Equations have been derived on the basis of general ratios of the numbers of different age groups of animals that allow to estimate the mortality coefficient in populations with stationary age structure and intensity of mortality that does not depend on age at their continuous and discontinuous replenishing by frequency of occurrence of individuals of the maximal age. The proposed method of estimation of mortality has been tested on models with different numbers of animals and age classes. The equation gives a non-biased estimate of mortality coefficient for populations with discontinuous replenishing with young individuals at very small sample sizes (less than 10 individuals). 相似文献

A method for analysis of three-component isotopic mixtures of tritium-labelled glycine and alanine in D2O solutions has been developed on the basis of high resolution 3H NMR spectra at 266.8 MHz. Determined were composition of the mixtures in molar per cent, as well as geminal and vicinal coupling constants (2JGly3H,H = -16.4 +/- 0.2 Hz; 2JAla3H,H = -14.0 +/- 0.5 Hz; 3JAla3H,H = 7.6 +/- 0.2 Hz) and isotopic shifts (0.21 +/- 0.001 ppm for glycine; 0.026 +/- 0.001 ppm for alanine). 相似文献

The structure of the rye chloroplast DNA, which contains psbC gene coding for 43-kDa chlorophyll(a)-binding subunit of photosystem II, is determined. The sequence of trnS (UGA) gene encoding tRNA Ser is located at a distance of 140 bp downstream from the stop codon of psbC gene on the opposite DNA strand. The 5'-terminal part of psbC gene, like in other plants, overlaps by 50 bp the 3'-terminal region of psbD gene coding for D2 protein of photosystem II. The amino acid sequence of the psbC gene product reveals common features with the structure of the psbB gene product (CPa-1 protein). The structural similarity of these two proteins seems to reflect their similar functions. 相似文献

Based on a general equation of dynamics of the stationary age structure population, an equation relating the specific production of animals (C) and their life span (t p) was deduced: C =-lnp/(t p ? t 0), where t p is age of animals, the relative number of which is (p) of the population number of the initial cohort; t 0 is age of animals of the younger age group in a studied sample or population. Analysis of the Chloroflexus aurantiacus reaction centre (RC) using both protein and recombinant DNA techniques resulted in determination of its polypeptide composition and the primary structures of its two subunits. A model of the polypeptide chains' folding in the membrane is suggested based on: i) homology between L- and M-subunits of Chloroflexus aurantiacus RC and their counterparts in purple bacteria; ii) comparison of their hydropathy plots, and iii) data on the tertiary structures of purple bacteria RCs. The role of a number of functionally important amino acid residues in the RC electron transport activity is discussed. Limited proteolysis of the RC under non-denaturing conditions was used to determine the contribution of the N-terminal regions to its thermal stability. 相似文献
