本研究对位于云南滇西北的明永冰川地区暖温带、中温带和寒温带三个不同垂直气候带中可培养低温细菌的多样性进行了研究。利用四种不同培养基对该地区可培养低温细菌进行了分离纯化,共得到细菌37 513株,根据菌落形态特征分为了391种,其中LB培养基分离到99种,Organic培养基分离到78种,PSG培养基分离到96种,PYGV培养基分离得到118种,可以看出寡营养培养基PYGV分离得到的细菌种类多于LB和Organnic等富营养培养基,表明PYGV针对冰川地区细菌的分离与鉴定更为合适;通过革兰氏染色和扫描电镜观察表明大部分菌株为革兰阴性杆菌;对已分离得到的优势菌进行了16S rRNA基因测序并构建系统发育树,分析得出:假单胞菌属(Pseudomonas)、耶尔森氏菌属(Yersinia)和黄杆菌属(Flavobacterium)在明永冰川不同垂直气候带上均有分布,其中假单胞菌属最多占据35%;而寡养单胞菌属(Stenotrophomonas)是寒温带上特有的菌属。本研究证明明永冰川地区垂直气候带中可培养低温细菌多样性非常丰富,也为下一步了解这一特殊地理生态环境下微生物的群落演替规律、研究冰川环境中微生物群落如何响应气候变化提供了参考。  相似文献

1. Some characteristics of the photosynthesis and primary production of benthic and planktonic algal communities were investigated in a littoral zone covered with gravel in the north basin of Lake Biwa, paying special attention to the recent development of filamentous green algae (FGA) in the benthic algal community.
2. Pmax (maximum gross photosynthesis rate) values of the benthic algal community (0.1–1.2 mg C mg chl. a −1 h−1) obtained from photosynthesis–irradiance (P–I) curves were lower than those of the planktonic algal community (2.4–11.5 mg C mg chl. a −1 h−1). This is apparently a result of the high degree of self shading in the benthic algal community and its low turnover as compared with that of the planktonic algal community.
3. Relatively high Ik values (150–200 μmol photon m−2 s−1) were observed in the benthic algal community only in June–July when a FGA, Spirogyra sp., was abundant. This reflected a photosynthetic characteristic of the Spirogyra itself, in which photosynthesis was saturated at high light intensity.
4. The FGA community established in the layer between planktonic and sessile (benthic algae except for FGA) algal communities. It brought about extraordinarily high organic matter production in the littoral zone at the expense of production in the sessile algal community.  相似文献

The ground crickets Allonemobius fasciatus and A. socius meet in a mosaic zone of overlap and hybridization stretching from the East Coast to at least Illinois. To test whether male calling song differences were enhanced in sympatry, we analyzed the songs of crickets from inside and outside the zone of overlap along two transects. No evidence of calling song displacement was found in A. socius males from populations within the zone of overlap. On the other hand, A. fasciatus displayed calling song displacement in three populations. Our results are consistent with the hypothesis that the selective pressure exerted by the challenge from a related species is frequency dependent. While not a conclusive demonstration, the observed shifts in calling song are strongly suggestive of reproductive character displacement.  相似文献

Hybridization between incipient species is more likely to produce sterile or inviable F1 offspring in the heterogametic (XY or ZW) sex than in the homogametic (XX or ZZ) sex, a phenomenon known as Haldane's rule. Population dynamics associated with Haldane's rule may play an important role in early speciation of sexually reproducing organisms. The dynamics of the hybrid zone maintained by incomplete hybrid inferiority (sterility/inviability) in the heterogametic sex (a ‘weak’ Haldane's rule) caused by a Bateson–Dobzhansky–Muller incompatibility was modelled. The influences and interplays of the strengths of incompatibility, dispersal, density‐dependent regulation (DDR) and local adaptation of incompatible alleles in a scenario of short‐range dispersal (the stepping‐stone model) were examined. It was found that a partial heterogametic hybrid incompatibility could efficiently impede gene flow and maintain characteristic clinal noncoincidence and discordance of alleles. Density‐dependent regulation appears to be an important factor affecting hybrid zone dynamics: it can effectively skew the effects of the partial incompatibility and dispersal as measured by effective dispersal, clinal structures and density depression. Unexpectedly, local adaptation of incompatible alleles in the parental populations, which would be critical for the establishment of the incompatibility, exerts little effect on hybrid zone dynamics. These results strongly support the plausibility of the adaptive origin of hybrid incompatibility and ecological speciation: an adaptive mutation, if it confers a marginal fitness advantage in the local population and happens to cause epistatic inferiority in hybrids, could efficiently drive further genetic divergence that may result in the gene becoming an evolutionary hotspot.  相似文献

Microbial communities at soil-stream interfaces may be particularly important in regulating amounts and forms of nutrients that leave upland soils and enter stream ecosystems. While microbial communities are thought to be responsible for key nutrient transformations within near-stream sediments, there is relatively little mechanistic information on factors that control microbial activities in these areas. In this study, we examine the roles of dissolved organic carbon (DOC) vs. particulate organic carbon (POC) as potential controls on rates of bacterial productivity (measured as incorporation of [3H]thymidine into bacterial DNA) and amounts of bacterial biomass (measured as fatty acid yield) in sediments along a transect perpendicular to a soil–stream interface. We hypothesized that spatial patterns in bacterial productivity would vary in response to strong and persistent patterns in pore-water concentrations of DOC that were observed along a soil-stream transect throughout a 2-year period. Our results did not support the existence of such a link between pore-water DOC and bacterial productivity. In contrast, we found bacterial productivity and biomass were related to small-scale spatial variations in sediment POC on 3 of 4 sample dates. While our results indicate that total bacterial productivity in near-stream sediments is not consistently linked to spatial variations in pore-water DOC, it is likely that DOC and POC are not mutually exclusive and the relative contribution of DOC and POC to sedimentary microbes varies temporally and spatially in different riparian habitats. 工业园区是工业活动的重要载体,也是水污染控制与治理的焦点对象。运用物质代谢分析方法解析水中主要污染主导元素在工业园区的代谢途径、结构与动力机制,有助于寻求提高水资源利用效率和减缓水环境污染压力的举措。以江苏宜兴经济开发区为案例,基于物质流分析方法构建了工业园区的磷代谢网络,详细解析了工业系统和污水处理模块的磷代谢途径和通量。研究表明,印染、食品加工和机械(磷化)行业是宜兴经济开发区的主要磷排放源;企业自备处理设施除磷效果不佳,磷去除率大约为60%,集中污水处理厂可以有效除磷,去除率约75%;生活污水磷去除率低;不经处理直接排入水体的降水给水体造成了较大的负荷,为34%。由此,建议企业完善简单的处理设施,污水处理厂提高企业纳管率,同时园区加强对生活污水、生活垃圾和企业固体排放物的管理。  相似文献

Summary There are many contradictory observations on the mechanohydraulic relation of growing higher plant cells and tissues. Graphical analysis of the simultaneous equations which govern irreversible wall yielding and water absorption has made more comprehensive the understanding of this relation when relative growth rate is plotted against turgor pressure. It suggests that some respiration-dependent and auxin sensitive process might regulate the difference of osmotic potential between cells and water source. Based on anatomical and electrophysiological knowledge of the pea stem xylem, we propose the wall canal system as the mechanism of respiration-dependent water uptake which is sensitive to auxin. This system consists of the xylem apoplastic walls, the xylem proton pumps, active solute uptake system and cell membranes. In the simplest case, third-order simultaneous differential equations are involved. Numerical analysis showed that net uptake of solutes enables water to be taken up against an opposing gradient of water potential. The behaviour of this wall canal system describes well the mechano-hydraulic relation of enlarging plant cells and tissues. A hybrid zone between two Brachionus plicatilis rotifer mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) lineages was recently described in the Iberian Peninsula between a pond (Santed 2) and a lake (Gallocanta). The patterns of mitochondrial and nuclear genetic variation observed suggested that gene flow is mainly male-mediated from the lake to the pond. Here we test two hypotheses: (a) that male-mediated gene flow occurs through assortative mating between individuals from these ponds, (b) that behavioural isolation occurs between the two mtDNA lineages. We isolated, reared and genotyped rotifer clones from resting eggs collected in the sediments of these and two other distant ponds. We devised a quick, inexpensive RFLP method to discriminate between B. plicatilis and its sibling species B. ‘Manjavaeas’ and between both mtDNA B. plicatilis lineages. Behavioural no-choice tests using new-born, virgin males and females were performed between five clones. B. ‘Manjavacas’ and B. plicatilis were reproductively isolated. B. plicatilis clones did not show evidence of reproductive isolation, regardless of their mtDNA lineage, except Santed 2 males, which discriminated strongly against Gallocanta females. These results could help to explain the discrepancies between mitochondrial and nuclear genetic variation reported in the two populations.  相似文献
