Crystal structures of cyclomaltohexaose (α-cyclodextrin) complexes with p-chlorophenol and p-cresol have been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies. The space group of the α-cyclodextrin–p-chlorophenol complex is P212121 with unit cell dimensions of a=15.299(3), b=24.795(5), c=13.447(5) Å, and that of the α-cyclodextrin–p-cresol complex is P21 with unit cell dimensions of a=7.927(7), b=13.568(7), c=24.54(1) Å, β=90.41(8)°. In spite of the similar structures of guest molecules, both complexes have different inclusion modes and packing structures. 相似文献

Suppression of Pythium ultimum by Biowaste Composts in Relation to Compost Microbial Biomass, Activity and Content of Phenolic Compounds 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
Seventeen composts from separately collected organic household waste plus one bark compost and one compost from grape marc were analysed for suppression of Pythium ultimum, phytotoxicity, microbial biomass and activity, substrate-induced respiration, extractible phenolic compounds and other physical and chemical parameters. Nine of the samples were mildly suppressive to P. ultimum, the others were conducive. The bark compost sample was strongly suppressive. Therefore of the examined composts, only the bark could be used to exert an economically relevant control of P. ultimum in horticultural media. A large part of the compost samples was slightly phytotoxic. Microbial biomass and SIR had only weak correlations with disease incidence. Microbial activity and content of extractible phenolics were positively correlated with disease incidence. None of the tested parameters were therefore suitable as a predictive test for suppression of P. ultimum with the compost samples used in this study. 相似文献

Various methods suited for the measurement of nitrate require its reduction to nitrite by cadmium under acidic or alkaline conditions. NG-Nitroarginine analogs have been shown to interfere with the measurement of nitrate by such assays. In the present work we show by gas chromatography−mass spectrometry that under alkaline reduction conditions the S-nitroso compounds S-nitrosoglutathione and S-nitrosohomocysteine but not S-nitroso-N-acetylcysteine and S-nitroso-N-acetylpenicillamine can considerably contribute to nitrate and thus interfere with its measurement. Our results suggest that S-nitroso compounds may interfere with the measurement of nitrate in methods requiring cadmium-catalyzed reduction of nitrate to nitrite. 相似文献

An aqueous extract of the twigs of Pyrus communis L. var. sativa (DC) DC. showed inhibitory effect against S-180. Compounds were isolated from the twigs of P. communis and eight of them were identified as nonacosane (Ⅰ), lupeol (Ⅲ), β-sitosterol (Ⅳ), betulin (Ⅴ), betulinic acid (Ⅵ), daucosterol (Ⅶ), hydroquinone (Ⅷ) and arbutin (Ⅸ) by MS, NMR, IR, UV and some chemical techniques. It was showed that the compounds Ⅲ, Ⅳ, Ⅴ, Ⅵ, Ⅷ and Ⅸ possessed some bacteriostatic activities on Escherichia coli, Salmonella typhi, Shigclla flexneri and Staphylococus aureus. The effect of some phenolic compounds on the activity of 6-phosphogluconate dehydrogenase from tobacco tissue cultures 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
Anodic polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis of extracts of cultures of tobacco tissue Nicotiana tabacum W-38 revealed the presence of two 6-phosphogluconate dehydrogenases (6PGD). The slow and the fast anodic migrating zones were designated I and II, respectively. After purification, enzymes from both zones exhibited no major differences in their affinity towards 6-phosphogluconate (6PG) or NADP+, and were found to have approximately the same pH optima and MWs (69 000–72 000). The coumarins scopoletin and esculetin showed some inhibitory effect on each isozyme at 0.4 mM. Below 0.3 mM, however, esculetin stimulated the activity of zone I when lower amounts of 6PG (S0.25) were used. The glucosylated compounds, scopolin and esculin, were much more inhibitory towards the 6PGDs than their respective aglycones. Ferulic, p-coumaric and caffeic acids seemed to have an inhibitory effect dependent on 6PG concentration. A larger inhibition was observed in each case at the lower 6PG levels used. Zone I activity appeared to be inhibited to a greater degree than zone II activity by 0.4 mM p-coumaric acid with low 6PG. Of the phenolic compounds tested, chlorogenic acid was most effective, completely inhibiting the enzyme activity at 0.4 mM. Of the non-phenolic compounds investigated, glucose 1,6-diphosphate inhibited both isoenzymes of 6PGD at lower 6PG concentrations. On the other hand, 2,3-diphosphoglycerate activated both isoenzymes up to 200% of their original activity. 相似文献

Chemosensory neurons of female fiddler crabs (genus Uca) display greater sensitivity to mixtures of food-related stimuli than do neurons in males. This phenomenon represents an
interesting contrast to other sex-specific systems, which tend to be in response to cues associated with mating and parental
care. This study examined the responses of chemosensory neurons in males and females to ten individual stimuli to determine
if sex-specific responses were restricted to a few key compounds, or if the heightened sensitivity of females was broadly
distributed. Neurons in males and females responded well to all stimuli, and although fiddler crabs are primarily herbivorous,
highly efficacious physiological stimulants included amino acids and amines as well as carbohydrates most closely associated
with plant material. The chemosensory neurons are characterized by broad tuning and relatively high response thresholds, when
compared to other crustaceans. Most importantly, the investigations revealed a robust pattern in which female neurons displayed
elevated responses to all stimuli. Tuning breadth was not shown to be sex-specific, nor were there detectable differences
in over-all response profiles. The most likely explanation for these patterns is that the broad sex-specificity in Uca is produced via fundamental alterations in cellular properties associated with chemosensory transduction.

本实验研究了饲料中添加乌贼肝粉和鱼浆蛋白对中华鳖抗氧化能力的影响。设计了3个实验组,对照组(白鱼粉组)、乌贼肝粉组和鱼浆蛋白组。3种实验饲料的营养成分相近,主要区别是乌贼肝粉组和鱼浆蛋白组的饲料中分别用乌贼肝粉和鱼浆蛋白取代了对照组饲料中5%的白鱼粉。用3种饲料分别养殖中华鳖(Pelodiscus sinensis)稚鳖8周,测定了稚鳖血清和肝组织的超氧化物歧化酶(SOD)活性、丙二醛含量(MDA)、总抗氧化能力(T-AOC)以及血清碱性磷酸酶(AKP)和溶菌酶(LZM)的活性。结果发现,乌贼肝粉组稚鳖血清和肝MDA含量显著低于对照组,T-AOC高于对照组;鱼浆蛋白组稚鳖血清和肝MDA含量、血清T-AOC与对照组没有显著差异,但肝T-AOC显著低于对照组。实验结果表明,饲料中添加5%的乌贼肝粉能提高稚鳖的抗氧化能力。 相似文献

The present study sought to evaluate the central nervous system (CNS) depressant, antioxidant, and cytotoxicity activity of methanol and aqueous extract of Trametes versicolor (METV and AETV). The CNS activity was assessed by the open field, hole-cross, forced swimming, thiopental sodium-induced sleeping time, hole-board, and rotarod tests in Swiss albino mice. For both extracts, a substantial decrease in locomotion was observed in open field and hole-cross tests. In addition, the molecular docking study has been implemented through Maestro V11.1. The higher dose of METV (400 mg/kg) and the lower dose of AETV (200 mg/kg) exhibited a significant decrease in immobility time in forced swimming test and increased prolongation of sleep in thiopental sodium-induced sleeping time test, respectively. In contrast, a moderate finding was observed for the hole-board and rotarod tests. Additionally, a significant DPPH scavenging assay and a high toxicity effect in brine shrimp lethality assay were observed. Besides, five phenolic compounds, namely baicalin, quercetin, catechin, p-hydroxybenzoic acid, and quinic acid, were used for the molecular docking study, whereas catechin demonstrated the highest binding affinity towards the targets. The findings conclude that the T. versicolor could be an alternative source for CNS anti-depressant and antioxidant activity. 相似文献
