Summary Application of a granular formulation of hexachlorocyclohexane (HCH) to the potted soil at flooding decreased the concentration of iron and. to some extent, manganese in rice plants, especially at concentrations above 3 ppm active ingredient (a.i.) Likewise, HCH, applied to rice fields at transplanting (several days after submergence) caused a significant decrease in the concentration of iron, and not manganese, in the rice plant but only at concentrations above 12.5 kg a.i./ha despite high levels of reduced iron in the soil. Inhibition of iron reduction by HCH was more pronounced when applied at flooding than at several days after flooding.  相似文献

Summary Rice plants were grown in sand cultures with nutrient solution including boron at 0, 1, 2.5 and 5 ppm concentrations.In general, supply of boron improved the pollen vitality of rice flowers. It was stimulating up to 2.5 ppm concentration in the nutrient solution, beyond which (i.e., at 5 ppm) inhibitory effects appeared. The availability of boron also increased the yield of rice grains in the same order.Stimulating effects of boron may be linked with greater availability of sugars, increased enzymatic activity and respiration which favoured better growth of pollen. Inhibitory effects of stronger concentration of boron (5 ppm) may be related with physiological depression and injury to protoplasm itself.  相似文献

Mutagenic effectiveness and efficiency of EMS,DES and gamma-rays in rice   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Summary Data on chlorophyll mutation frequency after treatment with EMS, DES and gamma-rays and sequential administration of gamma-rays and the two alkylating agents in three varieties of rice have been used to work out quantitatively the effectiveness and efficiency of each mutagen and combination treatment. For effectiveness, the order is EMS > DES and for efficiency it is EMS > DES > gamma-rays. In some sequential treatments (Gamma-rays + DES in IR8 and Basmati; DES + gamma-rays in IR8 and Jhona; Gamma-rays + EMS in IR8 and Basmati; and EMS + gamma-rays in IR8, Jhona and Basmati) mutation frequency is more than additive (synergistic) but these treatments are decisively less efficient because of their relatively high injurious effects in the M1. generation. EMS induces more albinas than gamma-rays do. The mutational spectrum patterns induced by gamma-rays and DES are alike. In general, combination treatments tend to increase the frequency of albinas over other types of chlorophyll mutants.  相似文献

Summary Zinc deficiency in rice induced by prolonged water saturation of the soil is widespread in the Philippines. The poor drainage associated with the disorder is mostly due to upwelling of shallow artesian water in footslope areas and to ponding of water from continually flowing artesian wells common in such areas. One toposequence where no Zn deficiency occurred in the highest field and progressively severe Zn deficiency in successive lower fields, was studied in detail. With lower elevation soils showed an increase in organic matter and free carbonate, associated with increased upwelling and ponding of artesian water very high in dissolved Mg and Ca bicarbonate.  相似文献

采用模拟污染物的同位素示踪技术研究HTO(流水)在水稻-水-土壤模拟生态系统中的迁移、消长行为,并应用三库室开系统模型和非线性回归方法确定了水稻、水和土壤分室的拟合方程.结果表明,田表水中的HTO不仅在系统各分室间转移和分配,而且迅速向系统外散逸;HTO中的流以自由水氚和结合态流形式存在于水稻中,以吸湿性水流和结晶水氚存在于土壤,其中自由水氚(或吸湿性水氚)的比活度大于结合态流(或结晶水氚);水稻植株和土壤中HTO比活度随时间增加至最大值后又趋于下降,而结合态氚则呈缓慢增加;水稻茎秆中的总氚比活度高于其它各部位,而后逐渐趋于动态平衡.对实验数据进行回归分析得:田表水、土壤和水稻植株中的总氚比活度分别为Cw(t)=32.19c^-0.0353t 99.94c^-0.330t、Cs(t)=20.42(e^-0.0353t-e^-0.330t)和Cr(t)=38.49c^-0.0353t-10.13e^-0.330t-28.36c^-2.5744t。方差分析结果表明,各回归方程较好地反映了HTO在水稻-水-土壤生态系统中的行为.  相似文献

用包括基因型×环境互作效应的种子性状遗传模型,研究了籼粳亚种间杂交稻米脂肪含量的遗传特性,结果表明:在籼粳杂种中,脂肪含量的遗传表达主要受控于种子直接加性效应和母体加性效应,以前者为主.基因型X环境互作主要表现为显性(包括直接显性和母体显性)X环境以及细胞质X环境工作.直接近传率和母体遗传率都极显著.此外,根据遗传效应预测值对供试条本的利用价值作了评价.  相似文献

Plant mutants are important bio-resources for crop breeding and gene functional studies. Conventional methods for generating mutant libraries by mutagenesis of seeds with physical or chemical agents are of low efficiency. Here, we developed a highly-efficient ethyl methanesulfonate (EMS) mutagenesis system based on suspension-cultured cells, with rice (Oryza sativa L.) as an example. We show that treatment of suspension-cultured tiny cell clusters with 0.4% EMS for 18-22h followed by differentiation and regeneration produced as high as 29.4% independent mutant lines with visible phenotypic variations, including a number of important agronomic traits such as grain size, panicle size, grain or panicle shape, tiller number and angle, heading date, male sterility, and disease sensitivity. No mosaic mutant was observed in the mutant lines tested. In this mutant library, we obtained a mutant with an abnormally elongated uppermost internode. Sequencing and functional analysis revealed that this is a new allelic mutant of eui (elongated uppermost internode) caused by two point mutations in the first exon of the EUI gene, representing a successful example of this mutagenesis system.  相似文献

在水稻 (Oryza sativa)幼芽中存在膜结合的赤霉素结合蛋白 ,其与 GA3 结合的平衡解离常数(Kd)为 6.5× 1 0 -8mol/ L,总浓度为 0 .3 pmol· mg-1 蛋白质。结合蛋白与 GA3 结合活力在 0℃时比 2 5℃时高 1 4 0 %。它与 GA3 结合的最适 p H为 5。 GA3 与此结合蛋白的结合量随反应时间延长而增加 ,1 h达最大值 ,以后又逐渐下降。 IAA、ABA可与 GA3 竞争赤霉素结合蛋白。  相似文献

Embryogenic cell suspension cultures were obtained from calli developed from mature rice seeds of a Japonica type Itahan cultivar, Roncarolo. Protoplasts were isolated and transformed by PEG-treated method with plasmid pHP23 carrying the NPT Ⅱ gene which encodes resistance to antibiotic G-418. Protoplast-derived colonies were selected in presence of the inhibitor. Plants were regenerated and transplanted into soil in the green house. The presence of foreign gene in the regenerated plants was verified by PCR and Southern analysis.  相似文献

Melatonin (MLT) is a hormonal substance found in many organisms and can improve plant stress resistance. In this study, the japonica rice variety Y32 and indica rice variety NJ6 were cultivated in hydroponics under different concentrations of CdCl2 at the two-leaf stage. The growth, physiological and biochemical responses of the seedlings and the expression of cadmium (Cd)-related genes under exogenous melatonin (MLT) treatment were assessed. The results indicated that Cd stress destroyed the dynamic balance between reactive oxygen species (ROS) production and removal, resulting in ROS accumulation, membrane lipid peroxidation, and impaired growth and development. Following the application of exogenous MLT to rice seedlings, increases in plant biomass including both underground and above-ground areas were observed. MLT also scavenged the inhibition of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and peroxidase (POD) in a concentration dependent manner in response to Cd stress. Catalase (CAT) activity and malondialdehyde (MDA) expression also decreased following MLT treatment. Amongst the six Cd-related genes assessed, five genes were down-regulated and one was up-regulated in response to MLT treatment. Taken together, these data demonstrate that MLT improves the resilience of rice seedlings at the biochemical, physiological, and molecular levels, and diminishes the damage caused by Cd stress.  相似文献
