Previous studies have shown that variations in environmental conditions play a major role in explaining variations in plant species richness at community and landscape scales. In this study, we considered the degree to which fine-scale spatial variations in richness could be related to fine-scale variations in abiotic and biotic factors. To examine spatial variation in richness, grids of 1 m2 plots were laid out at five sites within a coastal riverine wetland landscape. At each site, a 5 × 7 array of plots was established adjacent to the river’s edge with plots one meter apart. In addition to the estimation of species richness, environmental measurements included sediment salinity, plot microelevation, percent of plot recently disturbed, and estimated community biomass. Our analysis strategy was to combine the use of structural equation modeling (path modeling) with an assessment of spatial association. Mantel’s tests revealed significant spatial autocorrelation in species richness at four of the five sites sampled, indicating that richness in a plot correlated with the richness of nearby plots. We subsequently considered the degree to which spatial autocorrelations in richness could be explained by spatial autocorrelations in environmental conditions. Once data were corrected for environmental correlations, spatial autocorrelation in residual species richness could not be detected at any site. Based on these results, we conclude that in this coastal wetland, there appears to be a fine-scale mapping of diversity to microgradients in environmental conditions. 相似文献

提高滨海湿地保护利用管理水平对于保护滨海湿地,维持海岸带生态系统平衡具有非常重要的意义。选择沿海辽宁、河北、天津等10省市作为研究区域,在综合考虑经济、社会和生态三方面影响因素的基础上,构建评价滨海湿地保护利用管理效率指标体系,运用层次分析法(AHP,Analytic Hierarchy Process)对指标体系进行优化处理,代入到非导向超效率SBM(Slack-Based Measurement)模型中计算得到2006—2015年各省市滨海湿地保护利用管理效率值。结果表明:2006—2015年沿海10省市滨海湿地保护利用管理效率评价值总体上呈现"两头高,中间低"的变化情况;在100个决策单元中,达到有效的决策单元占71%,无效决策单元占29%;滨海湿地保护面积不足和资金投入冗余是无效决策单元效率值低下的主要原因。在效率结果分析的基础上提出滨海湿地保护利用的管理建议。 相似文献

正确评估海涂湿地生态服务价值有助于加强人们保护海涂湿地的意识,为海涂湿地围垦生态补偿标准的制定提供依据。视价格"便宜"、"适中"和"昂贵"为模糊集,基于CVM法区间型数据建立了传统模糊统计模型、赋权模糊统计模型和三相划分模型,并以此评价了杭州湾国家湿地公园单位面积年生态系统服务价值。结果显示:3种方法得到的单价分别为10.28、10.38、9.76元m~(-2)a~(-1),三者一致程度较高,与国内沿海湿地价值比较接近。分析了"生态价值"概念客观上的"模糊性"引致模糊数学模型的合理性;采用"橄榄球"式赋权建立赋权模糊统计模型以克服传统模糊统计模型中对区间数据均匀赋权的不合理性,结果在隶属度函数的光滑性和拟合度上好于后者;第三,三相划分模型拟合出3个模糊集的隶属度函数,可以比较相同价格在不同模糊集中隶属度差异。建立的模型对于基于CVM法的生态资源价值评估具有借鉴意义。 相似文献

In ‘zonal’ vegetation, climatic factors are the main influence on growth and performance and the climate determines the vegetation type completely, which makes this vegetation dominant in the landscape. If vegetation is ‘azonal’ however, local stresses are assumed to have an overwhelming influence on plant performance and climatic influences will be minimal; typically, this vegetation occurs only in small patches in the landscape. In this study I ask whether wetland plant communities, as they are described for South Africa, are evenly distributed among different terrestrial vegetation types, to test whether they are zonal or azonal. Three contingency tables were construed based on the counts of wetland vegetation records, defined on three hierarchical levels (Main Clusters, Community Groups and Community) and their occurrence in the country (at the level of Biome, Bioregion and terrestrial vegetation type). An ‘azonality index’ was calculated as the sum of all Chi‐square values for each wetland vegetation type divided by the total number of records. The overall correlation between hydroperiod and the azonality index was very weak. At the finest level, terrestrial vegetation types were clustered on the basis of having similar combinations of wetland community types. Eighteen different ‘wetland ecoregions’ have been defined, on the basis of wetland vegetation types occurring within them. Instead of regarding wetland vegetation as azonal, it should rather be regarded as ‘intrazonal’, meaning that climate does have an impact but many vegetation types are widespread across climatic regions. The reason why community types in wetlands are widespread is due to the monodominance of a single widespread, often clonal, species. The different wetland ecoregions do not correspond to terrestrial biomes, so it is expected that wetland vegetation responds differently to climate than terrestrial vegetation. 相似文献

Aims The mechanisms of plant community assembly are hypothesized to vary at different stages of succession. Here, we explore the local assemblage structure of a herbaceous plant community at its early stage of succession in a supratidal wetland. Specifically, we assess the role of Chinese saltcedar (Tamarix chinensis), the lone dominant shrub species, in shaping the spatial structure and species composition in the local plant community, after landscape alteration.Methods We used the multivariate trend-surface analysis for analyzing the spatial structure of the community composition. A null model was also used to detect potential biotic interactions between species. Statistical significance was derived from a permutation test by randomizing the presence-absence matrix and functional traits independently. Sensitivity analysis by randomly selecting 50 subplots and repeating the null model tests was also done. Finally, rank correlation analysis was used to study the relationship between effect sizes and distance to nearest T. chinensis individuals.Important findings The herbaceous plant community was highly structured and shaped by the presence of T. chinensis. At local scale, two functional traits, plant height and leaf area, were found to be significantly convergent. Dispersal, environmental stress and interspecific competition played a trivial effect on the local community assembly. The facilitating effect of T. chinensis on the pioneering herbaceous plants, through acting as a wind shelter, was put forward as the dominant community assembly process. 相似文献

Theory predicts that the effects of regional richness on the richness of local communities may depend on the productivity, resource availability, and/or heterogeneity of local sites. Using the wetland plant communities of 50 independent streams as 'regions', we tested whether: (1) local richness in 1-m2 quadrats and 50-m stream segments was positively related to regional richness, even after environmental influences were considered; and (2) the effect of regional richness would interact with the effects of biomass, soil moisture, and/or heterogeneity on local richness. In models that explained up to 88% of variation in local richness, we found that richness at both local scales was positively related to regional richness, and that regional richness did not interact with any of the environmental gradients that also shaped local richness. We conclude that species availability from the regional pool may consistently enrich local communities, even while other constraints on local richness operate. 相似文献

在温室中建立红树林植物白骨壤模拟湿地系统,分别用正常(NW)、5倍(FW)和10倍(TW)浓度人工配置的城市污水每周定时定量对模拟系统污灌2次,用海水作对照(CL),持续1年。研究重金属Pb在湿地系统中的分布、迁移及其被净化的效果。结果表明:加入系统中的Pb主要存留于土壤子系统中,很少迁移到植物体和凋落物中:植物各器官中的Pb含量在根中最高;模拟系统对重金属。Pb的净化效果显著,各污水处理组分别为:NW组97.97%、FW组97.86%、TW组98.06%。根据物质平衡模型计算得土壤子系统。Pb的环境容量较大,因此整个模拟系统对Pb污染的承受力较大。 相似文献

通过在不同含水量 (田间持水量的 6 0 % :对照处理 ;田间持水量的 2 5 0 % :淹水处理 )和不同温度 (2 0℃ ,2 5℃ ,30℃ )条件下的室内培养 ,对江苏省里下河地区池杉湿地林土壤的二价铁离子 (Fe2 )浓度 ,氧化还原电位 (Eh)及 p H值进行了研究。结果表明 ,与对照处理相比 ,淹水土壤的 p H值和 Fe2 浓度明显提高 (P<0 .0 1) ,而 Eh值则明显降低 (P<0 .0 1)。在淹水条件下 ,高温处理的土壤 p H值和 Fe2 浓度明显高于低温处理土壤 (P<0 .0 1) ,Eh值则相反。研究表明 ,土壤 Eh值与 p H值之间存在着密切的 3次方程式关系 (P<0 .0 0 1)。就里下河地区湿地林土壤而言 ,Eh值下降至 2 0 0 m V以下时 ,才会有大量的铁元素被还原为Fe2 。 相似文献

Emission of N2O, N2, CH4, and CO2 from constructed wetlands for wastewater treatment and from riparian buffer zones 总被引:2,自引:1,他引:2
We measured nitrous oxide (N2O), dinitrogen (N2), methane (CH4), and carbon dioxide (CO2) fluxes in horizontal and vertical flow constructed wetlands (CW) and in a riparian alder stand in southern Estonia using the closed chamber method in the period from October 2001 to November 2003. The replicates’ average values of N2O, N2, CH4 and CO2 fluxes from the riparian gray alder stand varied from −0.4 to 58 μg N2O-N m−2 h−1, 0.02–17.4 mg N2-N m−2 h−1, 0.1–265 μg CH4-C m−2 h−1 and 55–61 mg CO2-C m−2 h−1, respectively. In horizontal subsurface flow (HSSF) beds of CWs, the average N2 emission varied from 0.17 to 130 and from 0.33 to 119 mg N2-N m−2 h−1 in the vertical subsurface flow (VSSF) beds. The average N2O-N emission from the microsites above the inflow pipes of the HSSF CWs was 6.4–31 μg N2O-N m−2 h−1, whereas the outflow microsites emitted 2.4–8 μg N2O-N m−2 h−1. In VSSF beds, the same value was 35.6–44.7 μg N2O-N m−2 h−1. The average CH4 emission from the inflow and outflow microsites in the HSSF CWs differed significantly, ranging from 640 to 9715 and from 30 to 770 μg CH4-C m−2 h−1, respectively. The average CO2 emission was somewhat higher in VSSF beds (140–291 mg CO2-C m−2 h−1) and at the inflow microsites of HSSF beds (61–140 mg CO2-C m−2 h−1). The global warming potential (GWP) from N2O and CH4 was comparatively high in both types of CWs (4.8 ± 9.8 and 6.8 ± 16.2 t CO2 eq ha−1 a−1 in the HSSF CW 6.5 ± 13.0 and 5.3 ± 24.7 t CO2 eq ha−1 a−1 in the hybrid CW, respectively). The GWP of the riparian alder forest from both N2O and CH4 was relatively low (0.4 ± 1.0 and 0.1 ± 0.30 t CO2 eq ha−1 a−1, respectively), whereas the CO2-C flux was remarkable (3.5 ± 3.7 t ha−1 a−1). The global influence of CWs is not significant. Even if all global domestic wastewater were treated by wetlands, their share of the trace gas emission budget would be less than 1%. 相似文献
