The submarine accumulative plain of Ekspeditsii Bay is heterogeneous in terms of ground pattern and the composition and biomass of macrobenthos. The smallest values of the total biomass are characteristic of soft pelites (58.9 g/m2), siltstone pelites (55.9 g/m2), and pelites with an insignificant admixture of broken mollusk shells (108 g/m2). The greatest total biomass (649.2 g/m2) is registered around biogerms, in bottom areas composed of pelites with large fragments and entire valves of mollusk shells. On accumulative slopes of the bay, in the community of seagrasses, Zostera marina constitutes 90% of the biomass and macrofauna provides the remaining 10%. The values of the total biomass of macrobenthos of the accumulative plain and macroflora of the accumulative slopes of the bay are close to each other (about 12000 tons); however, both values are only 0.4 times as great as the biomass of macrobenthos on biogerms that occupy only 6.2% of the total bottom area in the bay.  相似文献

Sperm ultrastructure was studied in two Atlantic species of bivalve mollusks Geukensia demissa and Modiolus modiolus (Mytilidae). These spermatozoa have a classic structure common for species with external fertilization: the head of the spermatozoon of G. demissa and M. modiolus consists of an acrosome, including an acrosomal vesicle and periacrosomal material, a nucleus, and a middle part with two mutually perpendicular centrioles, surrounded by a ring of spherical mitochondria. The spermatozoa of G. demissa and M. modiolus differ in the general shape and size of the head (M. modiolus, 5.8 × 4 m; G. demissa, 4.2 × 2.5 m), as well as the structure of the acrosome and the number of mitochondria (M. modiolus, 8–12; G. demissa, 5–6). The spermatozoa of the Atlantic species M. modiolus and M. modiolus (M. kurilensis) from the Sea of Japan are close in ultrastructure, but differ in the number of mitochondria. This could possibly be a reason to consider M. modiolus from the Sea of Japan as a separate subspecies, M. modiolus kurilensis. In ultrastructure, the spermatozoa of G. demissa differ significantly from the spermatozoa of M. modiolus, but are similar to the spermatozoa of species of the genus Brachidontes.  相似文献

The relationships between the parameters of oxygen content in the body (hemoglobin saturation with oxygen and trancutaneous oxygen tension), central hemodynamics (cardiac output), and cerebral hemodynamics (cerebral blood flow rate) were studied during a hypoxic test (inhalation of an oxygen–nitrogen mixture containing 8% oxygen for 15 min). Special attention was paid to the relationships between the dynamics of cerebral blood flow and cerebral bioelectric activity measured by EEG parameters. It was demonstrated that the trancutaneous oxygen tension decreased to a greater extent than the hemoglobin saturation with oxygen and the cerebral blood flow increased to a greater extent than the cardiac output. The increase in cerebral blood flow and the increase in the indices and power of and EEG waves in the course of hypoxia were strongly positively correlated with each other in most subjects. However, if these parameters were considered in the series of subjects, the degree of the increase in the indices and power of and waves in different subjects was negatively correlated with the increase in the cerebral blood flow. The results are explained in terms of redistribution of blood flow in the body to provide a better oxygen supply to the brain and optimization of the ratios between the cerebral oxygen consumption and the functional load on the system of oxygen supply.  相似文献

As many as 8 Listeria monocytogenes strains, 12 Pseudomonas aeruginosa strains and 5 Staphylococcus aureus strains were isolated from mussels Mytilus edulis, grown on special installations in the Trinity Bay of the Gulf of Peter the Great, the Sea of Japan. The isolated cultures proved to be highly resistant to a number of antibiotics. Many strains displayed DNAase and haemolytic activity. The cultures of L. monocytogenes, S. aureus and P. aeruginosa also had high lipase, protease and lecithinase activity. The organism of the mussels seems to be a confinement for these bacteria under study.  相似文献

Localization and quantitative dynamics of alpha i subunit of G protein was studied by electron immunocytochemistry and immunoenzyme assay after hormonal induction of maturation in Asterias amurensis starfish oocytes. G alpha i protein was chiefly localized in the plasma membrane of immature oocytes; 1-methyladenine induced redistribution of the alpha i protein from the plasma membrane to intracellular structure up to the germinal physical breakdown.  相似文献

At the present, the structure of lipids and fatty acids (FA) of almost 250 species of marine sponges has been studied. It was shown that sponges are leaders in FA diversity among aquatic animals. The great majority of the works on research of FA structure in sponges was focused on representatives of the class Demospongiae and was carried out on organisms from tropical and subtropical areas, whereas sponges from the boreal region remain poorly studied.  相似文献

The paper is a review of the family-level classifications of the order Eumonostilifera. The elaboration of a phylogenetic system of Eumonostilifera is not yet possible. Some new groups, presumably monophyletic, have been distinguished, which are considered to be of a family rank (Neesiidae fam. n., Sacconemertidae stat. n., Zygonemertidae fam. n., Prostomatidae, Acteonemertidae fam. n., and Potamonemertidae fam. n.). The proposed system is a typological one; however, it can be used as a basis for further taxonomical and phylogenetic studies.  相似文献

The chemical structure of a novel lipid A, the major component of the lipopolysaccharide from the marine gamma-proteobacterium Marinomonas vaga ATCC 27119(T), was determined by compositional analysis, NMR spectroscopy, and MS. It was found to be beta-1,6-glucosaminobiose 1-phosphate acylated with (R)-3-[dodecanoyl(dodecenoyl)oxy]decanoic acid [C10 : 0 (3O-C12 : 0 [3O-C12 : 1])] or (R)-3-(decanoyloxy)decanoic acid [C10 : 0 (3O-C10 : 0)], (R)-3-hydroxydecanoic acid [C10 : 0 (3OH)], and (R)-3-[(R)-3-hydroxydecanoyloxy]decanoic acid (C10 : 0 [3O-[C10 : 0 (3OH)]]) at the 2, 3, and 2' positions, respectively. It showed low lethal toxicity, which is probably related to specific structural attributes. The absence of a fatty acid at the 3' position and a phosphoryl group at the 4' position and also the presence of an amide-linked (R)-3-hydroxyalkanoic acid that is further O-acylated with another (R)-3-hydroxyalkanoic acid, distinguish M. vaga lipid A from other such molecules.  相似文献

Immunomodulating activity of panaxanes--polysaccharides isolated from the roots and culture of Panax ginseng was studied. Effects of both preparations were analogous. Profilaxy use of panaxanes provided increased resistance to coli-sepsis in mice, increased neutrophiles and macrophages phagocytosis, stimulated humoral and cell immune factors and induced important regulating cytokins--interferone gamma and tumor necrosis factor.  相似文献

In the present study, the process of biofilm formation in iron-containing aqueous medium in the presence of different organic compounds with different bioavailability (yeast extract, peptone, and humic substances) is considered. Investigations conducted using a scanning electronic microscope and X-ray diffraction analysis allow us to reveal the presence of biologically produced goethite (α-FeOOH) in the crystal structure. It was supposed that the supply of surface waters contaminated with organic compounds to ironcontaining underground waters could increase the risk of plugging aquifer pore space by biogenic iron-containing minerals.  相似文献
