Abstract. A mathematical model which describes the germination percentage dependency on time and temperature of a seed population was derived from the experimental results with a seed population of Amaranthus patulus Bertol. under sub-optimal temperature conditions (Washitani & Takenaka, 1984). The equation of the model which is a modified thermal time model is where G is germination percentage at a certain time after the start of imbibition ( t ) at a certain temperature ( T ), μ T 1 and σ T 1 are the mean and standard deviation of lower limit temperature among the seeds belonging to the seed population, and Tb, m , and A are the parameters characterizing the linear relationship between the rate and temperature, namely, Tb is the base temperature, m , the median of the required thermal time and A , a parameter determining the pattern of the variation of the required thermal time within seed population, respectively. The equation yields time courses for germination which are very similar to those observed by experiment.  相似文献

通过对镉超积累苋菜品种天星米铁转运蛋白基因( IRT1)的克隆、序列及表达分析,旨在为植物修复镉污染土壤奠定基础.依据同源克隆原理,通过RACE技术克隆苋菜IRT1基因及生物信息学方法分析基因序列结构和功能,Northern杂交研究基因表达.苋菜IRT1基因cDNA全长1135 bp,包含完整的阅读框,编码322个氨基酸.苋菜IRT1蛋白与已知铁转运蛋白相似性在53.70%-63.04%,具有铁转运蛋白典型的功能结构特征,即N端含有1个信号肽、氨基酸序列上具有完整的ZIP家族功能结构域( Pfam:Zip)和7个跨膜结构域(TMs).苋菜IRT1蛋白还具有1个COG0428超级家族(转运二价金属离子功能)、2个蛋白激酶C磷酸化位点和2个酪蛋白Ⅱ磷酸化位点.低铁胁迫时苋菜根中IRT1基因表达量增加,加镉处理没有改变IRT1基因表达量.因此,推断苋菜IRT1基因是ZIP家族的一员,具有转运二价金属离子功能,将基因在GenBank中注册,序列号为:GU363501,命名为AmIRT1.  相似文献

Abstract

This study assessed the effects of Pb (0, 200, 500, 1000?mg kg?1) and Cd (0, 5, 15, 30, 50?mg kg?1) on photosynthesis in Amaranthus spinosus (A. spinosus), as well as the potential for phytoremediation by pot-culture experiment. Exposure to Pb/Cd produced a concentration-dependent decrease in biomass and all photosynthesis parameters, except for non-photochemical quenching, which increased with the metal concentration. The metals accumulated more in roots compared to shoots. The bioconcentration factor (BCF) of Pb was <1 in shoots at all Pb levels, whereas the BCF was <1 in roots at all but the lowest concentration of Pb. Roots extracted Cd from soil at all treatments. The translocation factor of Cd was larger than that of Pb suggesting that Cd is more mobile than Pb in A. spinosus. Amaranthus spinosus displays a high tolerance for both Pb and Cd with regards to growth and photochemical efficiency, but it is more sensitive to Cd than Pb. Amaranthus spinosus accumulates Pb and Cd primarily in the roots and Cd is more bioconcentrated and translocated in comparison to Pb. This investigation shows that A. spinosus has good potential for phytoremediation of soils contaminated by low levels of Cd and Pb.  相似文献

采用水蒸气蒸馏法提取桉树油,通过GC-MS对其成分进行分析,以其中一种化学成分α-松油醇为代表,分别采用培养皿和盆栽试验研究其对反枝苋的化感作用。结果表明: 水蒸气蒸馏法提取桉树油的产率为0.04%,经GC-MS分析,在桉树油中共检测到92种化学成分。在培养皿条件下,α-松油醇对反枝苋的发芽和生长均具有明显的抑制作用,用量达到每皿5 和7.5 μL时,抑制率均达到100%。盆栽条件下,α-松油醇处理过的土壤会显著影响反枝苋的出苗率、地上鲜重和地上干重,浓度达到1.6 μL·cm-3时,抑制作用最大,其化感响应指数分别为-0.51、-0.62和-0.44,抑制率为51%、62%和44%。  相似文献

反枝苋水浸提液与挥发油对黄瓜根尖的影响   总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4  
采用悬空气法研究了在入侵植物反枝苋(Amaranthus retroflexus L.)水浸提液和挥发油作用下,黄瓜根缘细胞活性、根冠果胶甲基酯酶(PME)、根尖过氧化氢酶(CAT)、过氧化物酶(POD)、超氧化物歧化酶(SOD)以及丙二醛(MDA)含量的变化规律.结果表明:反枝苋水浸提液对黄瓜根的生长无显著性影响而挥发油显著抑制黄瓜根的生长,且随浓度增大抑制作用显著增强.PME活性随着水浸提液浓度的增大呈先上升后下降趋势,而随着挥发油浓度的升高呈现逐渐上升的趋势;水浸提液和挥发油均降低了对根缘细胞的存活率,这种抑制作用随浓度的增加而增大;随着处理液浓度增大,黄瓜根尖中MDA含量、CAT活性整体表现为增加,SOD活性先升高后降低,POD活性与对照差异不显著.反枝苋挥发油的化感效应大于水浸提液的化感效应.  相似文献

Abstract Plasticity of size and architectural traits, and their importance to reproductive fitness, were estimated in relation to nutrient availability in the annual Amaranthus albus . Seeds from seven field-collected genotypes were used to rear a first generation under uniform conditions. Seed families (inbred lines) from four first-generation plants per genotype were used to rear a second generation in a glasshouse for 10 weeks. Nine plants per family were regularly fertilized, while nine others were unfertilized. Size was estimated at 5, 8, and 10 weeks; architectural traits were recorded at 8 weeks (no. branches) and 10 weeks (no. branches and branch length). Fitness was assessed by the number of seeds per plant. Because traits were intercorrelated, size-scaled architectural traits were generated and allometric analyses performed. Genetic variation was analyzed for the second generation among inbred lines of the original genotypes, and among families within each genotype. For fertilized and unfertilized groups, early size (volume occupied at 5 weeks) and branch length per mass were significant determinants of fitness. The number of branches per size explained a smaller proportion of the variance in fitness. Genotype by treatment interaction was apparent for some traits, indicating genetic variation for plasticity, but plasticity of size did not change over ontogeny. Significant effects of genotype on size and architectural traits, and fitness, were detected mostly in the unfertilized group. Thus, selection is most likely to differentiate among genotypes in nutrient-poor environments. Lengthening of multiple branches increases seed output throughout the season, and genotypes with longer branches per unit mass have a selective advantage. Because early size is correlated with seed output, ontogenetic plasticity in response to improved soil resources allows opportunistic increases in fitness.  相似文献

A simple, efficient and reliable method is described for isolation of total DNA from young leaves of Amaranthus species. This procedure yields a high amount (600–800 µg DNA/g fresh leaf tissue) of good quality DNA free from contaminating proteins, polysaccharides, and coloured pigments. The DNA is suitable for digestion with several restriction endonucleases, preparation of Southern blots, and PCR amplification. The DNA has been successfully used for generating DNA fingerprint profiles and RAPD banding patterns in two species of Amaranthus. The procedure is suitable for processing of a large number of samples simultaneously.  相似文献

Abstract. Plant communities of trampled soil dominated by plants characterized by the C4-assimilation syndrome were investigated in Europe. These species, belonging to genera such as Chamaesyce, Amaranthus, Eleusine, Eragrostis and Setaria, are thermophilous, late-germinating, prostrate herbs or grasses. The centre of their distribution is in the (Sub)Tropics. A syntaxonomic revision of the phytosociological material from Europe (incl. the Macaronesian Archipelago) revealed three alliances: the Euphorbion prostratae from Spain, the Polycarpo-Eleusinion indicae from Italy, and Slovenian and Croatian Istria, and the Eragrostio-Polygonion arenastri from temperate regions of Europe. The latter two syntaxa are described as new. All three alliances belong to the order Eragrostietalia (class Stellarietea mediae). Vicarious (ecologically analogous) communities occur also in southern Africa, eastern Asia and North America. The communities studied in the present paper are considered to be an impoverished form of highly diversified trampled plant communities typical of (sub)tropical areas.  相似文献

The effect of ultraviolet-C (UV-C, mainly 254 nm radiation) and ultraviolet-B (UV-B, 290-320 nm) radiation on the photosynthetic electron transport reactions has been investigated. The rates of Hill activity mediated by ferricyanide and dichlorodimethoxy-p-benzoquinone (DCDMQ) were differently sensitive to UV-C but equally inhibited by UV-B. Replacement of water with diphenylcarbazide was ineffective in restoring the activity of dichlorophenol indophenol (DCPIP) Hill reaction in UV-B treated chloroplasts, but had significant effect in UV-C treated chloroplasts.
Photobleaching of carotenoids in the presence of carbonyl cyanide-m-chlorophenyl-hydrazone, an indicator of the photochemical reaction associated with the reaction centre of photosystem II, was suppressed and is paralleled by the changes in Hill activity only in UV-B-treated chloroplasts. Carotenoid photobleaching occurred even in UV-C treated chloroplasts showing no measurable Hill activity. UV-C and UV-B irradiation diminished variable fluorescence. With UV-B treated, but not with UV-C treated chloroplasts, an increase in the fluorescence yield was observed upon the addition of 3-(3,4-dichIorophenyl)-l,l-dimethylurea (DCMU) and/or Na dithionite.
Photosystem I activity was found to be unaffected by both UV-C and UV-B radiation at the fluences tested. Kinetics of P700 photooxidation and dark reversal in UV treated chloroplasts indicate that only the electron flow from photosystem II to photosystem I is impaired. It is concluded that while UV-B radiation inactivates specifically the photosystem II reaction centre, UV-C radiation acts at plastoquinone, the quencher Q, and the water oxidizing enzyme system.  相似文献
