冬小麦粒叶比杂种优势及遗传效应分析   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
用9个冬小麦品种按5×4不完全双列杂交设计组配20个杂交组合,对小麦粒叶比的杂种优势和遗传效应进行分析。结果表明,小麦粒叶比表现出一定的杂种优势;一般配合力和特殊配合力方差均达极显著水平,说明亲本的粒叶比差异及杂交互作均对F1代产生遗传差异,该试验中石6021、农大99260080等的一般配合力较大,石6021×农大99260080、鲁麦14×济南17等组合的特殊配合力较大,产生了较强的杂种优势;粒叶比遗传符合加性-显性遗传模型,但以加性效应为主,其遗传决定度达87.65%,狭义遗传力为64.71%;在高粒叶比品种选育上应重视高粒叶比亲本筛选利用和杂交后代的早代选择。  相似文献

Respiratory activity in hepatic mitochondria have been examined following administration of the carcinogen aflatoxin, (AFB1) to rats. Measurement in isolated mitochondria of respiration rates in presence of ADP (state 3) and after its depletion (state 4) revealed that these rates were not significantly altered in livers of rats obtained 4–8 hours after single injection of AFB1 (7 mg/kg of body weight). After 12–24 hours, however, a generalized inhibition in state 3 respiration rate and ADP phosphorylation rate had been evident with several FAD- and NAD-linked oxidizing substrates. But the ADP:0 ratio did not show any alteration. State 4 respiration rates, on the other hand, were increased remarkably (38–94% depending on substrate used), thereby recording in each case a decrease in respiratory control ratio (state 3:state 4 ratio), indicating probable damage to mitochondrial membrane as a result of AFB1 ingestion. This was also evident from greater basal ATPase and Mg2+-ATPase activities and low total ATPase activity. After 48–72 hours of AFB1 treatment, the respiratory rates as well as the ATPase activities returned to normal levels, suggesting probable recovery of mitochondrial functions from the toxic effects of AFB1. © 1997 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

A 105-day experimental trial was conducted to assess different levels of dietary Aleo vera extract supplementation on water quality parameters, proximate composition, growth performance and haematological parameters of fry Oreochromis niloticus. Four different percentages of dietary leaf extract powder of Aleo vera (ALE) with a basal feed, designated as, i.e., T0 (Control group; without ALE), T1 (1% ALE), T2 (2% ALE), and T3 (3% ALE). Fish fry was reared in concrete tanks (7.0 m, 1.6 m, 1.0: L, W, H; water volume 11.2 m3/tank), with an average initial weight 4.04 ± 0.03 g/ fry, and each treatment was triplicated. Fry was randomly distributed at a stocking rate of 450 individuals/ tanks. The water quality parameters revealed that temperature, pH, salinity, dissolved oxygen (DO) and nitrates were found in a promising range as given by FAO/WHO limits. However, the record values obtained for Electric Conductivity (EC), Total dissolved solids (TDS), and alkalinities were not found in all tanks' suitable range according to FAO/WHO limits. The results revealed a significant impact of different percentages of dietary ALE supplementation on fry's body composition and haematological parameters. Moreover, the final body weight, final body length, average daily weight gain (g), net weight gain (g) and specific growth rate (%) were significantly higher (p < 0.05) in T1 and T2 compared with T0 and T3 treatments. The poorest feed conversion ratio was recorded in the T2 group compared with other treatments. Thus, the current study provides information about the nutritional quality of Nile tilapia culturing in Pakistan.  相似文献

The present study investigated the water quality index (WQI) of the Kshipra river at Dewas, Madhya Pradesh, India, using native fish Labeo rohita, and plant Eichhornia crassipes. The temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, alkalinity, turbidity, and dissolved solids were found to be within the prescribed limits. However, heavy metals concentration exceeded the limit except for Cu and Zn. Their occurrence in river water was as follows: Ni > Fe > Cd > Cr > Mn > Zn > Cu. Among these heavy metals, Cd was found to be highly bioavailable, whereas Zn was the least bioavailable metal. Based on WQI, the water was found to be unfit for drinking, and the high WQI value was due to the presence of Cr and Cd. In fish tissues (muscle, liver, gut, gills, and kidney), the highest and lowest metal pollution index was found in gills (45.03) and kidneys (12.21), respectively. Bioaccumulation of these metals resulted in significant depletion of energy reserves (protein, glucose, and glycogen) and also altered hematological parameters. Moreover, liver function tests showed hepatic damage in the exposed fish. In-plant, both the bioaccumulation and mobility factor exceeded 1 for all these metals. On the other hand, the translocation factor was found to be beyond 1 for Fe, Ni, and Zn. These high values make this plant fit for phytoextraction of Mn, Fe, Cu, Zn, and Cd and phytostabilization of Cr in water. Moreover, consumption of L. rohita from the Kshipra River does not pose a non-cancer risk as the target hazard quotient was below 1, but it may pose cancer risk because of the presence of Cr in the range of 1.402 × 10?3 to 1.599 × 10?3.  相似文献

A Bayesian multivariate adaptive regression spline fitting approach is used to model univariate and multivariate survival data with censoring. The possible models contain the proportional hazards model as a subclass and automatically detect departures from this. The field of survival analysis emerged in the 20th century and experienced tremendous growth during the latter half of the century. The developments in this field that have had the most profound impact on clinical trials are the Kaplan-Meier (1958, Journal of the American Statistical Association 53, 457-481) method for estimating the survival function, the log-rank statistic (Mantel, 1966, Cancer Chemotherapy Report 50, 163-170) for comparing two survival distributions, and the Cox (1972, Journal of the Royal Statistical Society, Series B 34, 187-220) proportional hazards model for quantifying the effects of covariates on the survival time. The counting-process martingale theory pioneered by Aalen (1975, Statistical inference for a family of counting processes, Ph.D. dissertation, University of California, Berkeley) provides a unified framework for studying the small- and large-sample properties of survival analysis statistics. Significant progress has been achieved and further developments are expected in many other areas, including the accelerated failure time model, multivariate failure time data, interval-censored data, dependent censoring, dynamic treatment regimes and causal inference, joint modeling of failure time and longitudinal data, and Baysian methods.  相似文献

Summary A steep, oscillating tip-focused gradient in cytosolic free calcium ([Ca2+]c) has been implicated in pollen tube growth. Further understanding of the biological causes and consequences of these processes relies on the precise imaging of [Ca2+]c during the different growth phases. In this work, the minimum technical requirements for confocal [Ca2+]c imaging ofAgapanthus umbellatus pollen tubes were examined. A range of dyes, dye forms, and loading methods were compared. Non-ratio and ratio imaging were critically analysed, in terms of the detection of the [Ca2+]c gradient and its fluctuations over time. Both ratiometric and nonratiornetric methods detected relative changes in [Ca2+]c. However, visualisation of the [Ca2+]c gradient, with an accurate spatial definition, was only possible with ratiometric methods. The gradient observed in this study ranged from 1.8 M (tip) to 180–220 nM (basal level), within the first 4–10 m. Apical [Ca2+]c fluctuations with an amplitude between 415 nM and 1.8 M showed a period of 40 to 75 s. All protocols for dye-loading proved to have strengths and weaknesses. Thus, the choice of a dye and its loading procedure should consider the required imaging period, extent of sequestration, effect on cell performance and viability, ease of loading procedure, and aim of the study. This paper analyzes the power divergence estimators when homogeneity/heterogeneity hypotheses among standardized mortality ratios (SMRs) are taken into account. A Monte Carlo study shows that when the standard mortality rate is not external, that is it is estimated from the sample data, these estimators have a good performance even for small sample sets and in particular the minimum chi‐square estimators have a better behavior compared to the classical maximum likelihood estimators. In order to make decisions under homogeneity/heterogeneity hypotheses of SMRs we propose some test‐statistics which consider the minimum power divergence estimators. Through a numerical example focused on SMRs of melanoma mortality ratios in different regions of the US, a homogeneity/heterogeneity study is illustrated.  相似文献

Understanding the source of pollution in a stream is vital to preserving, restoring, and maintaining the stream’s function and habitat it provides. Sediments from highly eroding streambanks are a major source of pollution in a stream system and have the potential to jeopardize habitat, infrastructure, and stream function. Watershed management practices throughout the Cleveland Metroparks attempt to locate and inventory the source and rate the risk of potential streambank erosion to assist in formulating effect stream, riparian, and habitat management recommendations. The Bank Erosion Hazard Index (BEHI), developed by David Rosgen of Wildland Hydrology is a fluvial geomorphic assessment procedure used to evaluate the susceptibility of potential streambank erosion based on a combination of several variables that are sensitive to various processes of erosion. This protocol can be time consuming, difficult for non-professionals, and confined to specific geomorphic regions. To address these constraints and assist in maintaining consistency and reducing user bias, modifications to this protocol include a “Pre-Screening Questionnaire”, elimination of the Study Bank-Height Ratio metric including the bankfull determination, and an adjusted scoring system. This modified protocol was used to assess several high priority streams within the Cleveland Metroparks. The original BEHI protocol was also used to confirm the results of the modified BEHI protocol. After using the modified assessment in the field, and comparing it to the original BEHI method, the two were found to produce comparable BEHI ratings of the streambanks, while significantly reducing the amount of time and resources needed to complete the modified protocol.  相似文献

Aminopeptidase A (APA; EC 3.4.11.7) is a transmembrane metalloprotease with several functions in tumor angiogenesis. To investigate the role of APA in the process of ischemia-induced angiogenesis, we evaluated the cellular angiogenic responses under hypoxic conditions and the process of perfusion recovery in the hindlimb ischemia model of APA-deficient (APA-KO; C57Bl6/J strain) mice.Western blotting of endothelial cells (ECs) isolated from the aorta of APA-KO mice revealed that the accumulation of hypoxia-inducible factor-1α (HIF-1α) protein in response to hypoxic challenge was blunted. Regarding the proteasomal ubiquitination, a proteasome inhibitor MG-132 restored the reduced accumulation of HIF-1α in ECs from APA-KO mice similar to control mice under hypoxic conditions. These were associated with decreased growth factor secretion and capillary formation in APA-KO mice. In the hindlimb ischemia model, perfusion recovery in APA-KO mice was decreased in accordance with a significantly lower capillary density at 2 weeks. Regarding vasculogenesis, no differences were observed in cell populations and distribution patterns between wild type and APA-KO mice in relation to endothelial progenitor cells.Our results suggested that Ischemia-induced angiogenesis is impaired in APA-KO mice partly through decreased HIF-1α stability by proteasomal degradation and subsequent suppression of HIF-1α-driven target protein expression such as growth factors. APA is a functional target for ischemia-induced angiogenesis.  相似文献
