PurposeThis work investigated effects of implementing the Delta4 Discover diode transmission detector into the clinical workflow.MethodsPDD and profile scans were completed with and without the Discover for a number of photon beam energies. Transmission factors were determined for all beam energies and included in Eclipse TPS to account for the attenuation of the Discover. A variety of IMRT plans were delivered to a Delta4 Phantom+ with and without the Discover to evaluate the Discover’s effects on IMRT QA. An imaging QA phantom was used to assess the detector’s effects on MV image quality. OSLDs placed on the Phantom+ were used to determine the detector’s effects on superficial dose.ResultsThe largest effect on PDDs after dmax was 0.5%. The largest change in beam profile symmetry and flatness was 0.2% and 0.1%, respectively. An average difference in gamma passing rates (2%/2 mm) of 0.2% was observed between plans that did not include the Discover in the measurement and calculation to plans that did include the Discover in the measurement and calculation. The Discover did not significantly change the MV image quality, and the largest observed increase in the relative superficial dose when the Discover was present was 1%.ConclusionsThe effects the Discover has on the linac beam were found to be minimal. The device can be implemented into the clinic without the need to alter the TPS beam modeling, other than accounting for the device’s attenuation. However, a careful workflow review to implement the Discover should be completed.  相似文献

For animals to carry out a wide range of detection, recognition and navigation tasks, visual motion signals are crucial. The encoding of motion information has therefore, attracted much attention in the experimental and computational study of brain function. Two main alternative mechanisms have been proposed on the basis of behavioural and physiological experiments. On one hand, correlation-type and motion energy detectors are simple and efficient in the design of their basic mechanism but are tuned to temporal frequency rather than to speed. On other hand, gradient-type motion detectors directly represent an estimate of speed, but may require more demanding processing mechanisms. We demonstrate here how the temporal frequency dependence observed for sine-wave gratings can disappear for less constrained stimuli, to be replaced by responses reflecting speed for stimuli like square waves when a phase-sensitive detection mechanism is employed. We conclude from these observations that temporal frequency tuning is not necessarily a limitation for motion vision based on correlation detectors, and more generally demonstrate in view of the typical Fourier composition of natural scenes, that correlation detectors operating in such environments can encode image speed. In the context of our results, we discuss the implications of the loss of phase sensitivity inherent in using a linear system approach to describe neural processing.  相似文献

Chloramphenicol acetyl transferase (CAT) gene was used as a reporter gene to assess the conditions for polyethylene glycol (PEG)-mediated transfection of kiwifruit protoplasts. The effect of plasmid concentration and the presence of carrier DNA were each assessed by analysing CAT activity in transfected protoplasts using thin-layer chromatography (TLC) autoradiographic detection of acetylated chloramphenicol. A gas chromatography (GC) and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) non-radioactive method was developed for monitoring CAT gene activity. This method provides a high speed of analysis (30 min) and precise means of detecting acetylated products at the nanomolar level, enabling quantification at very low transfection rates. Using this method we optimized plasmid and PEG concentration and also assessed the effect of heat shock on transfection. The best CAT activity was obtained using 30% polyethylene glycol 4000 and by submitting protoplasts to heat shock (45 °C, 5 min) prior to transfection.  相似文献

Oligo-kappa-carrageenans participate as elicitors in the cell-cell recognition process in marine plants. Analytical methods can be usefully applied to gain insight into the biochemistry of these biological processes. Therefore, enzymatically digested oligomers of kappa-carrageenans have been separated and isolated on a Spherisorb ODS1 (250 x 4 mm i.d., particle size 5 microm) column using ion-pair liquid chromatography coupled with an evaporative light scattering detector. Heptylamine (5 mM, pH4) has been selected as the ion-pairing agent and MeOH as the organic modifier in a gradient mode. Overloading the column with 1mg of the mixture, the chromatographic mechanism presented adequate stability. The mobile phase of each isolated oligomer was evaporated and the residue was infused into an electrospray ionisation mass spectrometry (ESIMS) in positive-ion mode with 4:1 MeCN-water as mobile phase. Each ESIMS spectrum presented ions consisting of the oligomer attached with a number of heptylammonium ions depending on the molecule size. In addition, the different m/z values permitted direct detection of the oligomers in ESIMS positive-ion mode. The analytical method developed separated the oligomers up to dotriacontasaccharide.  相似文献

The combination of a circular dichroism detector and nonchiral liquid chromatography was used for the chiral analysis of unresolved enantiomers to determine the enantioselectivity of a molybdenum-catalyzed asymmetric allylic alkylation reaction. The CD/UV peak area ratio of the unresolved enantiomers was calculated and compared with that of a reference standard to determine the enantiomeric purity. The limit of quantitation (LOQ) is 20 ng for the chiral ligand and 1 microg for the branched chiral product. The viability of the system depends on the limit of quantitation of the CD response and the linearity range of the CD and UV response.  相似文献

地表植被作为生态环境变化的敏感因子,对维持区域生态稳定性具有重要作用。基于退耕还林(草)生态工程实施过程中2000-2019年陕北地区的MODIS NDVI数据,结合地形、地貌、气候、土壤和植被等环境因子,探究NDVI时空变异特征,并运用地理探测器模型对植被NDVI影响因子及其影响程度进行探测,最终确定主要环境因子对NDVI的驱动机制。结果表明:(1)2000-2019年陕北地区中高和高植被覆盖区面积分别增加了25.64%和11.74%,植被覆盖状况整体良好;NDVI空间分布差异显著,其中,东南丘陵沟壑区植被覆盖度较高,西北风沙区以及城镇建设用地区域植被覆盖度较低;(2)陕北地区植被NDVI主要受年降水量和干燥度指数的影响,其解释力均大于45%;植被类型、≥10℃积温、地貌类型和坡度的解释力在15%-35%之间;土壤类型、年均温、高程和坡向的解释力均小于10%;(3)各环境因子对陕北地区NDVI变化的影响存在相互增强和非线性增强的协同交互关系。结果揭示的中高和高植被覆盖区面积的显著增加、影响NDVI的主要驱动因子年降水量和干燥度指数的适宜阈值以及它们之间交互增强的驱动机制,能够为陕北地...  相似文献
