The amounts of free sterols, steryl esters and lipid phosphorus were determined in the sapwood and heartwood of mature, and in the outer and inner sapwood of young Pinus sylvestris trees. In the mature trees (up to 70 years old) the heartwood contains significantly higher amounts of free sterols than the sapwood. No radial gradient can be demonstrated in the amounts of steryl esters. Lipids extracted from the sapwood contain higher amounts of phosphorus than those from the heartwood. Stems of young Pinus sylvestris trees (up to 13 years old) show in the inner sapwood higher amounts of both free sterols and steryl esters than the peripheral younger wood zone. The inner sapwood of the young stems shows slightly higher amounts of lipid phosphorus than the outer sapwood. The results indicate that Pinus sylvestris accumulates both free sterols and steryl esters in the stems at a very early stage of the life cycle. Sterol accumulation in the innermost parts of the stems seems not to depend on heartwood formation. 相似文献

由邻苯二甲酸酯(PAEs)引起的环境污染和食品安全问题已经引起全球性关注.我国既是邻苯二甲酸酯生产大国,又是消费大国,其环境污染问题不容忽视.本文综述了美国国家环保署所列出的6种优先控制PAEs污染物在我国农田土壤中的污染现状,分析了其来源,重点阐述了不同类型农作物对PAEs化合物的吸收累积特征及PAEs类污染物的生物毒害效应.我国多数地区农业土壤中PAEs的含量显著高于美国和欧洲等国家.大气沉降、农用薄膜、施用污泥和污水灌溉是我国农业土壤中PAEs的主要来源.不同作物对PAEs的吸收、累积和分配特征具有显著的差异性.PAEs不但影响土壤质量、作物生长和生理生化性质,而且具有生物累积效应.最后指出了当前研究中的不足及对今后研究的展望,建议扩大PAEs污染调查范围,深入揭示PAEs对农作物的毒害机理,重点研发PAEs污染土壤的原位修复技术. 相似文献

We have examined the antioxidant activity of the major phenolic compounds in Broccoli: two flavonol glycosides (quercetin 3-O-sophoroside and kaemp-ferol 3-O-sophoroside) and four hydroxycinnamic acid esters (1,2'-disinapoyl-2-feruloyl gentiobiose, 1-sinapoyl-2-feruloyl gentiobiose, 1,2,2'-trisinapoyl gentiobiose and 1,2-disinapoyl gentiobiose). The Trolox C equivalent antioxidant capacity (TEAC) and inhibition of iron/ascorbate-induced lipid per-oxidation of phosphatidyl choline vesicles were measured. In the aqueous phase TEAC assay, the two flavonol glycosides were less active than their respective aglycones. TEAC values for the hydroxycinnamic acid esters were less than the sum of their constituent hydroxycinnamic acids on a molar basis. Quercetin 3-O-sophoroside was a potent inhibitor of lipid peroxidation, in contrast to kaempferol 3-O-sophoroside. The hydroxycinnamic acid esters were highly effective at preventing lipid damage with the exception of 1,2,2'-trisinapoyl gentiobiose. The six compounds analysed herein demonstrate the antioxidant activity of the major phenolics in broccoli and indicate the effect on antioxidant activity of sugar substitutions in the phenolic B ring. 相似文献

Esters of 3-methyl-2-oxobutanoic acid are reduced with bakers' yeast by three methods: free bakers' yeast in water, immobilized bakers' yeast in water, and immobilized bakers' yeast in hexane. Although (R)-hydroxy esters are obtained in all cases, the enantiomeric excess varies from 3% (reduction of the methyl ester with free bakers' yeast in water) to 93% (reduction of the butyl ester with immobilized bakers' yeast in hexane) depending on the structure of substrate and on the reaction conditions. The major pectenotoxin and okadaic acid group toxins in Dinophysis acuta and Dinophysis acuminata cell concentrates, collected from various locations around the coast of the South Island of New Zealand (NZ), were determined by liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry (LC–MS/MS). PTX2 and PTX11 were the major polyether toxins in all Dinophysis spp. cell concentrates. D. acuta contained PTX11 and PTX2 at concentrations of 4.7–64.6 and 32.5–107.5 pg per cell, respectively. The amounts of PTX11 and PTX2 in D. acuminata were much lower at 0.4–2.1 and 2.4–25.8 pg per cell, respectively. PTX seco acids comprised only 4% of the total PTX content of both D. acuta and D. acuminata. D. acuta contained low levels of OA (0.8–2.7 pg per cell) but specimens from the South Island west coast also contained up to 10 times higher levels of OA esters (7.0–10.2 pg per cell). Esterified forms of OA were not observed in D. acuta specimens from the Marlborough Sounds. D. acuta did not contain any DTX1 though all D. acuminata specimens contained DTX1 at levels of 0.1–2.4 pg per cell. DTX2 was not present in any New Zealand Dinophysis spp. specimens. Although the total toxin content varied spatially and temporally, the relative proportions of the various toxins in different specimens from the same location appeared to be relatively stable. The total PTX/total OA ratios in different isolates of D. acuta were very similar (mean±S.E.: 14.9±1.9), although the Marlborough Sounds D. acuminata isolates had a higher total PTX/total OA ratio (mean±S.E.: 22.7±2.4) than the Akaroa Harbour isolates (8.0). No evidence of azaspiracids were detected in these specimens. These results show that the LC–MS/MS monitoring of plankton for PTX group toxins (e.g. PTX2) and their derivatives (e.g. PTX2 seco acid) may provide a sensitive, semi-quantitative, indicator of the presence of more cryptic OA group toxins (e.g. OA esters). 相似文献

Abstract: The effects of arachidonic acid and phorbol esters in the Ca2+ -dependent release of glutamate evoked by 4-aminopyridine (4-AP) in rat cerebrocortical synaptosomes were studied. In the absence of arachidonic acid, high concentrations (500 n M ) of 4β-phorbol dibutyrate (4β-PDBu) were required to enhance the release of glutamate. However, in the presence of arachidonic acid, low concentrations of 4β-PDBu (1–50 n M ) were effective in potentiating glutamate exocytosis. This potentiation of glutamate release by phorbol esters was not observed with the methyl ester of arachidonic acid, which does not activate protein kinase C. Moreover, pretreatment of synaptosomes with the protein kinase inhibitor staurosporine also prevented the stimulatory effect by arachidonic acid and phorbol esters. These results suggest that the activation of protein kinase C by both arachidonic acid and phorbol esters may play a role in the potentiation of glutamate exocytosis. 相似文献

A recent rise in crab aquaculture activities has intensified the generation of waste shells. In the present study, the waste shells were utilized as a source of calcium oxide to transesterify palm olein into methyl esters (biodiesel). Characterization results revealed that the main component of the shell is calcium carbonate which transformed into calcium oxide when activated above 700 °C for 2 h. Parametric studies have been investigated and optimal conditions were found to be methanol/oil mass ratio, 0.5:1; catalyst amount, 5 wt.%; reaction temperature, 65 °C; and a stirring rate of 500 rpm. The waste catalyst performs equally well as laboratory CaO, thus creating another low-cost catalyst source for producing biodiesel. Reusability results confirmed that the prepared catalyst is able to be reemployed up to 11 times. Statistical analysis has been performed using a Central Composite Design to evaluate the contribution and performance of the parameters on biodiesel purity. 相似文献

Three iridoid glycosides 6-O-(3'-O-benzoyl)-alpha-l-rhamnopyranosylcatalpol (1a), 6-O-(3'-O-trans-cinnamoyl)-alpha-l-rhamnopyranosylcatalpol (2a) and 6-O-(3'-O-cis-cinnamoyl)-alpha-l-rhamnopyranosylcatalpol (3a) were isolated from aerial parts of Gmelina arborea and structures were elucidated by spectral analysis.
