Chromosome counts were determined for 46 populations ofBiscutella representing 28 taxa. The genus was found to contain diploid taxa with 2n = 12, 16 and 18, tetraploid taxa with 2n = 36 and hexaploid taxa having 2n = 54.B. laevigata L. s. l. consists of diploid and tetraploid populations which are poorly differentiated morphologically. TetraploidB. laevigata s. l. and hexaploidB. variegata Boiss. & Reuter (s. l.) are characterized by chromosomal instability. The variation in chromosome numbers and the occurrence of polyploidy is discussed in relation to the taxonomy of the genus. An investigation of the breeding system showed that most of the annual species were self-compatible and partly inbreeding and most of the perennial species self-incompatible and, therefore, outbreeding, while one annual species,B. cichoriifolia Loisel., showed both systems.  相似文献

赤眼蜂的生长发育温度大致为10—35℃,可区分为全期正常发育温度(16—33℃);部分虫期发育温度(10—11℃);全期发育阀限温度(12—15°及34—35.5℃)。全期正常发育温度尚可划出发育适温区(20—30℃)及最适温区(24—26℃)。在适温及最适温区,赤眼蜂的发育速率随温度的升高而稳步上升。拟澳洲赤眼蜂温度每增长5℃,发育速率增长21—23%。在最适温区或适温区下繁殖,生长发育最好,羽化率最高。在适温区以外,赤眼蜂的生长发育较大幅度地向不利方向变化,发育时间延长,发育速率减慢。赤眼蜂个体发育所需的时间十分悬殊,影响因素有接蜂时间、寄生量、卵粒大小及质量以及气候环境等。拟澳洲赤眼蜂的发育始点为10.6℃,有效积温为157日度;舟蛾赤眼蜂为9.6℃及176日度。 赤眼蜂群体羽化的时间,在自然环境下以日间为多,并受光线的影响常在晨间形成羽化高蜂。在适温下群体羽化的时间-数量关系呈主蜂前移的波形曲线。群体羽化过程一般常有三个明显的周期,形成三个羽化高峰;同一群体,每一周期的羽化高峰,在时间上常有同步现象。有97%以上的个体在三个羽化周期内完成羽化。第一周期内羽化的个体是群体中生活力最强的个体。  相似文献

本文根据从大冶灵乡-陈重山剖面的中部、灵乡狮子山东侧采坑和鄂城太和1孔的相当层位中所获得的孢粉组合(共67属120余种,其中新种9个,新联合2个),认为灵乡群孢粉组合属于 Classopollis、Psophosphaera-Cicatricosisporites、Schizaeoisporites-没有或极个别的出现被子植物花粉的组合类型,其地质时代应为早白垩世早期-中期(凡兰吟期-巴列姆期)。并推测鄂东南地区当时的气候属于偏干旱的热带-亚热带型。  相似文献

Summary An electron microscopic, histoand biochemical study was carried out on the adrenal medulla of newborn and adult guinea-pigs giving special emphasis to small granule-containing (SGC) cells. Adrenaline (A) was the predominating catecholamine (CA) both in newborn (70–90 % of total CA) and adult (85–90%) guinea-pig adrenals. In analogy to the biochemical findings electron microscopy revealed a high predominance of A cells, which contained large granular vesicles with an average diameter of 180 nm. Most noradrenaline (NA) storing cells showed granular vesicles of a considerably smaller average diameter (80 nm) and had a higher nuclear-cytoplasmic ratio. These cells were termed SGC-NA cells. NA cells with large granular vesicles (average diameter 170 nm) were extremely rare. Another type of SGC cells contained granular vesicles with cores of low to medium electron-density (SGC-NA-negative cells). Biochemical determinations made it unlikely that these cells contained predominantly dopamine (DA). SGC cells were scarcely innervated by cholinergic nerves. They formed processes, which were found both in the adrenal cortex and medulla contacting blood vessels including sinusoid capillaries, steroid producing cells of the reticularis and fasciculata zone and processes, which were interpreted to belong to medullary nerve cells.Two types of neurons were present in the guinea-pig adrenal medulla, one resembling the principal neurons in sympathetic ganglia, the other, which, according to its morphology, occupied an intermediate position between principal neurons and SGC cells.In adrenomedullary grafts under the kidney capsule, which were studied three weeks after transplantation, ordinary A cells resembled SGC-NA negative cells with respect to their ultramorphology. Processes of transplanted principal neurons showed uptake of 5-hydroxydopamine and, hence, were considered to be adrenergic. Despite the lack of extrinsic nerves to the transplants, few principal neurons received cholinergic synapses, the origin of which is uncertain to date.Supported by a grant from Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (Un 34/4)Dedicated to Professor H. The effects of single and repeated LH-RH injections at 120 min intervals on female rat LH gonadotrophs and on pituitary and serum LH levels were investigated using electronmicroscopy and radioimmunoassay. A temporary stimulation of granule release, of protein and new granule synthesis and of the accumulation of lysosomal structures was found in LH cells after the first LH-RH injection. The temporary stimulations were massively enhanced after the second injection. These consecutive yet in their time-sequence overlapping processes account for the initial depletion of secretory granule content (3--15 min after LH-RH injection), for the subsequent regranulation and accumulation of granules above control levels (60--120 min after injection) and also for the reduction in the number of granules to control levels (150 min after LH-RH injection and thereafter). Increased polymorphic lysosomal structures are believed to be responsible for this reduction of excess granules. The amount of assayable pituitary and serum LH generally corresponds with the morphological changes observed in LH-gonadotrophs, thus further substantiating the above observations. A schema which summarizes the observed morphological and hormonal changes in their time-sequence in response to LH-RH stimulation depicts the short-term regulation of secretory processes in female gonadotrophs.  相似文献

Kinocilia of epidermal sensory cells in fixed marine Turbellaria often terminate as flattened biconcave discs. The distal part of the ciliary axoneme curves back upon itself forming a 360 degree loop which is enveloped by the plasmalemma. In living animals this structure can be induced by the addition of sodium cacodylate, monobasic sodium phosphate, dibasic sodium phosphate, sucrose, calcium chloride, or formaldehyde to the sea water. Specimens treated with sodium chloride, glutaraldehyde, or osmium tetroxide do not show modified cilia. In animals prepared for EM at low temperature and with a buffered hypotonic fixative less kinocilia are modified than in animals treated with a buffered iso- or hypertonic fixative and at a higher temperature. It is assumed that the unusually shaped cilia, described as "paddle cilia" or "discocilia" in other invertebrates, do not represent a genuine but an artificial structure.  相似文献

The maximum biomass in iron-limited photosynthetic batch cultures of chlorella increased as the logarithm of the iron concentration. The growth yield from iron (Y x/Fe) showed a marked inverse relation to the specific growth rate. The maximum biomass yield, g dry biomass/g iron consumed, was 7.5x103 with specific growth rate 0.108 h-1; the minimum was 0.79×103 with specific growth rate 0.145 h-1. The maximum specific growth rate in the exponential phase of Fe limited cultures varied as the initial Fe concentration. Summary Somatostatin-containing cells have been demonstrated by immunocytochemistry in semithin sections of the pancreatic islet of the teleost fish, Xiphophorus helleri. Summary Neurointermediate lobes from pituitaries of the frog, Rana berlandieri forreri (Rana pipiens, sensu lato), were maintained in organ culture in media with and without serum for up to six months. The cultured tissues were examined periodically by light microscopy and transmission electron microscopy and by bioassay of the melanophore-stimulating hormone (MSH) secreted and present in the culture media. Light-microscopic observations revealed a high degree of preservation of the pars intermedia at four weeks with isolated areas of some glands maintaining histological integrity for the entire six months. Similarly, at the ultrastructural level the cells appeared morphologically intact and to be actively synthesizing and secreting hormone. Bioassays showed the glands to be continuously secreting MSH; however, larger yields of hormone were obtained in media lacking serum. No significant ultrastructural differences between cells grown in the presence or absence of serum were detected. The difference in concentration of MSH between the two groups therefore apparently results from enzymatic degradation of the hormone by the serum. Organ culture of the vertebrate neurointermediate lobe may provide a unique method for the production of large quantities of MSH and for the study of other melanotropic and opiate peptides as they may be synthesized and secreted by the pars intermedia.  相似文献

Summary The marrow cavity of the rat tibia was mechanically evacuated and autoimplanted to the subcutaneous tissue. The regenerative process which restored the integrity of marrow stroma and hemopoiesis, was morphometrically evaluated in whole mount of tibia. Following evacuation, the clot filled the cavity. The granulation tissue then appeared and expanded, penetrating and replacing the clot. The fibroblasts of the granulation tissue differentiated into osteoblasts forming osteoid bone. Within its interstices, the primordial marrow consisting of loose connective tissue and vascular sinuses appeared and hemopoiesis resumed. Expansion of hemopoiesis resulted in the resorption of bone and within three weeks the tibial cavity was restored to the pre-evacuation state.Autoradiography indicated that the labeling index was initially high in fibroblasts and osteoblasts but was subsequently reduced while it increased in osteocytes, cells of Haversian canals, stromal and hemopoietic cells of marrow. The finding is in disagreement with the view that the regenerative process originates from the Haversian canal. When the label was introduced on day 4 post-operatively, it subsequently appeared in osteocytes, cells of Haversian canal, stromal elements of the marrow, but not in the hemopoietic cells.
