Eu(NO3)3?5H2O and EuCl3?6H2O were allowed to react with bis(diphenylphosphino)alkane dioxides Ph2P(O)(CH2)nP(O)Ph2 (n = 2, 4, 6) to obtain polymeric and binuclear complexes. The prepared compounds were structurally characterized by X‐ray diffraction. Luminescence measurements (emission and excitation spectra, quantum yields, lifetimes) were compared with crystallographic data in order to find a relationship between luminescent properties of the Eu(III) complexes and their structures. The Eu(III) polymers, especially [Eu(dpphO2)2Cl2]+Cl}n, have shown extremely long luminescence lifetimes, up to 3.73 ms, as a result of a highly protecting hydrophobic shield. A novel blue‐emitting phosphor, Eu2+‐doping Al4B2O9, was prepared via a modified solid‐state reaction. Al4B2O9:Eu2+ nanoparticles with diameters varying in a range from 20 to 50 nm were obtained using urea as an auxiliary reagent at the optimum temperature of 850°C. The crystallization and particle sizes of Al4B2O9:Eu2+ were investigated using powder X‐ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Photoluminescence (PL) results showed that Al4B2O9:Eu2+ phosphor could be efficiently excited by the ultraviolet region from 240 to 410 nm, exhibiting bright blue emission. Further investigation on concentration‐dependent emission spectra indicated that the Al3.997B2O9:Eu2+0.003 phosphor exhibited the strongest luminescent, and the relative PL intensity decreased with increasing Eu2+ concentration due to concentration quenching. In addition, the concentration quenching for the one‐Eu‐site emission centers was caused by the electric multipole–multipole interaction. Copyright © 2010 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

The upconversion photoluminescence of Ho3+ ion sensitized by Yb3+ ion in Ho3+/Yb3+codoped Gd2O3 nanocrystals with and without Li+ is investigated in this paper. Strong fluorescence in the green (534–570 nm) and red (635–674 nm) regions of the spectrum has been observed, arising from the 5F4/5S25I8 and 5F55I8 transitions of Ho3+ ion, respectively. Yb3+ ion is considered to be a better sensitizer for catching enough pumping energy and transferring considerable energy to Ho3+ in the Ho3+/Yb3+system. The upconversion intensity emitted by Ho3+ is greatly enhanced when Li+ is added to the Ho3+/Yb3+ codoped Gd2O3 nanocrystals.  相似文献

Phosphors with composition Ca2ZnMoO6 were synthesized at temperatures of 800–1200°C using the solid‐state method. Analysis of X‐ray diffraction patterns of the Ca2ZnMoO6 powders did not reveal a double perovskite structure. When the synthesis temperature was equal to or higher than 800°C, the synthesized Ca2ZnMoO6 powders revealed a tetragonal structure (CaMoO4) rather than an orthorhombic structure (Ca2ZnMoO6) and the cubic structure (Sr2ZnMoO6) of a double perovskite. The ZnO phase was still observed at a synthesis temperature of 1200°C. The compositions of synthesized Ca2ZnMoO6 powders differed from the prepared powder, and the Ca2ZnMoO6 phosphors exhibited some important novel features. First, synthesized Ca2ZnMoO6 compositions could emit light as a phosphor no activators, called Ca2ZnMoO6 phosphors. Effect of synthesis temperature on luminescence properties of these Ca2ZnMoO6 phosphors was readily observed, and some important novel features and properties were noted. Second, the phosphors presented only one broad characteristic emission peak in the visible light region. Third, measurement of the chromaticity diagram of the Ca2ZnMoO6 phosphors revealed a white‐light source. Through analysis, we determined why the synthesized Ca2ZnMoO6 phosphors had just one broad characteristic emission peak.  相似文献

Eu3+‐doped 6LaPO4–3La3PO7–2La7P3O18 red luminescent phosphors were synthesized by co‐deposition and high‐temperature solid‐state methods and its polyphase state was confirmed by X‐ray diffraction analysis. Transmission electron microscopy showed the grain morphology as a mixture of rods and spheres. Luminescence properties of the phosphor were investigated and its red emission parameters were evaluated as a function of Eu3+ concentration (3.00–6.00 mol%). Excitation spectra of 6LaPO4–3La3PO7–2La7P3O18:Eu3+ showed strong absorption bands at 280, 395, and 466 nm, while the luminescence spectra exhibited prominent red emission peak centred at 615 nm (5D07F2) in the red region. CIE chromaticity coordinates of the 6LaPO4–3La3PO7–2La7P3O18:5%Eu3+ phosphor were (0.668, 0.313) in the red region, and defined its potential application as a red phosphor.  相似文献

A new pH‐dependent fluorescence probe 2,8‐bis((E)‐4‐([2,2′:6′,2″‐terpyridin]‐4′‐yl)styryl)‐6H,12H‐5,11‐methanodibenzo[b,f][1,5]diazocine (TBPTP) based on Tröger's base (TB) bound to terpyridine was designed and synthesized. Photophysical properties and titration experiments of TBPTP were investigated by absorption and fluorescence spectroscopy. TBPTP exhibited high sensitivity in an acidic environment with the working pH range 7.2–2.5, especially having a good liner response to pH changes in the range 2.5–4.3, which suggested that TBPTP is a good candidate for pH monitoring.  相似文献

The binary complexation of Am3+, Cm3+and Eu3+ with citrate has been studied at I = 6.60 m (NaClO4), pcH 3.60 and in the temperatures range of 0-60 °C employing a solvent extraction technique with di-(2-ethylhexyl)phosphoric acid/heptane. Two complexes, MCit and , were formed at all temperatures. For the three metal ions, the log β101 was between 5.9 and 6.2 and log β102 between 10.2 and 10.6 at 25 °C. The thermodynamic parameters for the Am-Cit system have been calculated from the temperature dependence of the β101 and β102 values. Positive enthalpy and entropy values for the formation of both complexes are interpreted as due to the contributions from the dehydration of the metal ions exceeding the exothermic cation-anion pairing. The formation of the ternary complex M(EDTA)(Cit)4− (M = Cm and Eu) was measured to have large stability constants (log β111 between 20.9 and 24.4) at 25 and 60 °C. Time resolved laser luminescence spectroscopy and lifetime measurement data validated the nature of the complexes of Eu(III) formed in the presence of Cit and EDTA + Cit in 6.60 m (NaClO4) solution.  相似文献

The classical electrophysiological method to measure the function of the 5-hydroxytryptamine (serotonin) type 3 (5-HT(3)) receptor, a cation-permeable ligand-gated ion channel, is time-consuming and not suitable for high-throughput screening. Therefore, we have optimized the conditions for a sensitive assay suitable to measure 5-HT(3) receptor responses in cell suspension based on aequorin bioluminescence caused by Ca(2+) influx. The assay, carried out in 96-well plates, was applied for the pharmacological characterization of 5-HT(3) receptors on human embryonic kidney (HEK) 293 cells transiently coexpressing apoaequorin and either the human homopentameric 5-HT(3A) receptor or the human heteromeric 5-HT(3A/B) receptor in the same subset of cells. Thus, the luminescence signal originates exclusively from transfected cells, leading to a high signal/noise ratio, a major advantage compared with fluorescence techniques using Ca(2+)-sensitive dyes. The potencies of two 5-HT(3A) receptor agonists and two antagonists as well as the potency and efficacy of serotonin at the heteromeric 5-HT(3A/B) receptor were comparable to those reported using other functional methods. In conclusion, the aequorin assay described here provides a convenient and highly sensitive method for functional characterization of 5-HT(3) receptors that is well suited for high-throughput screening.  相似文献

Nowadays, laser scalpels are commonly used in surgery, replacing the traditional surgical scalpels for several applications involving cutting or ablating living biological tissue. Laser scalpels are generally used to concentrate light energy in a very small‐sized area; light energy is then converted in heat by the tissues. In other cases, the fiber glass tip of the laser scalpel is heated to high temperature and used to cut the tissues. Depending on the temperature reached in the irradiated area, different effects are visible in the tissues. In this study, we report the discovery and characterization of the light emitted by soft mammalian biological tissues from seconds to hours after laser surgery application. A laser diode (with hot fiber glass tip) working at 808 nm and commercially available for medical and dentistry applications was used. The irradiated tissues (red meat, chicken breast and fat) showed light emission in the visible range, well detectable with a commercial charge coupled device (CCD) camera. The time decay of the light emission, the laser power effects and the spectral features in the range 500 to 840 nm in the different tissues are here reported.   相似文献
