Heparin interferes with the inhibition of thrombin by α1-proteinase inhibitor (αPI). The inhibitory effect of heparin is due to its binding to thrombin. Other glycosaminoglycans and carboxyl-modified heparin do not have the same effect as heparin. The results indicate that there are similarities in the structural requirements in heparin, for anticoagulant activity and for the inhibition of αPI interaction with thrombin. 相似文献

An alternative environmentally benign support was prepared from chitosan–chitin nanowhiskers (CS/CNWs) for covalent immobilization of Rhizomucor miehei lipase (RML) to increase the operational stability and recyclability of RML in synthesizing eugenyl benzoate. The CS/CNWs support and RML-CS/CNWs were characterized using X-ray diffraction, fluorescent microscopy, and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. Efficiency of the RML-CS/CNWs was compared to the free RML to synthesize eugenyl benzoate for parameters: reaction temperature, stirring rate, reusability, and thermal stability. Under optimal experimental conditions (50°C, 250?rpm, catalyst loading 3?mg/mL), a twofold increase in yield of eugenyl benzoate was observed for RML-CS/CNWs as compared to free RML, with the former achieving maximum yield of the ester at 62.1% after 5?hr. Results demonstrated that the strategy adopted to prepare RML-CS/CNWs was useful, producing an improved and prospectively greener biocatalyst that supported a sustainable process to prepare eugenyl benzoate. Moreover, RML-CS/CNWs are biodegradable and perform esterification reactions under ambient conditions as compared to the less eco-friendly conventional acid catalyst. This research provides a facile and promising approach for improving activity of RML in which the resultant RML-CS/CNWs demonstrated good operational stability for up to eight successive esterification cycles to synthesize eugenyl benzoate. 相似文献

Abstract: To understand the risk of resistance and the possible mechanisms of resistance to abamectin in B-type Bemisia tabaci (Gennadius) better, a resistant strain of B. tabaci was selected in the laboratory and cross-resistance pattern and resistance mechanisms to abamectin were investigated. The NJ-Abm strain of B. tabaci was derived from a field population (NJ) collected in Nanjing, China in 2002 with 18 generations of selection with abamectin in the laboratory. Compared with the unselected NJ strain, the selected NJ-Abm strain developed 14.5-fold resistance to abamectin and showed significant cross-resistance to emamectin benzoate (4.4-fold) and imidacloprid (3.4-fold), but no cross-resistance to fipronil. The oxidase inhibitor piperonyl butoxide (PBO) and glutathione S -transferase inhibitor diethyl maleate (DEM) produced significant synergism on abamectin in the NJ-Abm strain (with synergistic ratios of 3.9- and 4.1-fold respectively); however, the esterase inhibitor triphenyl phosphate (TPP) did not act synergistically with abamectin. Biochemical analysis confirmed that P450 monooxygenase activity and glutathione S -transferase activity of the NJ-Abm strain were elevated to 2.1- and 2.0-fold, respectively, compared with that of the NJ strain. This indicated that enhanced metabolism mediated by P450 monooxygenase and glutathione S -transferase is likely to be involved in abamectin resistance and cross-resistance to imidacloprid and emamectin benzoate in the NJ-Abm strain. 相似文献

Effect of fluorinated analogues of phenol and hydroxybenzoates on the anaerobic transformation of phenol to benzoate 总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4
The effects of fluorinated analogues on the anaerobic transformation of phenol to benzoate were examined. At 250 M 2- or 3-fluorophenol, phenol transformation was delayed. 2-Fluorophenol had no apparent effect on subsequent degradation of benzoate, but benzoate accumulated in the presence of 250 M 3-fluorophenol. In contrast, 4-fluorophenol at 2 mM had no effect on either phenol transformation or benzoate degradation. Phenol and 2-, or 3-fluorophenol were transformed simultaneously, but phenol was transformed more rapidly than either fluorophenol. Thus, fluorinated analogues of phenol did not prevent anaerobic transformation of phenol to benzoate. 2-Fluorophenol was converted to 3-fluorobenzoate, and phenol enhanced the rate and extent of its transformation. 3-Fluorophenol was transformed to 2-fluorobenzoate to a limited extent (3%) when phenol was present. 4-Fluorophenol was not transformed regardless of the presence of phenol. 3-Fluoro-4-hydroxybenzoate, a potential fluorinated intermediate product of para-carboxylation, was transformed rapidly to 2-fluorophenol and 3-fluorobenzoate, irrespective of the presence of phenol, indicating that both dehydroxylation and decarboxylation occurred. Initially, 2-fluorophenol and 3-fluorobenzoate were rapidly formed in an approximate molar ratio of 2 : 1. Once 3-fluoro-4-hydroxybenzoate was completely removed, the 2-fluorophenol, initially formed, was converted to 3-fluorobenzoate at a slower rate. Thus, phenol enhanced transformation of the fluorinated analogues, and the products of transformation suggested para-carboxylation. 3-Fluoro-2-hydroxybenzoate was not transformed in either the presence or absence of phenol, indicating that ortho-carboxylation did not occur.Abbreviations 3F4HB

Flowers recruit floral visitors for pollination services by emitting fragrances. These scent signals can be intercepted by antagonists such as florivores to locate host plants. Hence, as a consequence of interactions with both mutualists and antagonists, floral bouquets likely consist of both attractive and defensive components. While the attractive functions of floral bouquets have been studied, their defensive function has not, and field‐based evidence for the deterrence of floral‐scent constituents is lacking. In field and glasshouse experiments with five lines of transgenic Petunia x hybrida plants specifically silenced in their ability to release particular components of their floral volatile bouquet, we demonstrate that the emission of single floral‐scent compounds can dramatically decrease damage from generalist florivores. While some compounds are used in host location, others prevent florivory. We conclude that the complex blends that comprise floral scents are likely sculpted by the selective pressures of both pollinators and herbivores. 相似文献

We aimed to compare the effect of three estradiol benzoate (EB) doses on follicular wave emergence (FWE) and dominant follicle growth of suckled Nelore cows submitted to TAI (D0). On a random day of estrous cycle (D−10), multiparous (MULT; n=36) and primiparous (PRIM; n=20) suckled Nelore cows received an intravaginal progesterone (P4) device and were assigned in three groups. Cows in the EB-1 (n=20), EB-1.5 (n=15) or EB-2 (n=21) groups received, respectively, an im treatment with 1, 1.5 or 2 mg EB. A subgroup (n=10-13 cows/group) were subject to daily ovarian evaluations from D−10 to D0. On D−2, P4 devices were removed, and all cows received the same treatment: 1 mg estradiol cypionate, 0.53 mg sodium cloprostenol, and 300 IU eCG. Statistical analyses were performed considering only the main effects of treatment group and parity order. The proportion of cows with a synchronized FWE and the moment of the FWE did not differ (p>0.05) among the treatment groups (overall: 80% [28/35] and 4.1 ± 0.4 days); however, the FWE occurred earlier (p=0.007) in MULT (3.8 ± 0.2 days) than PRIM (5.1 ± 0.4) cows. The proportion of animals detected in estrus was greater (86% [31/36] vs. 70% [14/20]; p=0.02) and the dominant follicle was larger on D−2 (9.7 ± 0.3 mm vs. 7.8 ± 0.7 mm; p=0.006) and D0 (11.9 ± 0.4 mm vs. 10 ± 0.5 mm; p=0.008) in MULT than PRIM cows. In conclusion, the three EB doses presented similar efficiency to synchronize the FWE in suckled Nelore cows. Moreover, a delayed FWE and smaller dominant follicle is observed in PRIM cows, contributing to the reduced reproductive performance in this parity category when using similar TAI protocols of MULT cows. 相似文献

室内试验表明,阿维菌素及其2个衍生物对4种鳞翅目害虫小菜蛾、甜菜夜蛾、二化螟和棉铃虫幼虫的毒力由高到低依次是富表甲氨基阿维菌素、甲胺基阿维菌素苯甲酸盐和阿维菌素。2个衍生物的毒力分别是阿维菌素的9.5-65倍和4-15倍。二化螟蚁螟和小菜蛾二龄幼虫对阿维菌素及其2个衍生物很敏感,LC50为0.004-0.283 mg.L-1,显示出很高的毒力;甜菜夜蛾和棉铃虫对阿维菌素的2个衍生物敏感程度较高,LC50为1.017-8.108 mg.L-1,对阿维菌素的敏感性相对较低,LC50为18.091-65.992 mg.L-1。因此,田间防治甜菜夜蛾和棉铃虫时应尽量避免使用阿维菌素,而应选用2个衍生物,以达到高效、低毒的目的。 相似文献

Due to the properties of silver as an antimicrobial, our research group has synthesized many different silver carbene complexes. Two new silver N-heterocyclic carbene complexes derived from 4,5-dichloroimidazole and theobromine bearing methyl benzoate substituents were synthesized by in situ carbene formation using silver acetate as the base in the reaction. The new compounds were fully characterized by several methods including NMR spectroscopy and X-ray crystallography. Preliminary antimicrobial efficacy studies against Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, and Escherichia coli were conducted. The results of this study demonstrated antimicrobial efficacy of the two complexes comparable to silver nitrate, showing their potential for use in the treatment of bacterial infections. 相似文献

Sex steroids interfere with the pituitary-thyroid axis function, although the reports have been controversial and no conclusive data is available. Some previous reports indicate that estradiol might also regulate thyroid function through a direct action on the thyrocytes. In this report, we examined the effects of low and high doses of estradiol administered to control and ovariectomized adult female rats and to pre-pubertal females. We demonstrate that estradiol administration to both intact adult and pre-pubertal females causes a significant increase in the relative thyroid weight. Serum T3 is significantly decreased in ovariectomized rats, and is normalized by estrogen replacement. Neither doses of estrogen produced a significant change in serum TSH and total T4 in ovariectomized, adult intact and pre-pubertal rats. The highest, supraphysiological, estradiol dose produced a significant increase in thyroid iodide uptake in ovariectomized and in pre-pubertal rats, but not in control adult females. Thyroperoxidase activity was significantly higher in intact adult rats treated with both estradiol doses and in ovariectomized rats treated with the highest estradiol dose. Since serum TSH levels were not significantly changed, we suggest a direct action of estradiol on the thyroid gland, which depends on the age and on the previous gonad status of the animal. 相似文献
