Ascospores are frequently found as airborne fungal spores and recognized in various areas as an important cause of respiratory allergies. The main objective of the study was to determine the relationship between airborne ascospores and meteorological parameters using multivariate canonical correspondence analysis (CCA) and Spearman correlation. The aerobiological monitoring of fungal spores was performed over 5 years (2009–2013) using a Burkard volumetric spore traps. Seven main types of ascospores were identified: Leptosphaeria, Pleospora, Venturia, Diatrype, Chaetomium, Sporormiella and Ascobolus. The CCA results showed that all applied variables accounted for 27.4 % of the total variance in the spore data in the 5 years. The largest contribution to the total variance was explained in this period by the maximum air temperature (10.3 %). The effect of meteorological factors varied among years. The highest values of the total variance in the spore data, explained by the statistically significant variables, were observed in 2012 (28.6 %), with the highest contribution to minimum relative humidity (8.0 %). Most ascospores showed positive and statistically significant correlation with relative humidity and rainfall. In contrast, ascospores of Chaetomium were negatively correlated with precipitation and the relative humidity and positively with temperature. Based on these results, epidemiological and allergological studies must deserve more attention to estimate the allergenic potential of the ascospores.  相似文献

The species are generally amphistomatic except Pandiaka heudelotii that is hypostomatic. Anomocytic and paracytic stomatal types were mostly found but cyclocytic and diacytic types may accompany, especially in Cyathula spp. The anticlinal wall pattern varies from undulate to curved and curved‐straight in the family. Other useful epidermal features are peltate scales, trichomes of different types such as candelabra type, unicellular and multicellular conical types, long acicular glandular forms that may be tuberculate or non‐tuberculate and the filiform type; all can be employed at species level for delimitation purpose. Sub‐familial grouping of the genera is supported while monophyly and polyphyly suggested in Gomphrenoideae and Amarantheae respectively can be inferred from the extent of character variations in the species. Sediment characteristics and vegetation composition were measured in a restored and natural saltmarsh and mudflat at Wallasea Island managed realignment scheme (Essex, UK) from January to December 2007. The similar sediment characteristics in the restored and natural mudflat indicated that the sediment in the restored mudflat was approaching natural conditions. However, the sediment characteristics in the restored saltmarsh were not becoming similar to those in the natural saltmarsh. The sediment moisture content, organic matter content and porosity were lower while the sediment bulk density, salinity and pH were higher in the restored compared to the natural saltmarsh. The dissimilarities were mainly due to differences in the vegetation abundance and organic matter content. Although, 18 months after restoration the restored saltmarsh was only sparsely vegetated and there was no net change in the sediment characteristics, the occurrence of Salicornia europaea L. demonstrated that pioneer saltmarsh vegetation establishment preceded the development of sediment characteristics.  相似文献

Glyceroneogenesis, a metabolic pathway that participates during lipolysis in the recycling of free fatty acids to triglycerides into adipocytes, contributes to the lipid-buffering function of adipose tissue. We investigated whether glyceroneogenesis could be affected by human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) protease inhibitors (PIs) responsible or not for dyslipidemia in HIV-infected patients. We treated explants obtained from subcutaneous adipose tissue (SAT) and visceral adipose tissue (VAT) depots from lean individuals. We observed that the dyslipidemic PIs nelfinavir, lopinavir and ritonavir, but not the lipid-neutral PI atazanavir, increased lipolysis and decreased glyceroneogenesis, leading to an increased release of fatty acids from SAT but not from VAT. At the same time, dyslipidemic PIs decreased the amount of perilipin and increased interleukin-6 (IL-6) and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) secretion in SAT but not in VAT. Parthenolide, an inhibitor of the NFκB pathway, counteracted PI-induced increased inflammation and decreased glyceroneogenesis. IL-6 (100 ng) inhibited the activity of phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase, the key enzyme of glyceroneogenesis, in SAT but not in VAT. Our data show that dyslipidemic but not lipid-neutral PIs decreased glyceroneogenesis as a consequence of PI-induced increased inflammation in SAT that could have an affect on adipocytes and/or macrophages. These results add a new link between fat inflammation and increased fatty acids release and suggest a greater sensitivity of SAT than VAT to PI-induced inflammation.  相似文献

The Tamezzakht succession (Maastrichtian–middle Burdigalian), situated at the fringe between the Internal and the External zones, displays contrasting lithologies with abrupt facies changes, discontinuities, and/or coarse-grained calciturbidite in between. These criteria allow the definition of seven main lithostratigraphic formations.Depositional environments (oxygenation levels, trophic conditions, omission histories, among others) and/or transgressive/regressive trends are inferred from integrated sedimentologic data including facies change, cyclicity pattern and the textural composition of the turbidite facies tracts. Special emphasis is given to the ichnological features.Taking into account the extended time-range, the position between the internal zones and the external ones, as well as the clear differentiation into several contrasting sedimentary formations, the Tamezzakht succession is expected to provide useful stratigraphic data for the regional correlations.  相似文献

The stimulation of cultured guinea pig alveolar macrophages by the chemotactic peptide N-formyl-L-methionyl-L-leucyl-L-phenylalanine, or by the phospholipid inflammatory mediator platelet activating factor (PAF) induced an increase in arachidonic acid release and its cyclooxygenase products. This release, which was mimicked by the association of threshold concentrations of the calcium ionophore A 23187 and of the protein kinase C activator tetradecanoyl phorbol acetate arose mainly from diacyl- and alkyl-acyl-phosphatidylcholine and phosphatidylinositol. Using [1-14C]arachidonic acid-labeled membranes as an endogenous substrate as well as dioleoyl-phosphatidyl [14C]ethanolamine as an exogenous substrate, we showed that phospholipase A2 activity of stimulated macrophages increases upon stimulation. Treatment of macrophages by prostaglandin E2 decreased the arachidonic acid release elicited by the chemotactic peptide and PAF. Furthermore, prostaglandin E2 increased and PAF decreased the cellular content in cyclic AMP. From these results we suggest that an initial stimulation of alveolar macrophages by a bacterial signal initiates the sequential activation of a phospholipase C and of phospholipase A2, leading to the release of PAF and eicosanoids. These mediators may in turn modulate the cell response by increasing or decreasing cyclic AMP, Ca2+, or diacyglycerol macrophage content.  相似文献

Fungal spores of Alternaria and Cladosporium are ubiquitous components of both indoor and outdoor air samples and are the main causes of human respiratory allergies. Monitoring these airborne fungal spores during 2009–2014 was carried out by means of Hirst-type spore trap to investigate their airborne spore concentrations with respect to annual load, seasonality and overall intradiurnal pattern. Alternaria and Cladosporium spores are present throughout the year in the atmosphere of Tétouan, although they show seasonal variations. Despite important differences between years, their highest levels presented a first peak during spring and a higher second peak in summer or autumn depending on the year. The spore concentrations were homogeneously distributed throughout the day with slight increase of 7.6 and 3.7% on average between 12–14 and 14–16 h for Alternaria and Cladosporium, respectively. The borderline of 3000 sp/m3 of Cladosporium linked to the occurrence of allergic diseases was exceeded between 13 and 31 days. Airborne spores of Alternaria overcame the threshold value of 100 sp/m3 up to 95 days, suggesting that Cladosporium and Alternaria could be clinically significant aeroallergens for atopic patients.  相似文献
