Cyperus polystachyos is a hygrophilous, thermophilous and heliophilous plant with a punctiform distribution in southern Italy, where it is almost exclusively found on Ischia, an island in the Bay of Naples characterized by widespread volcanic hydrothermal activity. This species is a native of tropical and subtropical areas and there is evidence for ancient isolation events in the creation of its current distribution pattern. We have studied the historical literature available for this plant since 1800 and collected temporal and spatial presence data of this species in order to develop a habitat suitability map based on a GIS approach and using a multiple linear regression model. Moreover, we have used univariate and multivariate statistical analysis. The results show the importance of the environmental mosaic around fumaroles to preserve the species; urbanization and geothermal energy use of fumaroles in the past and the combination of abandonment of the typical agricultural system and the natural occurrence of reforestation in the present are the main causes of the decline in the number of populations.  相似文献

以水稻(Oryza sativa)等5种植物和水稻稻瘟病(Magnaporthe grisea)等6种植物病原真菌为试验对象,测定了碎米莎草(Cyperus iria)茎总生物碱对植物和病原菌的生物活性.结果表明,250~4000 μg mL-1的总生物碱对水稻种子的萌发无显著影响,对千金子(Leptochloa chinensis)幼苗的苗高有显著抑制作用.4000μmL-1的总生物碱对烟草(Nicotiana tabacum)、鳢肠(Eclipta prostrate)和车前草(Plantago asiatica)种子的萌发、烟草幼苗的苗高以及水稻、烟草和鳢肠幼苗的鲜重有显著抑制作用,相对较低浓度总生物碱对千金子种子萌发、千金子和车前草幼苗的鲜重以及5种植物幼苗的根长和苗高(烟草幼苗的苗高除外)有显著抑制作用.25~400 μg mL-1的碎米莎草茎总生物碱对小麦赤霉病菌(Fusarium gramblearum)的生长无显著影响,而对苹果轮纹病菌(Physalospora piricola)的生长有显著抑制作用,100~400μg mL-1的总生物碱对稻瘟病菌、油菜菌核病菌(Sclerotinia sclerotiovum)和番茄早疫病菌(Alternaria solani)的生长有显著抑制作用,200~400 μg mL-1的总生物碱对杨树溃疡病菌(Dothiorella gregaria)的生长有显著抑制作用,400μg mL-1的总生物碱对上述病原真菌的抑菌率分别为8.20%、74.87%、40.93%、60.91%、52.70%和16.28%.  相似文献

黄秋葵 (HibiscusesculentusL .)为锦葵科一年生草本植物 ,别名羊角豆、秋葵。原产非洲 ,欧美及东南亚热带地区广泛栽培 (马传先 ,1999;李正应 ,1993;翁文 ,1997;雪珍等 ,1999)。黄秋葵是一种营养保健型蔬菜 ,其花、叶、芽、果均可食用 ,种子富含油脂、蛋白质及钾、钙、铁、锌、锰等矿物质 ,晒干后既可用于提取油脂和蛋白质 ,还可作为咖啡的添加剂或代用品。花、种子和根均可入药 ,对恶疮、痛疖有疗效。黄秋葵的愈伤组织在一定条件下比较容易产生体细胞胚并再生成完整植株 ,故黄秋葵的组培快繁研究也可为胚胎学研究和人…  相似文献

This study compares estimates of the census size of the spawning population with genetic estimates of effective current and long-term population size for an abundant and commercially important marine invertebrate, the brown tiger prawn (Penaeus esculentus). Our aim was to focus on the relationship between genetic effective and census size that may provide a source of information for viability analyses of naturally occurring populations. Samples were taken in 2001, 2002 and 2003 from a population on the east coast of Australia and temporal allelic variation was measured at eight polymorphic microsatellite loci. Moments-based and maximum-likelihood estimates of current genetic effective population size ranged from 797 to 1304. The mean long-term genetic effective population size was 9968. Although small for a large population, the effective population size estimates were above the threshold where genetic diversity is lost at neutral alleles through drift or inbreeding. Simulation studies correctly predicted that under these experimental conditions the genetic estimates would have non-infinite upper confidence limits and revealed they might be overestimates of the true size. We also show that estimates of mortality and variance in family size may be derived from data on average fecundity, current genetic effective and census spawning population size, assuming effective population size is equivalent to the number of breeders. This work confirms that it is feasible to obtain accurate estimates of current genetic effective population size for abundant Type III species using existing genetic marker technology.  相似文献

 Juvenile hormones (JHs) are sesquiterpenoids that regulate metamorphosis and reproduction in most insect species. There has been one report of an insect JH in plants: JH III, methyl-10R,11-epoxy-3,7,11-trimethyl 2E, 6E-dodecadienoate, has been identified in two sedge species, Cyperus iria L. and C. aromaticus (Ridley) Mattf and Kük. This is the first report of callus and cell suspension cultures derived from C. iria. Farnesol and methyl farnesoate, two biosynthetic intermediates of JH III in insects, as well as JH III have been identified in suspension culture cell extracts by gas chromatography-mass spectroscopy. These cultures thus provide a useful in vitro model to investigate the biosynthesis of JH III in the sedge, C. iria. Seed samples of okra (Abelmoschus esculentus (L.) Moench) variety Arka anamika were subjected to hot water treatment at 42, 52 and 62°C for a period of 30 min and UV light treatment for 10, 20, 30 min at 28 ± 2°C. Their efficacy was tested against some seedborne fungal species. Among them, seeds under hot water treatment at 52°C for 30 min and UV light at 20 min were found to be more effective in the improvement of crop, both in greenhouse and field conditions. Ultimately, there was increase in the total number of leaves, fruits, length of the fruit, girth and biomass of the plants. Apart from these the total number of seeds per fruit, 1000 seed weight and ascorbic acid content were also found to be enhanced. These treatments also reduced the incidence of mycoflora in the seeds and thereby enhanced the seed germination percentage and vigour index of the seedlings.  相似文献

The secondary metabolites produced by Streptomyces sp. KA1-3, cultured on starch casein broth, was extracted by ethyl acetate and concentrated. Purification of the compound by thin layer chromatography lead to isolation of N-phenylpropanamide from one polar fraction. The structure of the herbicidal compound was elucidated on the basis of UV, FT-IR, mass and H1 NMR spectroscopy. The herbicidal activity of the isolate was tested against the weeds Cassia occidentalis L. and rhizome Cyperus rotundus L. by moist chamber technique and rolled towel paper assay method. Herbicidal activity of the bioactive compound N-phenylpropanamide was further evaluated under in vitro condition. The herbicidal compound showed 80% of seed germination inhibition in C. occidentalis L. and rhizome C. rotundus L. weed. The actinobacterium can be used as a source for bioherbicidal agent.  相似文献
