Yonagunia Kawaguchi et Masuda, gen. nov. (Halymeniaceae, Rhodophyta) is proposed to accommodate a new species, Yonagunia tenuifolia Kawaguchi et Masuda and the species currently known as Prionitis formosana (Okamura) Kawaguchi et Nguyen. Based on auxiliary cell ampullar features, Yonagunia is included in the group of genera with the simplest type of ampulla (the Grateloupia type) that comprises Dermocorynus, Grateloupia, Kintokiocolax, Phyllymenia, and Zymurgia. However, Yonagunia differs from these genera in the behavior of cells in the ampullar filaments immediately after diploidization, most cells of the primary and secondary filaments simultaneously dividing to form grape‐like clusters of small globular cells that subsequently elongate and produce involucral filaments to laxly surround the maturing carposporophyte. Yonagunia is resolved by our rbcL gene sequence analyses as one of five monophyletic clades within the Halymeniaceae (an Aeodes/Pachymenia, a Polyopes, a Carpopertis/Cryptonemia/Halymenia, a Yonagunia, and a Grateloupia clade) that is positioned as sister to the Grateloupia clade. Carpogonial branch apparatuses are identified as a potential taxonomic significance on the same level as auxiliary cell ampullae.  相似文献

A recent investigation indicated that Polygala tenuifolia Willdenow extract (PTE) possesses a potential antipsychotic effect. In this study, we examined the effects of PTE on the cocaine-induced changes in locomotor activity, conditioned place preference (CPP), fos-related antigen-immunoreactivity (FRA-IR), and activator protein (AP)-1 DNA binding activity. Cocaine-induced behavioral effects (hyperlocomotion and CPP) occurred in parallel with increases in FRA-IR and AP-1 DNA binding activity in the nucleus accumbens. These responses induced by cocaine were consistently attenuated by concurrent treatment with PTE (25 mg or 50 mg/kg/day, i.p. x 7). The adenosine A2A receptor antagonist, 1,3,7-trimethyl-8-(3-chlorostyrl)xanthine (0.5 or 1.0 mg/kg, i.p.), reversed the PTE-mediated pharmacological action in a dose related manner; neither the adenosine A(1) receptor antagonist, 8-cyclopentyl-1,3-dimethylxanthine (0.5 or 1.0 mg/kg, i.p.) nor the A2B receptor antagonist, alloxazine (1.5 or 3.0 mg/kg, i.p.) significantly affected this pharmacological action. Our results suggest that PTE prevents cocaine-induced behavioral effects, at least in part, via the activation of the adenosine A2A receptor.  相似文献

1. The intensity of community interactions and the structure of food webs can be associated with an organism's body size. However, little is known about how interactions among species in multitrophic communities determine the body size of individuals exploiting the same resource. 2. This study evaluates the effects of resource size, fruit infestation, and parasitism on tibia length, a proxy measure of body size, of insects exploiting the same resource. The three most abundant seed-feeding species of Senegalia tenuifolia (Fabaceae: Mimosoideae) were selected, and the relationship between their tibia length and the interactions within the food web was estimated. The selected species were the beetles Merobruchus terani and Stator maculatopygus, and the braconid wasp Allorhogas vulgaris. 3. The body sizes of 531 specimens were measured and it was found that tibia length of each species responded differently to the interactions, demonstrating that functionally similar species may respond differently to multitrophic effects. The body size of Merobruchus terani, the most abundant species in the food web, was negatively affected by the presence of A. vulgaris, but there was a positive relationship with seed biomass and its own abundance in the fruits. The other two species were less abundant and more plastic in their responses, as a strong negative effect of M. terani presence on A. vulgaris body size was observed, as well as a strong negative effect of Coleoptera parasitism rate on S. maculatopygus body size. 4. It is concluded that morphological traits can provide information on how interactions affect species body size.  相似文献

对广西黄花倒水莲(PolygalafallaxHemsl.)资源现状进行了调查,并采用香草醛 高氯酸比色法测定了不同产地黄花倒水莲不同部位的总皂苷含量,基本弄清了黄花倒水莲在广西的资源分布、生长环境及目前民间药用情况。总皂苷含量测定结果表明:根、茎和叶中总皂苷含量存在较大差异,依次为:根>叶>茎;各产地间含量差异较小。  相似文献

Polygala peshmenii Eren, Parolly, Raus & Kürschner is described and illustrated as a new species from Antalya province in south‐west Anatolia, Turkey. Within subgenus Polygala section Polygala, it seems to be taxonomically quite isolated. As far as the Flora of Turkey area is concerned, technical comparison can be made with the informal P. alpestris Rchb. and P. vulgaris L. groups. In vitro evaluation was carried out on seed samples of wild and cultivated rocket cultivars, most frequently grown in Italy, and obtained from farms affected by the leaf spot caused by Alternaria japonica in Piedmont and Lombardy during the fall of 2010. Twelve seed samples were collected and assayed for the presence of Ajaponica. The pathogen was isolated only from not disinfected seeds. Among the two seed samples of cultivated rocket (Eruca vesicaria), only one was infected by A. japonica at a level of one infected seed out of 800. Four out of ten samples of wild (Diplotaxis tenuifolia) rocket seeds were contaminated by A. japonica with the highest level of infection detected in a single sample of 3 out of 800. All tested isolates of A. japonica obtained from seeds were pathogenic on both wild and cultivated rocket.  相似文献

Two new triterpene saponins C and D have been isolated from the aerial parts of Polygala japonica Houtt. Their molecular formulas: C42H68O15 were structural isomers of each other. Acid hydrolysis of the two saponins all produced a sapogenin (2a, 3a, 24-trihydroxyo-lean-12-ene-28-oic acid) and D-glucoses. But only the saponin D could be hydrolyzed in the alkaline solution, the products were identical with those from acid hydrolysis. Their structures have been established by means of 1HNMR,13CNMR and MS as 3-O-[β-D-glucopyranosyl(l→2)β-D-glucopyranosyl] 2α, 3α, 24-trihydroxyolean-12-ene-28-oic acid, 28-O-[β-D-glucopy-ranosyl (1→2)-β-D-glucopyranosyl] 2α, 3α, 24-trihydroxyolean-12-ene-28-oic acid.  相似文献

A new triterpene saponin B has been isolated from the earial parts of Polygala japonica Houtt in folk-lore medicine. Its molecular: C48H78O20, m.p. 199–202℃, [α]D23+30.0 (C, 0.5, CH3OH). Acidic hydrolysis of this saponin gave a sapogenin (2α, 3α, 24-tri-hydroxyolean-12-ene-28-oic acid) and D-glucose. The structure of saponin B was elucidated as 28-O- [β-D-glucopyranosyl (1→2) -β-D-glucopyranosyl (1→2) -β-D-glucopy- ranosyl] 2α, 3α, 24-trihydroxyolean-12-ene-28-oic acid mainly by 13C-NMR, MS and some chemical transfomations.  相似文献
