherlich, logistic, Richards and Bertalanffy, is formulated. Generally, biomass duration in these models can be given in two ways; thet- andw-representations. The latter representation, which can be defined as the summed value of reciprocal of relative growth rate with respect to biomass, gives a new significance to biomass duration. The utility of both representations is exemplified by the observed data of a fir. The idea of biomass duration is extended to get total amounts of anabolism and catabolism in the Bertalanffy model.  相似文献

A metabolic model for the stoichiometry of acetate uptake under anaerobic conditions by an enriched culture of glycogen accumulating organisms (GAOs) was developed and tested by experimental studies. Glycogen served as the source of both reducing power and energy to drive the process of acetate uptake. The amount of glycogen consumed and poly-beta-hydroxyvalerate (PHV) accumulated in the cells increased with increasing pH, indicating that the energy requirements for acetate uptake increased with pH. The composition of the accumulated poly-beta-hydroxyalkanoates (PHAs) was adequately predicted using the assumption that acetyl-CoA and propionyl-CoA condense randomly to produce PHA. In addition, the rate of acetate uptake was strongly affected by the pH. The rate decreased with increasing pH and this dependence could be described with a saturation type of expression. A comparison of the rate of acetate uptake at low pH with the rates observed in enriched cultures of phosphorus accumulating organisms (PAOs) indicated that GAOs are able to compete effectively with PAOs in nutrient removal systems under certain conditions.  相似文献

本文就油菜菌核病病情、发病期及发病部位与油菜产量损失的相互关系进行了模似研究。结果表明:病斑绕茎度是影响产量的主要因素,其大小与产量损失成正相关,而病斑纵向长度与产量损失无明显相关性;发病期不同产量差异显著,以初花期发病产量损失最重,发病期与产量损失线性相关,可利用线性回归方程对产量损失进行预测;主茎发病部位愈近基部,枝条发病部位愈趋于主茎,单株产量损失率愈高。  相似文献

京津冀城市群土地利用变化对地表径流的影响   总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4  
城市化的显著特征之一是地表景观格局被人为改变,大量硬化地表覆盖、取代了原本自然或半自然的土地覆盖类型,极大地干扰了区域水文循环过程。其中,最直接的体现是对地表径流过程的影响。城市群作为当前我国城市化的重要模式,其聚集连片的扩张模式,对区域地表径流过程的干扰尤为严重。以京津冀特大城市群为研究区域,应用长期水文影响评价模型(L-THIA),以1980、1990、2000、2010、2015年5期土地利用数据、土壤数据以及1950—2015年逐日降雨数据为输入,模拟计算了不同土地利用/覆被格局对多年平均地表径流量的影响。结果表明,(1)经过率定的L-THIA模型能够较为准确地模拟京津冀城市群地区的地表径流分布特征,模型模拟误差在±10%内;(2)1980—2015年,京津冀城市群地区不透水地表面积急剧增加,其净增长值为12690.14 km~2。北京与天津等超大城市不透水地表面积增加最明显;(3)随着土地利用格局的变化,京津冀地区地表径流量呈逐年增长趋势。1980—2015年,京津冀城市群地区地表径流量的绝对增长值为17.84亿m~3,增幅11.83%。其中,1990—2000年及2010—2015年期间地表径流年均增长率较大,分别为0.36%与0.46%。对地表径流贡献较大的土地利用类型为耕地和不透水地表,其5期土地利用情景下的平均产流占比分别为35.38%、22.71%;(4)城市尺度上,不同城市的标准化年均径流深(NAARD)存在较大差异。天津、石家庄的产流能力较强,承德、衡水等城市的产流能力较弱,北京市的标准化年均径流深处于中等水平。另一方面,不同城市标准化年均径流深增长规律也存在较大差异。1980—2015年,天津市的NAARD增长最多,承德市增长最少,北京市的NAARD增长处于中等水平。本文对于京津冀城市群水文过程的时空演变研究以及国土空间优化指导具有参考意义。  相似文献

文章使用2005年全国1%人口抽样调查数据,运用双重差分(DiD)模型和工具变量下的局部平均处理效应(LATE-IV)方法,研究了唐山大地震对个体受教育水平和在劳动力市场中表现的影响。研究发现,唐山大地震使得个体受教育年限减少0.14-0.21年,可看作地震的短期教育损失;此外,唐山大地震使得个体受教育年限的减少进而带来的收入损失约为3.51%-4.77%,带来的人力资本损失约占2005年唐山地区生产总值的0.30%-0.41%,可看作地震的长期教育损失。  相似文献

Batch anaerobic codigestion of municipal household solid waste (MHSW) and digested manure in mesophilic conditions was carried out. The different waste-to-biomass ratios and intensity of mixing were studied theoretically and experimentally. The experiments showed that when organic loading was high, intensive mixing resulted in acidification and failure of the process, while low mixing intensity was crucial for successful digestion. However, when loading was low, mixing intensity had no significant effect on the process. We hypothesized that mixing was preventing establishment of methanogenic zones in the reactor space. The methanogenic zones are important to withstand inhibition due to development of acids formed during acidogenesis. The 2D distributed models of symmetrical cylinder reactor are presented based on the hypothesis of the necessity of a minimum size of methanogenic zones that can propagate and establish a good methanogenic environment. The model showed that at high organic loading rate spatial separation of the initial methanogenic centers from active acidogenic areas is the key factor for efficient conversion of solids to methane. The initial level of methanogenic biomass in the initiation centers is a critical factor for the survival of these centers. At low mixing, most of the initiation methanogenic centers survive and expand over the reactor volume. However, at vigorous mixing the initial methanogenic centers are reduced in size, averaged over the reactor volume, and finally dissipate. Using fluorescence in situ hybridization, large irregular cocci of microorganisms were observed in the case with minimal mixing, while in the case with high stirring mainly dead cells were found.  相似文献

选择浙江省内临安、安吉、龙泉3个毛竹产区为研究区域,基于野外调查数据和Landsat 5 TM影像,分别建立3个区域的毛竹林生物量遥感估算模型,包括一元线性模型、一元非线性模型、逐步回归模型、多元线性模型和Erf-BP神经网络模型,并对3个区域的模型进行评价;最后,选择精度较好的模型进行移植并对其可移植性进行分析.结果表明:在3个区域,Eff-BP神经网络模型精度均最高,逐步回归模型和一元非线性模型次之.Erf-BP神经网络模型的可移植性最佳.模型类型和模型自变量对统计模型的可移植性有较大影响.  相似文献
