采用营养液水培,研究了根际低氧胁迫下外源亚精胺对两个抗低氧能力不同的黄瓜(Cucumis sativus)品种(‘中农8号’和‘绿霸春4号’)根系中多胺含量和超氧化物歧化酶(SOD)、过氧化物酶(POD)、过氧化氢酶(CAT)活性的影响。结果表明,外源亚精胺能显著提高低氧胁迫下黄瓜幼苗根系中亚精胺和精胺含量,降低腐胺含量,同时,根系中SOD、POD、CAT活性也相应提高,使得幼苗鲜重和干重明显增加;单纯低氧处理及外源亚精胺的加入,抗低氧能力较强的品种‘绿霸春4号’较抗低氧能力较弱的品种‘中农8号’根系中抗氧化酶活性高。黄瓜幼苗根系中较高的亚精胺、精胺含量和较低的腐胺含量可能有利于提高抗氧化酶活性,增强幼苗的低氧逆境适应能力。 相似文献

The heat tolerance of wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) and radish (Raphanus sativus L. var. minor) cenoses exposed to elevated and damaging air temperatures (35°C for 20 h, 45°C for 7 h) under photoculture conditions at various levels of photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) was assessed by measuring characteristics of the slow induction curve of chlorophyll fluorescence at 682 and 734 nm and the CO2 exchange rate. Irrespective of the illumination level, the exposure of the cenoses to 35°C did not induce irreversible changes in the plant photosynthetic apparatus. The lowest extent of damage to wheat and radish cenoses exposed to 45°C was observed at 150 W/m2 of PAR, whereas the highest damage of the plants was observed at an illumination level that was close to the compensation point of the cenose photosynthesis (50–70 W/m2 of PAR at air temperature of 24°C). Viability index proved to be the most sensitive characteristic, compared to other characteristics, which were determined by measuring the slow phase of fluorescence induction at 682 and 734 nm. In the cenoses studied, the pattern of changes in the viability index in response to a stress factor was close to the changes in the photosynthetic rate. 相似文献

To alleviate the environmental contamination due to persistent chemical usage, approaches to integrated pest management were conceived. In this perspective, microbe–microbe interactions such as mycorrhizal relationships with other soil microbiota in the rhizosphere like the plant growth‐promoting fungi (PGPF) are particularly important. Better understanding of the interactions between beneficial microbial groups is imperative in the identification of possible synergistic or antagonistic effects to improve their practical usage as biocontrol agents or biofertilizers. In this study, the consequence of co‐inoculation of the arbuscular mycorrhizal fungus (AMF) Glomus mosseae (Gm) and the PGPF Fusarium equiseti (isolates GF18‐3 and GF19‐1) in terms of plant growth enhancement, root and rhizosphere colonisation, and development of anthracnose (Colletotrichum orbiculare) and damping‐off (Rhizoctonia solani AG‐4) diseases in cucumber plants was investigated under controlled conditions. The amendment of either GF18‐3 or GF19‐1 singly or in combination with Gm indicated a general tendency to significantly enhance the shoot dry weight (SDW) of cucumber plants at 4 weeks after planting (WAP). Similarly, Gm alone significantly enhanced SDW at 4 WAP. Gm showed a tendency to depress root colonisation by F. equiseti but such antagonistic effect was not observed in the rhizosphere soil. Both GF18‐3 and GF19‐1 significantly reduced percent root colonisation of Gm. However, these general tendencies may vary with the inoculum densities of AMF and PGPF. Both F. equiseti and Gm inoculated singly significantly increased percent of protection against anthracnose, but the combined inoculation was more effective in controlling the disease compared to single inoculation. The inoculation of the cucumber seedlings with GF18‐3, GF19‐1 or Gm, 6 or 12 days prior to damping‐off pathogen inoculation, increased percent of protection against damping‐off disease. This study shows that the co‐inoculation of F. equiseti and Gm resulted in additive effect on the suppression of anthracnose disease in cucumber. 相似文献

Abstract We tested the effect of root colonization of cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) by the arbuscular mycorrhizal fungus (AMF) Glomus mosseae on different parameters of a plant-thrips (Frankliniella occidentalis Pergande) interaction. In leaf disc bioassays, the feeding activity, the oviposition rate, the settling preference of adult females and the developmental time (first instar larva to adult) on leaves of mycorrhizal and non-mycorrhizal plants were studied. To distinguish between a nutritional effect through an improved phosphorous (P) status of the mycorrhizal plant and other effects caused by mycorrhization, non-mycorrhizal plants watered with a nutrient solution with (+P) or without P (?P) were included in the study. Mycorrhization did not affect any of the parameters on host acceptance tested, whereas on plants with a higher P-level the duration of the non-feeding stages (pronymphae, nymphae) of F. occidentalis was shortened, but all other developmental parameters were similar as in the control and the mycorrhizal plants. Our data indicate that the polyphagous thrips F. occidentalis is neither affected by mycorrhization of cucumber plants nor by enhanced P-levels. 相似文献

Mechanical perturbation (MP) applied unilaterally to cucumber ( Cucumis sativus L.) hypocotyls induced thigmotropic curvature toward the stimulus. Gravitropic or phototropic curvature of the hypocotyl was inhibited by symmetrical application of MP to both sides of the hypocotyl. When both MP and IAA were unilaterally applied simultaneously to the same side, the hypocotyls always bent toward the MP stimulus, as in thigmotropism alone. Thus, the exogenous IAA did not control the direction of curvature. Aminoethoxyvinyl glycine (AVG) blocked thigmotropism as well as gravitropism and phototropism, but promoted IAA-induced curvature. MP-stimulated ethylene evolution peaked about 4 h after MP, followed by a peak of thigmotropic curvature. For all tropisms more ethylene evolved from the stimulated side than from the other side of the hypocotyls. MP-induced ethylene acting as a growth inhibitor, auxin-transport inhibitor, and/or modulator of tissue sensitivity to auxin, may be involved in thigmotropism and MP-induced inhibition of various tropisms. Ethylene produced as a result of MP was not affected by the removal of cotyledons. This MP-induced ethylene was additive to that of phototropically or gravitropically stimulated ethylene. 相似文献

For sexual selection to be important in plants, it must occur at pollen load sizes typical of field populations. However, studies of the impact of pollen load size on pollen competition have given mixed results, perhaps because so few of these studies directly examined the outcome of mating when pollen load size was varied. We asked whether seed paternity after mixed pollination of wild radish was affected by pollen load sizes ranging from 22 to 220 pollen grains per stigma. We examined the seed siring abilities of 12 pollen donors across 11 maternal plants. Seed paternity was statistically indistinguishable across the pollen load sizes even though, overall, the pollen donors sired different numbers of seeds. This lack of effect of pollen load size on seed paternity may have occurred because fruit abortion and early abortion or failure of fertilization of seeds increased as load size decreased. Thus, failures of fruits and seeds sired by poorer pollen donors may keep seed paternity constant across pollen load sizes. 相似文献

Some species of the Lathyrus genus are among the most promising crops for marginal lands, with high resilience to drought, flood, and fungal diseases, combined with high yields and seed nutritional value. However, lack of knowledge on the mechanisms underlying its outstanding performance and methodologies to identify elite genotypes has hampered its proper use in breeding. Chlorophyll a fast fluorescence transient(JIP test), was used to evaluate water deficit(WD)resistance in Lathyrus genus. Our results reveal unaltered photochemical values for all studied genotypes showing resistance to mild WD. Under severe WD, two Lathyrus sativus genotypes showed remarkable resilience maintaining the photochemical efficiency, contrary to other genotypes studied.Performance index(PIABS) is the best parameter to screen genotypes with improved performance and grain production under WD. Moreover, we found that JIP indices are good indicators of genotypic grain production under WD. Quantum yield of electron transport(wEo) and efficiency with which trapped excitons can move electrons further than QA(c0)revealed as important traits related to improved photosynthetic performance and should be exploited in future Lathyrus germplasm improvements. The JIP test herein described showed to be an expeditious tool to screen and to identify elite genotypes with improved drought resistance. 相似文献
