This study reports the performance of laboratory-scale constructed wetlands coupled with micro-electric field (CWMEF) planted cannas (Canna generalis) for heavy metal-contaminating wastewater treatment. The CWMEF had a better performance for heavy metal (HM) removal from wastewater than did the ordinary constructed wetlands (CWs). Owing to the stimulation of the suitable voltage and electrical exposure time, cannas may grew better and in fact assimilated more metallic ions in CWMEF than in CWs. The environmental conditions in CWMEF, such as the higher pH by electrolysis of water, the presence of aluminum ions by anodizing of aluminum, caused chemical precipitation, physical adsorption and flocculation of metallic ions. 相似文献

New roles for acyl-CoA-binding proteins (ACBPs) in plant development, stress responses and lipid metabolism 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
ACBPs are implicated in acyl-CoA trafficking in many eukaryotes and some prokaryotes. Six genes encode proteins designated as AtACBP1-AtACBP6 in the Arabidopsis thaliana ACBP family. These ACBPs are conserved in the acyl-CoA-binding domain, but vary in size from 92 amino acids (10.4 kDa) to 668 amino acids (73.1 kDa), and are subcellularly localised to different compartments in plant cells. Results from in vitro binding assays show that their corresponding recombinant proteins exhibit differential binding affinities to acyl-CoA esters and phospholipids, implying that these ACBPs may have non-redundant biological functions in vivo. By using knockout/downregulated and overexpression lines of Arabidopsis ACBPs, recent investigations have revealed that in addition to their proposed roles in phospholipid metabolism, these ACBPs can influence plant development including early embryogenesis and leaf senescence, as well as plant stress responses including heavy metal resistance, oxidative stress, freezing tolerance and pathogen resistance. In this review, recent progress on the biochemical and functional analyses of Arabidopsis ACBPs, their links to metabolic/signalling pathways, and their potential applications in development of stress tolerance are discussed. 相似文献

Plant metallothioneins (MTs) are extremely diverse and are thought to be involved in metal homeostasis or detoxification.
Thlaspi caerulescens is a model Zn/Cd hyperaccumulator and thus constitutes an ideal system to study the variability of these MTs. Two T. caerulescens cDNAs (accession: 665511; accession: 665515), that are highly homologous to type 1 and type 2 Arabidopsis thaliana MTs, have been isolated using a functional screen for plant cDNAs that confer Cd tolerance to yeast. However, TcMT1 has a much shorter N-terminal domain than that of A. thaliana and so lacks Cys motifs conserved through all the plant MTs classified as type 1. A systematic search in plant databases
allowed the detection of MT-related sequences. Sixty-four percent fulfil the criteria for MT classification described in Cobbett
and Goldsbrough (2002) and further extend our knowledge about other conserved residues that might play an important role in plant MT structure.
In addition, 34% of the total MT-related sequences cannot be classified strictly as they display modifications in the conserved
residues according to the current plant MTs’ classification. The significance of this variability in plant MT sequences is
discussed. Functional complementation in yeast was used to assess whether these variations may alter the MTs’ function in
T. caerulescens. Regulation of the expression of MTs in T. caerulescens was also investigated. TcMT1 and TcMT2 display higher expression in T. caerulescens than in A. thaliana. Moreover, their differential expression patterns in organs and in response to metal exposure, suggest that the two types

植物的金属抗性可通过避性和耐性途径获得。具有螯合能力的有机酸在植物的金属外部排斥(避性)机制和内部耐受(耐性)机制中均具有重要作用。在金属的外部排斥过程中,植物根系分泌有机酸,与金属离子形成稳定的复合体,降低土壤金属的移动性,达到体外解毒的目的。超积累型植物的内部耐受机制主要体现在,有机酸可与金属元素发生螯合作用,将离子态的金属转变成低毒或无毒的螯合态,从而降低细胞内金属离子的毒害效应。有机酸的种类受植物种类、金属类型等因素的影响。 相似文献

2005年5月,采集了淮河地区颍上八里河集群繁殖的夜鹭(Nycticorax nycticorax)和小白鹭(Egrettagarzetta)鸟卵共18枚,用原子吸收法测定了卵壳、内容物中重金属Cd、Pb、Cr的残留量。结果表明,所有卵壳样品中均检出一定水平的Cd、Pb和Cr残留量,夜鹭卵壳中重金属残留量为Pb>Cr>Cd,小白鹭卵壳中重金属残留量为Cr>Pb>Cd,卵壳中Pb和Cr残留量的种间差异都不显著,但Cd的种间差异显著;在2种鹭卵内容物中,Cr都被检出,在夜鹭卵内容物样品中,Pb只被部分检出,Cd在2种鹭卵内容物样品中都没有被检出,3种重金属在内容物中残留量的种间差异都不显著。2种鹭卵壳中Pb和Cd残留量极其显著地高于卵内容物,但Cr的这种残留分布上的差异不显著。本研究进一步证明卵壳可用作重金属污染物的指示物,监测和评价湿地生态系统中重金属的污染状况。 相似文献

水稻广陆矮四号和威优35盆栽试验的结果表明,施钾使叶绿体内基粒增多,Hill反应及光合磷酸化活力增强。分蘖末期在叶绿体反应液中添加KCl也可提高非环式光合磷酸化活力。适量施钾降低量子需要量可能与上述效应有关。钾使叶片超微结构改善:乳突大而多;硅化程度明显增加,故叶片更直立。叶水势及净光合率提高,两者呈直线正相关。灌桨期剑叶净光合率与谷粒产量呈直线正相关。 相似文献

The construction and use of two novel transposon(Tn)-delivery vectors is described. These vectors carry Inc.W or Inc.N broad-host-range transfer functions cloned next to the narrow-host-range replicon of pBR329. The host specificities of pSLX10 and pSLX23 both complement and extend the host specificities of existing Tn delivery vectors. Plasmids pSLX10 and pSLX23 were shown to transfer at high frequency in intergeneric matings. The lux genes which are present on each vector permit the visual monitoring of transconjugants which have retained a Tn element, but are devoid of plasmid molecules. pSLX10 and pLSX23 were efficiently used to generate a range of auxotrophic mutants in various strains of Pseudomonas as well as to clone genes from Serratia liquefaciens. These vectors may have general applicability to identify and clone genes in a wide range of Gram-negative bacteria. 相似文献

We investigated the composition of the vegetation in two former mining regions in Central Slovakia: Banská Štiavnica with
predominant Pb-Zn contamination and Staré Hory with a very high Cu content in the soil. Old heaps rich in heavy metals are
covered with specific vegetation. On the Cu-rich spoil heaps, species-poor plant communities with prevailing Agrostis stolonifera, Avenella flexuosa, Acetosella vulgaris, Arabidopsis arenosa, Silene dioica, and S. vulgaris occur. Species such as Agrostis capillaris, Acetosella vulgaris, Arabidopsis arenosa, and Thlaspi caerulescens appear frequently on Pb-Zn mine wastes. Several differences in the vegetation structure were detected between the Pb-Zn and
Cu mine heaps; higher amounts of vascular plants and fewer lichen species covered the Pb-Zn mine heaps. For the Cu mine heaps,
on the contrary a small number of vascular species but a high number and coverage of lichen species, especially Ceratodon purpureus and Cladonia arbuscula subsp. mitis were typical. 通过野外调查和室内分析,研究了云南阳宗海南北两区域自然生长的17种水生植物的生长状况及植物和对应水样、根区底泥中重金属(As、Zn、Cu、Cd、Pb)的含量。结果表明:植物长势良好,未发现受害症状。水体As严重污染,Pb轻度污染,Zn、Cu和Cd均未超标。9种沉水植物同时对As、Zn、Cu、Cd、Pb的富集系数(植物全株重金属含量与水中该元素含量的比值)远大于1,具有共富集特征。在平均含As0.175mg/L的水中,金鱼藻、黑藻、小眼子菜、八药水筛全株As平均含量分别为(150±7.3)、(179±35)、(92±31)、(265±21)mg/kg(干重),对As具有较强富集能力;对于8种湿生和挺水植物,北部采样点的喜旱莲子草、田栖稗、细叶小苦荬和长芒稗对As,长芒稗、细叶小苦荬、圆果雀稗、水蓼和风车草对Cd,海芋和圆果雀稗对Zn的富集系数(植物地上部重金属含量与底泥中该元素含量的比值)以及圆果雀稗对Cd和Zn转移系数(植物地上部重金属含量与根中该元素含量的比值)均大于1。聚类分析结果表明,金鱼藻、黑藻、八药水筛、小眼子菜、穗状狐尾藻5种水生植物同时对As、Zn、Cu、Cd、Pb具有较强的吸收和富集能力,在重金属复合污染水体修复中具有较大潜力。 相似文献
