岛屿动物中的性选择强度不高,其原因可能是由于岛屿种群的遗传变异性水平较低。本文作者检验了鸟类岛屿种群是否具有较低的遗传变异性、性选择强度大的种群是否具有较高的突变输入率(rate of mutational input),在鸟类岛屿种群中是否具有较低的性选择强度(可以根据配偶外父亲身份的频率来估计)。小卫星共有谱带系数(minisatellite band sharing coefficient)可确定无亲源关系个体之间的遗传变异性,对与遗传变异性有关的雄性个体的父亲(paternity)进行了成对比较以检验如下假说:在具有较多遗传变异的种群中,雌性个体更经常地进行配偶外交配。在小卫星谱带系数较低的鸟类种群中,配偶外父亲的频次较高。对岛屿和大陆鸟类进行的第二个比较分析表明:岛屿种群中的配偶外父亲频次较低,遗传变异性也较低,其部分原因在于突变输入(mutational input)减少。上述发现表明:(1)父亲确认程度(parternity)随遗传变异性的数量而增加;(2)在遗传变异性较大的种群中,突变率较高,性选择的程度更激烈;(3)岛屿种群中性选择的强度一般比大陆种群弱。这对于理解遗传变异性的空间变异、理解岛屿种群和其它隔离种群的保护问题有重要启示。  相似文献

珠海万山群岛共有维管植物176科,547属,972种(含栽培84种),其中蕨类植物21科27属35种,裸子植物6科8属11种,被子植物139科510属926种。万山群岛共有国家重点野生保护植物11种,均为Ⅱ级;广东省珍稀濒危植物4种;药用植物492种、材用树种约109种、观赏植物143种、饲料植物21种、纤维植物105种、淀粉植物62种、油脂植物81种、芳香植物72种、鞣料植物58种;此外,还有其他用途植物若干种。  相似文献

Records of demersal deep-sea fish assemblages in waters around the Falkland Islands (Patagonian shelf area) are rare. Twenty deep-water stations to the east and south of the Falkland Islands were sampled by commercial bottom trawl deployed in upper, middle and lower benthopelagic zones (depth range of approximately 500-1000 m). Forty-one species (22 families) of teleost fish were recorded, 10 species (two families) of elasmobranch and one species of agnathan. Different assemblages of fish were found to characterize each depth zone (e.g. Moridae in deeper waters, Bothidae and Rajidae in shallower waters), with diversity being greatest in the mid-zone and biomass greatest in the upper and lower zones. Some species occurred in all zones but showed depth-related abundance. Four species, namely the grenadiers Macrourus carinutus and Coelorhynchus fasciatus , the southern blue whiting Micromesistius australis , and the Patagonian toothfish Dissostichus eleginoides , accounted for 85% by weight of all fish caught. Quantitative sampling of selected species revealed depth-related variations in their population structure. Length-frequency analyses are presented for M. carinatus and D. eleginoides and show a tendency for larger individuals to inhabit deeper water. Discard rates from the commercial catch were sometimes high, particularly for the smaller species, raising concerns about the impact of a fishery on by-catch species. The potential for deep-sea fisheries in Falkland waters is discussed and further studies are suggested in the light of developing oil, gas and fishing industries. The presence of some invertebrate taxa is recorded.  相似文献

为更好了解和估算河口及岛屿生态系统大型底栖动物次级生产力的情况,以近岸两个典型生态系统河口-瓯江口、岛屿-洞头列岛为例,于2015年4月和10月在该海域进行大型底栖动物调查,采用3种Brey经验模型对大型底栖动物次级生产力进行估算,并分析次级生产力与环境因子的关系。结果表明:(1)以去灰干重(ash-free dry weight,AFDW)计,Brey经验公式估算瓯江口和洞头列岛海域年均次级生产力分别为0.48 g(AFDW)m~(-2)a~(-1)和0.70 g(AFDW)m~(-2)a~(-1),Brey模型估算瓯江口和洞头列岛海域年均次级生产力分别为0.51 g(AFDW)m~(-2)a~(-1)和1.55 g(AFDW)m~(-2)a~(-1),Brey模型估算瓯江口和洞头列岛海域年均次级生产力分别为0.25 g(AFDW)m~(-2)a~(-1)和0.99 g(AFDW)m~(-2)a~(-1)。(2)3种经验模型反映大型底栖动物年均次级生产力空间分布趋势一致:瓯江口海域有1高值区,位于瓯江口南部;洞头列岛海域有2高值区,分别位于洞头本岛东北部的三盘岛与花岗岛之间和东黄岛东南部的岛屿之间。(3)瓯江口海域大型底栖动物年均次级生产力主要贡献种为双鳃内卷齿蚕Aglaophamus dibranchis、长吻沙蚕Glycera chirori、异蚓虫Heteromastus filiforms、焦河篮蛤Potamocorbula ustulata、薄云母蛤Yoldia similis、圆筒原盒螺Eocylichna braunsi,它们对次级生产力的贡献率超54.2%;洞头列岛海域大型底栖动物年均次级生产力主要贡献种为双鳃内卷齿蚕、异蚓虫、薄云母蛤、绒毛细足蟹Raphidopus ciliatus、隆线强蟹Eucrate crenata、脑纽虫Cerebratulina sp.、红狼牙鰕虎鱼Odontamblyopus rubicundus,它们对次级生产力的贡献率超57.1%。(4)次级生产力与环境因子的相关性分析显示化学需氧量、悬浮物和表层沉积物中值粒径是影响瓯江口海域大型底栖动物年均次级生产力的重要环境因子,而环境因子与洞头列岛海域大型底栖动物年均次级生产力相关关系不显著。(5)瓯江口海域Brey经验公式与Brey模型估算结果基本一致,洞头列岛海域Brey经验公式与Brey模型估算结果基本一致。  相似文献

对海岛动物资源的本底调查和研究,可为更好地保护海洋和海岛生态系统提供重要的依据。2018年4月-2019年12月,利用样线法、铗夜法等对西沙群岛东岛、永兴岛等岛屿的鸟类、小型兽类资源进行了4次调查,结合历史记录数据对其物种组成和多样性变化进行了分析。调查共记录到小型兽类3种,臭鼩(Suncus murinus)见于林灌丛,褐家鼠(Rattus norvegicus)和黄胸鼠(R.flavipectus)见于房舍区;共记录到鸟类13目26科65种,其中国家Ⅱ级重点保护动物4种,新记录到鸟类29种;广布型鸟类34种,古北界鸟类20种,东洋界鸟类11种;冬候鸟28种,留鸟23种,旅鸟6种,夏候鸟5种,迷鸟3种;东岛鸟类物种数高于永兴岛,但多样性和均匀度均较低;雨季物种丰富度、多样性和均匀度均高于旱季;东岛为国家Ⅱ级重点保护动物红脚鲣鸟(Sula sula)中国唯一的繁殖地,应加强保护。与1974年和2005年报道的数据对比,本次调查记录的鸟类物种丰富度最高,留鸟物种数最多。结果反映西沙群岛小型兽类种类较少,主要分布在房舍区及其附近的林灌从;暗示小型兽类带入、扩散等可能与人为活动相关,其生态效应予以重视和长期监测。西沙群岛鸟类物种有丰富度较高、候鸟占比高、季节和年份间差异明显、留鸟物种数有所增加、为红脚鲣鸟唯一的繁殖地等特点。西沙群岛生态系统的完整性,对候鸟和留鸟的保护,尤其是红脚鲣鸟的保护十分重要,应予以重视。  相似文献

The invasive snake Hemorrhois hippocrepis colonized the island of Ibiza (Balearic Islands) in 2003 as stowaways inside trunks of olive trees imported for gardening. It has quickly spread since 2010, posing a threat to the island’s only remaining endemic vertebrate, the Ibiza wall lizard Podarcis pityusensis. We map the yearly expansion rate of the snake and estimate via transect surveys how severely it affects the distribution and abundance of the endemic lizard. As well, we surveyed 9 of 30 small lizard populations on islets surrounding Ibiza that have been isolated since the Last Glacial Maximum. Snakes had invaded 49% of Ibiza’s land area by 2018, and censuses show a critical contrast in lizard abundance between areas with and without snakes; almost all censuses in areas without snakes show lizard presence whereas nearly all censuses in areas with H. hippocrepis lack lizard sightings. Moreover, at least one subspecies previously thriving on one of the offshore islets has become extinct, and there have been several snakes recorded swimming between Ibiza and the surrounding islets. Therefore, lizard populations have been dramatically reduced or have vanished within the range of the snake, and our results quantitatively support upgrading this species’ threat level for extinction. This study can inform to programs to manage invasive snake populations and to conservation actions to recover the endemic lizard.  相似文献

We sequenced partial mitochondrial DNA from the cytochrome b gene (1143 bps) for 385 northern grass lizards (Takydromus septentrionalis) from 14 mainland and 14 island populations covering almost the lizard’s entire range to examine the influence of geographic barriers (mountain ranges and water bodies) on the diversification of lineages. Phylogenetic analyses revealed a detailed distribution of three evolutionary lineages (W, E and G). Lineage G included individuals exclusively from Guiyang, in the south‐western distributional limit. Lineage W included individuals from the central and western parts of the lizard’s range on the mainland. Lineage E included individuals from East China, both on the mainland and on islands in the East China Sea. Haplotypes from lineages W and E were co‐distributed in Chuzhou and Chibi. The averaged pairwise distance of 6.23% between these lineages indicated a Miocene‐Pliocene lineage‐split. Lineage E was further subdivided to three sublineages: E1 and E2 comprised of haplotypes from the Zhoushan Islands, and E3 included haplotypes from the eastern mainland, the Zhoushan Islands and two islands south of the Zhoushan Islands. Lineages W and E showed evidence of demographic extensions. The isolation caused by the last transgression (0.01 Ma) has not yet led to a significant genetic differentiation between mainland and island populations in East China. However, divergence among some small islands may be driven by the restriction of migration and genetic drift.  相似文献

Food Preference and Reproductive Plasticity in an Invasive Freshwater Snail   总被引:9,自引:1,他引:9  
The freshwater apple snail Pomacea canaliculata has become a major crop pest in southeast Asia and Hawai'i and threatens natural wetland habitats in these regions and elsewhere. Deliberately introduced as a potential human food resource, it has also been proposed as a possible biocontrol agent against aquatic weeds. Various factors may facilitate its rapid invasion of new areas; we focus on two: growth rate and food preference. Our field observations and laboratory experiments suggest that in Hawai'i P. canaliculata reaches reproductive maturity in 10 months or more, less time than in its native temperate and seasonal Argentina, where it takes 2 years, but longer than in parts of southeast Asia, where it may take as little as 2 months. This increased growth rate, and thence reproductive rate, probably facilitate rapid population growth. Although P. canaliculata is usually considered an indiscriminate generalist macrophytophagous feeder, laboratory experiments indicated preferences among the dominant plants at our field site and growth rate differences when constrained to feed only on one of these plants. Water hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes), a major invasive weed, was not preferred in food choice experiments, and snails offered only water hyacinth on which to feed did not differ in growth rate from unfed snails. Another important invasive weed, water lettuce (Pistia stratiotes), was also not preferred, but snails fed on it did grow, though not as quickly as those fed on green-leaf lettuce. Among the food plants offered in the experiments the native Vigna marina was the most preferred. Therefore, although a generalist, P. canaliculata exhibits some discrimination among food plants. We recommend that it not be introduced for use as a biological control agent for aquatic weeds.  相似文献

角质颚是头足类的主要摄食器官,蕴藏着大量的渔业生物学及生态学信息。根据2017年5—8月中国灯光罩网渔船于中国南海西沙群岛海域采集的860尾鸢乌贼样本,对其角质颚色素沉积等级进行了划分和判定,研究了鸢乌贼角质颚色素沉积等级变化与胴长、体质量、净重、性腺成熟度和角质颚外部形态参数等因子的关系。结果表明:鸢乌贼的角质颚色素沉积变化存在性别间显著性差异(P<0.05),雌性个体角质颚色素沉积速度快于雄性;色素沉积等级与胴长、体质量和净重均呈正相关,并随着性腺成熟度的增加而增加;雄性个体角质颚下颚除翼长外,其余各部色素沉积的速度均快于上颚各部;雌性个体上颚各部色素沉积速度均快于下颚。本研究为后续利用角质颚研究鸢乌贼渔业生物学和对该资源的有效开发及科学管理提供了基础。  相似文献

Drawing on the anthropology of technology, this article examines the introduction of a digital biometric voter registration for Solomon Islands 2014 national election. Four perspectives on biometric voting are brought into dialogue: (1) the technological particularities, strengths and shortcomings of biometric voting registration (BVR), (2) a global and international embrace of the technology for its perceived ‘universal’ tendency to secure identities, (3) efforts by the Solomon Islands state to showcase its political stability by means of BVR and (4) the ways village-based voters come to understand, interpret and re-imagine BVR as political technology. We show how, within the ethnographic context of North Malaita, debates surrounding BVR reveal a continued distrust and uncertainty in North Malaitans’ relationship with the Solomon Islands state and its representatives. Within the context of this uncertainty BVR is re-imagined as technology that aids voter integrity within rather than beyond patronage networks.  相似文献
