改革开放以来,随着珠江三角洲经济的高速发展同时,该区人口大幅增长,对资源、环境的压力不断增大,制约着该区社会经济的持续发展。本文分析了近年来该区的人口时空变化情况及其与经济发展之间的互动关系,指出人口增长使该区土地资源和森林资源人均占有量进一步降低,大气和水环境污染加重。因此,解决人口问题是实现珠江三角洲可持续发展的关键。严格控制人口。合理利用资源,优化产业结构,增加环保投资和加强区域整体协调是珠江三角洲实现可持续发展的基本对策。  相似文献

桃是我国重要的果树种类,分布十分广泛,在水果生产中排第四位,但适合南方栽培的品种却稀少。该研究通过资源调查在广西大学标本园内的一棵台湾早熟蜜桃大枝上发现一个芽变新种质,命名为‘五月红'',并进一步对其主要生物学特性、植物学性状以及果实经济性状等进行观测分析,同时还通过SRAP分子标记检测与母株台湾早熟蜜桃的差异性。结果表明:‘五月红''芽变新种质成熟期比台湾早熟蜜桃提前20 d左右,5月上中旬成熟,果变大,核变小,可食率提高,且颜色均匀,可溶性固形物含量显著提高,保持了台湾早熟蜜桃需冷量低、品质优良和风味极佳的优点,属于特早熟优质种质资源; 通过琼脂糖电泳检测SRAP扩增组合引物me9/em5在‘五月红''DNA样品中能够扩增到1 200 bp大小的特异性条带,表明‘五月红''在DNA遗传水平上与母株台湾早熟蜜桃发生了变异,属于新的特早熟种质资源。‘五月红''芽变新种质的发现将为选育适合南方栽培的特早熟桃品种提供重要材料,有助于优化不同熟期品种的栽培结构,进而促进南方桃种植产业经济效益的提高。  相似文献

Removing redundant germplasm from collections is one of the options for genebanks to increase the efficiency of their genetic resource management. Molecular characterisation of germplasm is thereby becoming more and more important to verify suspected duplication. AFLPs were used to characterise 29 flax accessions of material derived from research activities (hereafter termed ’’breeder’s line”). Based on similar accession names, the breeder’s lines could be classified into three series (’M 25’, ’Ru’ and ’Rm’) that were expected to contain redundancies. In addition, 12 reference cultivars were analysed. A total number of 144 polymorphic bands (59.8%) were scored among the 164 individuals investigated. In general, relatively high levels of intra-accession variation were found, even for the cultivars examined. This finding was not in line with the low outcrossing rates reported for flax. A cluster analysis grouped the ’Ru’ and ’Rm’ series together, indicating their close genetic relationship. An analysis of molecular variance (AMOVA) showed a significant group effect (fibre/oil flax) only for ’M 25’, explaining 34% of the variation observed within this series. For the cultivars 40.5% of the variation was distributed among accessions within groups and all pairwise comparisons were significantly different, except for one case. Both for the series of breeder’s lines and the cultivars the major part of the variation was distributed among individuals within accessions. This component constituted 80.7% and 83.6% of the total variation for the ’Ru’ and ’Rm’ series, respectively. Pairwise comparisons of accessions were performed by AMOVA in order to identify redundant germplasm. Stepwise bulking of accessions until all remaining accessions were significantly different showed that the 29 accessions of breeder’s lines could be reduced to 14. Only a small negative effect of this bulking approach on the among-population component of variance was observed, showing a reduction of 2.6%. Ecosystem vulnerability is a major concern for management purposes, especially when directed toward conservation and sustainable exploitation. We estimate the relative vulnerability of selected marine-ecosystems in the Gulf of Mexico through simulation experiments based on trophic models. The same perturbation pattern was applied to different functional groups at different trophic levels. Perturbation consisted of increasing biomass extraction for a single group up to 98% at a constant rate over 50 years. The ratio Ascendency to Capacity of Development, A/C, was estimated as a measure of ecosystem order. The maximum negative difference respect to the initial A/C represents the gain of entropy. The slope of the relationship between entropy gained and the trophic level provides an estimate of the relative vulnerability of the ecosystem. This was applied to five ecosystems in the Gulf of Mexico: Florida coral reef; Mexican coastal lagoon, Terminos Lagoon; and three continental shelves, the northern Gulf of Mexico, USA; Yucatan and the Campeche Sound, Mexico. The pattern of vulnerability among ecosystems is related to ecosystem complexity. The coral reef exhibited a lower slope, corresponding to higher vulnerability, which is related to higher connectivity, production efficiency, and net ecosystem production. Increasingly higher slopes, corresponding to lower vulnerability, followed a gradient from the coral reef to the continental shelves to the least vulnerable system, the coastal lagoon. Middle trophic levels contribute to higher vulnerability. This interpretation is supported by the concept of energy flows within trophic networks. The relevance of these findings for management is discussed.  相似文献

Aim

Communities contain more individuals of small species and fewer individuals of large species. According to the ‘metabolic theory of ecology’, the relationship of log mean abundance with log mean body size across communities should exhibit a slope of −3/4 that is invariant across environmental conditions. Here, we investigate whether this slope is indeed invariant or changes systematically across gradients in temperature, resource availability and predation pressure.

Results

We found that the size–abundance relationship across all sampled phytoplankton communities was significantly lower than −3/4 and near −1 overall. More importantly, we found strong evidence that the environment affects the slope: it varies between −0.33 and −0.93 across interacting gradients of temperature, resource (phosphorus) supply and zooplankton predation pressure. Therefore, phytoplankton communities have orders of magnitude more small or large cells depending on environmental conditions across geographical locations.

Conclusion

Our results emphasise the importance of the environmental factors' effect on macroecological patterns that arise through physiological and ecological processes. An investigation of the mechanisms underlying the link between individual energetics constrain and macroecological patterns would allow to predict how global warming and changes in nutrients will alter large-scale ecological patterns in the future.  相似文献

Belowground life relies on plant litter, while its linkage to living roots had long been understudied, and remains unknown in the tropics. Here, we analysed the response of 30 soil animal groups to root trenching and litter removal in rainforest and plantations in Sumatra, and found that roots are similarly important to soil fauna as litter. Trenching effects were stronger in soil than in litter, with an overall decrease in animal abundance in rainforest by 42% and in plantations by 30%. Litter removal little affected animals in soil, but decreased the total abundance by 60% in rainforest and rubber plantations but not in oil palm plantations. Litter and root effects on animal group abundances were explained by body size or vertical distribution. Our study quantifies principle carbon pathways in soil food webs under tropical land use, providing the basis for mechanistic modelling and ecosystem-friendly management of tropical soils.  相似文献

Urbanization is increasing worldwide, with major impacts on biodiversity, species interactions and ecosystem functioning. Pollination is an ecosystem function vital for terrestrial ecosystems and food security; however, the processes underlying the patterns of pollinator diversity and the ecosystem services they provide in cities have seldom been quantified. Here, we perform a comprehensive meta-analysis of 133 studies examining the effects of urbanization on pollinators and pollination. Our results confirm the widespread negative impacts of urbanization on pollinator richness and abundance, with Lepidoptera being the most affected group. Furthermore, pollinator responses were found to be trait-specific, with below-ground nesting and solitary Hymenoptera, and spring flyers more severely affected by urbanization. Meanwhile, cities promote non-native pollinators, which may exacerbate conservation risks to native species. Surprisingly, despite the negative effects of urbanization on pollinator diversity, pollination service measured as seed set is enhanced in non-tropical cities likely due to abundant generalists and managed pollinators therein. We emphasize that the richness of local flowering plants could mitigate the negative impacts of urbanization on pollinator diversity. Overall, the results demonstrate the varying magnitudes of multiple moderators on urban pollinators and pollination services and could help guide conservation actions for biodiversity and ecosystem function for a sustainable future.  相似文献

贝母为传统中药,中国药典(1990)收载了川贝母(Fritillaria cirrhosa D.Don.)、暗紫贝母(F. unibracteata Hsiao et K.C.Hsia)、甘肃贝母(F.przeuxalskii Maxim ex Batak.)、梭砂贝母(F.delapayiFranch.)、浙贝母(F.thambergii Miq.)和平贝母(F.ussuriensis Maxim).等8种。最近对四川、甘肃、新疆、湖北、浙江和江苏等省区的药源调查结果表明,各地药用的贝母有25个种和变种,其中最常用的有暗紫贝母、甘肃贝母、梭砂贝母、伊贝母、新疆贝母、托理贝母、平贝母和湖北贝母。20余种贝母所含生物碱的TLC和HPLC分析结果表明各种贝母所含生物碱有一定区别,并与产地有关,产于湖北、浙江和江苏省的种类都含有去氢贝母碱,大多含贝母碱和异贝母碱;产于四川、甘肃和新疆的种类都含有西贝素和去氢梭砂贝母碱,大多含茄次碱,产于四川的种类都含去氢川贝碱,产于新疆的种类都含梭砂贝母碱。本研究为建立贝母的品质评价方法和开发药用资源提供了科学依据。  相似文献

Synopsis A comparison was done between growth in Atlantic salmon,Salmo salar, parr from natal rivers and small tributaries in the subarctic River Teno watercourse in northern Finland (70° N, 28° E). Salmon do not spawn in these tributaries but juveniles enter the brooks from their spawning rivers. Parr from these brooks (age groups 1 + and 2 +) were larger, so were their recorded annual growth increments, than those caught simultaneously in the River Teno. First year growth was also better in brook parr, although both groups had spent their first year in the main river. The brook water temperature was lower than that in the main rivers through-out the growing season. On the other hand, drifting food resources were more abundant in brooks. It has been suggested that better growth and a longer residence in fresh water result in the larger smolts being produced in the brooks relative to the main river. Differences in habitat selection and subsequent differences in the smolt age and size of fish from the same place of origin reflect the distinct life histories of the salmon in the River Teno.  相似文献

Nostoc flagelliforme, which is distributed in arid or semiarid steppes of the west and west-northern parts of China, has been used by the Chinese as a food delicacy and for its herbal values for hundreds of years. However, the resource is being over-exploited and is diminishing, while the market demands are increasing with the economic growth. This review deals mainly with the Chinese studies on the ecology, physiology, reproduction, morphology and culture of this species in an attempt to promote research and development of its cultivation technology.
