Carbon fluxes from a tropical peat swamp forest floor   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3  
A tropical ombrotrophic peatland ecosystem is one of the largest terrestrial carbon stores. Flux rates of carbon dioxide (CO2) and methane (CH4) were studied at various peat water table depths in a mixed‐type peat swamp forest floor in Central Kalimantan, Indonesia. Temporary gas fluxes on microtopographically differing hummock and hollow peat surfaces were combined with peat water table data to produce annual cumulative flux estimates. Hummocks formed mainly from living and dead tree roots and decaying debris maintained a relatively steady CO2 emission rate regardless of the water table position in peat. In nearly vegetation‐free hollows, CO2 emission rates were progressively smaller as the water table rose towards the peat surface. Methane emissions from the peat surface remained small and were detected only in water‐saturated peat. By applying long‐term peat water table data, annual gas emissions from the peat swamp forest floor were estimated to be 3493±316 g CO2 m?2 and less than 1.36±0.57 g CH4 m?2. On the basis of the carbon emitted, CO2 is clearly a more important greenhouse gas than CH4. CO2 emissions from peat are the highest during the dry season, when the oxic peat layer is at its thickest because of water table lowering.  相似文献

本文研究了比哈小爪螨5个温度梯度的实验种群生命表.结果表明15 ℃时内禀增长率和周限增长率均最小,分别为0.0235和1.0238,种群倍增时间最长(29.47 d);35 ℃时内禀增长率和周限增长率均最大,分别为0.3069和0.3592,种群倍增时间最短(2.26 d),说明高温有利于该螨种群的增长.25 ℃时净增殖率最大(56.30).35 ℃的世代生长周期最短(11.97 d).15 ℃时其寿命最长(98.90±20.77 d),35 ℃时寿命最短(19.00±3.11 d).最高平均产卵量71.60粒/雌和最高日平均产卵量4.10粒/雌/天均在25 ℃时出现.15 ℃时平均产卵量最低(8.80粒/雌),日平均产卵量仅有0.34粒/雌/天.最大日产卵量出现在35 ℃时(12.00粒/雌/天).  相似文献

The objective of our study was to assess thepotential of the egg parasitoid Anagrusatomus L. (Hymenoptera: Mymaridae) for controlof the greenhouse leafhopper Empoascadecipiens Paoli (Homoptera: Cicadellidae). Theegg-adult development time, survivorship andreproduction of A. atomus were evaluatedat four constant temperatures (16, 20, 24 and28°C). Developmental time ranged from33.6 days at 16°C to 13.3 days at 28°C. Based on a linear regression ofdevelopment rate on temperature the lowerthreshold was estimated at 8.39°C. Anagrus atomus required 263.2 degree-days tocomplete its development from egg to adult. Theegg-adult survival rate and the sex ratio weresignificantly lower at 28°C than at theother three temperatures tested. The intrinsicrate of increase (r m) variedsignificantly between all four temperatures.The potential of A. atomus to attackdifferent host ages was additionallyinvestigated. Host eggs were parasitizedthroughout their development but rate ofparasitism was reduced in host eggs older thansix days. The number of eggs parasitized waspositively density dependent but the rate ofparasitism decreased with increasing hostdensity. A maximum rate of parasitism of 62.5%was recorded. The potential impact of the eggparasitoid on the population dynamics of E. decipiens is discussed.  相似文献

松毛虫狭颊寄蝇(Carcelia matsukarehae)是松毛虫重要的寄生天敌之一,在控制松毛虫自然种群增长中起重要的作用.本文在15℃、18℃、22℃、25℃、29℃、32℃6个恒温,相对湿度为70%~85%,光照为12:12(L:D)的条件下研究了松毛虫狭颊寄蝇的生态学特性.结果表明,松毛虫狭颊寄蝇的世代发育起点温度是5.23℃,积温为523.73日·度,成虫寿命在没有补充营养的条件下为1.3~8.06d,喂以30%蜜糖水,寿命可以从9.63d延长到36.42d,成虫产卵的最适温度为23.6℃,每雌最大产量为86粒.种群增长最适温度22~25℃.以近似方法计算22℃和25℃下实验种群繁殖特征生命表参数,在22℃,R0、T0、rc和λ值分别为24.89、37.33、0.086和1.089,在25℃时分别为20.01、32.38、0.09和1.10.22℃时种群最大LxMx出现在成虫羽化后第33~38天,25℃时的LxMx最大值出现在成虫羽化后第29~34天.  相似文献

川西地区岷江柏种群生命表与生存分析   总被引:14,自引:0,他引:14  
岷江柏 (CupressuschengianaS .Y .Hu)是国家II级保护植物 ,处于渐危状态 ,由于缺乏种群结构的研究限制了对该种的全面认识和有效保护。本文调查分析了岷江柏种群的年龄结构 ,编制了岷江柏种群的特定时间生命表 ,绘制了种群的存活曲线、死亡率曲线和消失率曲线 ,并用 4个生存函数对该种群进行了生存分析。结果表明 ,川西地区岷江柏种群处于中龄林阶段 ,种群存活曲线属Deevey III型 ,年龄结构呈增长型 ,死亡率曲线与消失率曲线变化趋势基本一致。在这一发育过程中有两个死亡高峰 ,一个出现在幼苗向幼树的过渡期(5~ 15a) ,环境胁迫是幼苗高死亡率的关键 ,另一个出现在从中龄向老龄过渡的阶段 (130~ 2 30a) ,环境制约以及人为砍伐是高死亡率的根本原因。种群生存分析表明 ,岷江柏种群累计死亡率单调增加 ,生存率单调下降 ,130年以后种群的累计死亡率均超过 95 % ,生存率都不足 5 % ,危险率超过了生存率 ;种群发育过程总体表现为前期增长 ,中期稳定 ,后期衰退。对大小结构与年龄结构的对比分析表明 ,目前广泛采用的大小结构代替年龄结构的分析方法对岷江柏这样的长寿慢生树种误差较大。  相似文献

Abstract:  The host plant-mediated impact of simulated acid rain (pH 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 5.6, and 6.8) on the behaviour, development, and reproduction of carmine spider mite, Tetranychus cinnabarinus (Boisduvals), were evaluated at 25°C in a series of laboratory trials. The results indicated that the adults of carmine spider mite prefer to aggregate on pH 4.0 acid rain-treated eggplant leaves. The developmental times of nymph, larva and the pre-oviposition period of the mite on kidney bean leaves were significantly affected by acid rain treatments. The developmental times for the immature stages ranged from 11.4 days on pH 4.0 acid rain-treated leaves to 12.7 days on other acid rain-treated leaves. The survival of immatures varied from 85.14% on pH 4.0 acid rain-treated leaves to 78.83% on deionized water-treated leaves (pH 6.8). The mites feeding on acid rain-treated leaves (pH 3.0–5.6) had significantly greater reproductivity and longevity than those feeding on deionized water-treated leaves. The average greatest reproductivity (74.6 eggs per female) and longest female longevity (8.9 days) were recorded on pH 4.0 acid rain-treated leaves. Accordingly, the intrinsic rate of increase ( r m ) for the mite on pH 4.0 acid rain-treated leaves was the highest. Jackknife estimates of r m varied from 0.201 on pH 4.0 acid rain-treated leaves to 0.158 on pH 5.6 acid rain-treated leaves. The results implied that the population growth of the mite were enhanced by application of acid rain (pH 3.0–5.6) on host plants.  相似文献

濒危植物太白红杉种群年龄结构及其时间序列预测分析   总被引:30,自引:0,他引:30  
为了阐明太白红杉(Larix potaninii var.chinensis)种群的年龄结构和未来发展趋势,合理保护现有资源,在太白山地区调查了 29个样地(10 m×10m),对处于不同生境的 5个种群的年龄结构、静态生命表和时间序列预测进行了分析。种群年龄结构分析表明,各种群个体数量主要集中于Ⅲ、Ⅳ、Ⅴ、Ⅵ、Ⅶ龄级(个体数量比重占68.64%),幼、老龄个体数量较少。受所处生境条件影响,不同种群年龄结构特点不同:海拔较低的种群(B)由于水热条件适宜,林内有林窗出现,幼龄级个体数相对丰富;而其他种群由于幼龄个体严重缺乏,衰退趋势明显。太白红杉不同种群生命表和存活曲线的分析表明,尽管所处的生境差异较大,但存活曲线基本属于Deevey Ⅲ型,种群偏离典型存活曲线的程度与幼苗缺乏程度有关,一般V-Ⅸ龄级死亡率较高。时间序列分析表明,在未来20、60、100和200年中,各太白红杉种群均会呈现老龄级株数先增加后减少的趋势,种群稳定性维持困难。太白红杉种群年龄结构和动态趋势与银杉(Cathaya argyrophylla)等其他濒危植物比较,导致种群衰退的原因相似:在郁闭的林下种子萌芽和幼苗生长困难。应该利用太白红杉喜光、耐旱和中老年个体产种量丰富的特性,对现有太白红杉林分实行就地保护,合理抚育管理。低海拔地区,应适当间伐非目的树种  相似文献

对川西地区岷江柏(Cupressus chengiana S. Y. Hu)4个地理种群进行了调查,编制种群静态生命表并进行生存分析.结果表明,岷江柏4个地理种群的存活曲线都属于Deevey-Ⅲ型,死亡率与所对应的消失率变化趋势一致,并存在2个高峰.种群生存率均单调下降,累计死亡率单调上升,下降或上升的速度以理县种群最快,马尔康种群最慢;死亡率密度在幼苗期重合,并达到最大(0.05),但从幼苗级向幼树级过渡时迅速下降到0.01以下;种群的危险率曲线与其死亡率变化趋势一致,其中马尔康种群波动最小,小金种群波动最大.综合分析表明,岷江柏4个种群均有较强的自然更新能力,属增长型种群,但人为砍伐是其最重要的干扰因素.  相似文献

High-density olive orchards are increasing around the world, many of which may be potentially affected by salinity and waterlogging (hypoxia), two important stresses common in irrigated fields in arid and semi-arid climates. However, the response of olive to these stresses under field conditions is not well established. Therefore, our objective was to evaluate the vegetative growth response of young olive trees (Olea europaea L., cv. Arbequina) grown in a spatially variable waterlogged, saline-sodic field. We monitored the growth in trunk diameter of 341, 3-year-old olives between September 1999 and September 2000. Field contour maps were developed delineating soil salinity (ECa), relative ground elevation (RGE) and water table depth (WTD). Soil samples were also collected and analyzed for ECe and SARe in order to characterize the salinity and sodicity profiles and develop the ECa-ECe calibration equation. The infiltration rate (IR) of the crusted and uncrusted soil and the penetration resistance (PR) were also measured. The field was characterized by spatially variable ECe (2–15 dS m–1), SARe (3–40), RGE (–4 to +4 cm) and WTD (0.5–1.9 m, with corresponding ground water EC values between 12 and 6 dS m–1). Steady-state IR of crusted soil was only 7% of the uncrusted soil. Since the field was heavily irrigated by flooding, waterlogging conditions were related to low RGE values. Soil salinity was negatively correlated (R 2 = 0.83, P<0.001) with RGE (ponded water) and WTD (upward flux), due to the evapo-concentration of water and salts at the soil surface. Thus, inverted salinity profiles developed in high salinity areas. Fifty-five percent of the olives were dead 3.5 years after planted, and most of them were located in areas of high ECe (> 10 dS m–1), low RGE (< – 1.5 cm) and low WTD (< 1.2 m). The surviving trees had vegetative salinity tolerance values of ECe threshold = 4 dS m–1 and slope = –12% (i.e., percent decline per unit increase in ECe above the treshold), indicating that the Arbequina olive is moderately tolerant to salinity. The RGE and WTD thresholds for olive's survival were > 0.1 cm and > 1.6 m, respectively. Thus, very small changes in ground elevation had a significant effect on olive's survival or death. The coupled effects of salinity and waterlogging (hypoxia) stresses were most detrimental for olive's growth.  相似文献

应用作用因子生命表方法以及在此基础上提出的排除作用控制指数法评价了寄生蜂对美洲班潜蝇自然种群的控制作用,结果表明,底比斯釉姬小蜂,丽潜蝇姬小蜂,冈崎釉姬小蜂,异角姬小蜂,黄潜蝇姬小蜂,甘蓝潜潜蝇茧蜂和离潜蝇的种群数量将比原各群增长1.23,2.73,5.98,5.92和5.71倍,在春季菜豆,豇豆,丝瓜和黄瓜上第2代美洲斑潜蝇中,若排除寄生蜂作用因子后,美洲斑潜蝇在上述4种蔬菜上的种群数量将分别多增长2.73,2.87,2.24和1.89倍,寄生蜂对美洲班潜蝇3龄幼虫的控制作用大于1龄,2龄幼虫和蛹的控制作用;春季美洲斑潜连续世代中,第1,2代寄生蜂的控制作用较第3,4,5代低,寄生蜂有菜豆和豇豆上的控制作用比在丝瓜和黄瓜上高。  相似文献
