New mixed metal complexes SrCu2(O2CR)3(bdmap)3 (R = CF3 (1a), CH3 (1b)) and a new dinuclear bismuth complex Bi2(O2CCH3)4(bdmap)2(H2O) (2) have been synthesized. Their crystal structures have been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses. Thermal decomposition behaviors of these complexes have been examined by TGA and X-ray powder diffraction analyses. While compound 1a decomposes to SrF2 and CuO at about 380°C, compound 1b decomposes to the corresponding oxides above 800°C. Compound 2 decomposes cleanly to Bi2O3 at 330°C. The magnetism of 1a was examined by the measurement of susceptibility from 5–300 K. Theoretical fitting for the susceptibility data revealed that 1a is an antiferromagnetically coupled system with g = 2.012(7), −2J = 34.0(8) cm−1. Inner ear disorders' treatment remains challenging due to anatomical barriers. Robotic assistance seems to be a promising approach to enhance inner ear treatments and, more particularly, lead to effective targeted drug delivery into the human cochlea. In this paper we present a combination of a micro-macro system that was designed and realized in order to efficiently control the navigation of magnetic nanoparticles in an open-loop scheme throughout the cochlea, considering that the magnetic particles cannot be located in real time.In order to respect the anatomical constraints, we established the characteristics that the new platform must present then proceeded to the design of the latter. The developed system is composed of a magnetic actuator that aims to guide nanoparticles into the cochlea. Mounted on a robotic manipulator, it ensures its positioning around the patient's head. The magnetic device integrates four parallelepiped-rectangle permanent magnets. Their arrangement in space, position and orientation, allows the creation of an area of convergence of magnetic forces where nanoparticles can be pushed/pulled to. To ensure the reachability of the desired orientations and positions, a 3 DOF robot based on a Remote Centre of Motion (RCM) mechanism was developed. It features three concurrent rotational joints that generate a spherical workspace around the head. The control of the latter is based on kinematic models.A prototype of this platform was realized to validate the actuation process. Both magnetic actuator and robotic manipulator were realized using an additive manufacturing approach. We also designed a virtual human head with a life-size cochlea inside. A laser was mounted on the end effector to track the positioning of the actuator. This permitted to experimentally prove the capacity of the robotic system to reach the desired positions and orientations in accordance with the medical needs.This promising robotic approach, makes it possible to overcome anatomical barriers and steer magnetic nanoparticles to a targeted location in the inner ear and, more precisely, inside the cochlea. 相似文献

摘要 目的:探讨磁共振成像在剖宫产术后瘢痕妊娠(cesarean scar pregnancy,CSP)诊疗路径中的应用价值。方法:回顾性分析24例经手术和(或)病理证实为瘢痕妊娠的孕妇临床和影像检查资料,记录MRI上妊娠囊位置、大小、T1、T2信号强度、妊娠囊类型、妊娠囊与子宫前壁下段肌层及膀胱的关系,分析MR特征对临床诊疗路径的应用价值。结果:24例妊娠囊均位于子宫下段,为圆形或卵圆形,11例妊娠囊为单纯囊性,12例妊娠囊为混杂包块型,1例因清宫术后行MR,未见明确妊娠囊,仅见子宫下段混杂信号。10例妊娠囊附着处子宫肌厚度不可测量,余14例妊娠囊附着处子宫肌厚度约0.9~5.0 mm,平均2.5±1.1 mm。据此,CSP分型为I型5例,II型7例,III型12例。结论:MRI能较好的评估CSP, 在CSP诊疗路径中的应用价值较大。 相似文献

We examined the effect of differences in exercise intensity on the time constant (t
c) of phosphocreatine (PCr) resynthesis after exercise and the relationships betweent
c and maximal oxygen uptake (VO2max) in endurance-trained runners (n = 5) and untrained controls (n = 7) (average VO2max = 66.2 and 52.0 ml · min–1 · kg–1, respectively). To measure the metabolism of the quadriceps muscle using phosphorus nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, we developed a device which allowed knee extension exercise inside a magnet. All the subjects performed four types of exercise: light, moderate, severe and exhausting. The end-exercise PCr: [PCr + inorganic phosphate (Pi)] ratio decreased significantly with the increase in the exercise intensity (P < 0.01). Although there was little difference in the end-exercise pH, adenosine diphosphate concentration ([ADP]) and the lowest intracellular pH during recovery between light and moderate exercise, significant changes were found at the two higher intensities (P < 0.01). These changes for runners were smaller than those for the controls (P < 0.05). The
c remained constant after light and moderate exercise and then lengthened in proportion to the increase in intensity (P < 0.05). The runners had a lowert
c at the same PCr and pH than the controls, particularly at the higher intensity (P < 0.05). There was a significant correlation betweent
c and [ADP] in light exercise and betweent

To assess the role of skylight polarization in the orientation system of a day-migrating bird, Yellow-faced Honeyeaters (Lichenostomus chrysops, Meliphagidae) were tested in funnel cages for their directional preferences. In control tests in the natural local geomagnetic field under the clear natural sky, they preferred their normal migratory course. Manipulations of the e-vector by depolarizing the skylight or rotating the axis of polarization failed to affect the orientation as long as the natural geomagnetic field was present. When deprived of magnetic information, the birds continued in their normal migratory direction as long as they had access to information from the natural sky, or when either the sun or polarized light was available. However, when sun was hidden by clouds, depolarizers caused disorientation. — These findings indicate that polarized skylight can be used for orientation when no other known cues are available. However in the hierarchy of cues of this species, the polarization pattern clearly ranks lower than information from the geomagnetic field. 相似文献

Summary The parameters for HN chemical shift calculations of proteins have been determined using data from high-resolution crystal structures of 15 proteins. Employing these chemical shift calculations for HN protons, the observed secondary structure chemical shift trends of HN protons, i.e., upfield shifts on helix formation and downfield shifts on -sheet formation, are discussed. Our calculations suggest that the main reason for the difference in NH chemical shifts in helices and sheets is not an effect from the directly hydrogen-bonded carbonyl, which gives rise to downfield shifts in both cases, but arises from an additional upfield shift predicted in helices and originating in residues i-2 and i-3. The calculations also explain the well-known relationship between amide proton shifts and hydrogen-bond lengths. In addition, the HN chemical shifts of the distorted amphipathic helices of the GCN4 leucine zipper are calculated and used to characterise the solution structure of the helices. By comparing the calculated and experimental shifts, it is shown that in general the agreement is good between residues 15 and 28. The most interesting observation is that in the N-terminal half of the zipper, although both calculated and experimental shifts show clear periodicity, they are no longer in phase. This suggests that for the N-terminal half, in the true average solution structure the period of the helix coil is longer by roughly one residue compared to the NMR structures. 相似文献
