A study was made of the distribution of plutonium-239 within the rat body after single intragastric administration thereof (1.85 MBq) in a mixture with tributyl phosphate (TBP) and as Pu(IV) nitrate at a time interval from 4 min to 512 days. It was shown that the distribution of the radionuclide was virtually the same but its absorption from the gastrointestinal tract with Pu-TBP was higher by one order of magnitude and exceeded the value recommended by ICRP for soluble plutonium compounds.  相似文献

As the result of laboratory examination of 2165 patients with virulent bacterial meningitides, including cases of meningococcal infection, the etiological diagnosis was confirmed in 1407 patients (65.0%), the number of cases confirmed by the laboratory examination being significantly greater among adults than among children: 67.5 +/- 1.37% and 63.1 +/- 1.53%, respectively, (t = 2.1). Meningococcal infection was confirmed in 1111 (70.6%) out of 1572 patients under examination. Of the patients with purulent meningitides, pneumococcal etiology was determined in 27.4%, type b of Haemophilus influenzae in 13.5%, other infective agents in 10.0%. The comparison of the results obtained in the examination, carried out by different methods, of 946 children and 770 adults with meningococcal infection revealed a considerable difference in the number of positive results yielded by the bacteriological method and countercurrent immunoelectrophoresis (CIE). Among adults meningococci were isolated twice as frequently (41.1 +/- 2.5% - 19.4 +/- 1.6%), and the results yielded by CIE were predominantly positive (55.1 +/- 2.5% and 40.1 +/- 2.5%). CIE and the immunoenzyme assay were shown to have advantages in the diagnosis of the disease. Under the conditions of intensive antibiotic therapy the methods based on the detection of specific antigens in body fluids can greatly assist in diagnosis.  相似文献

The presence in the organism of an inhibitory factor expressing its activity under conditions of increased macromolecular globulins production (of M-immunoglobulins in particular) was established experimentally. The inhibitory factor depressed the avidity of the macromolecular antibodies; its appearance preceded reduction of the macromolecular protein level in the blood serum. The inhibitory effect of the blood serum in blood letting and vaccination with bacterial antigen is connected with the blood serum albumins, and with increased cystein and sulfhydryl groups concentration.  相似文献

The investigation was aimed at evaluation of level and rate of cutaneous and tympanic temperature drop due to a single short-timed (3 min) cooling in a cryosauna (–70°С), and adaptation-indicative physiological parameters, including blood catecholamines, ACTH, lipoproteins and free fatty acids. The subjects were seven healthy men. Exposure to cold invariably reduced the internal (tympanic) and cutaneous temperature by 1°С and 7°С on average, respectively. Tympanic temperature remained 0.4°С low on the average for more than 20 min after exposure. Cutaneous temperature was 1°С below the norm for an hour after cooling. For one hour after the short-term cold exposure, blood norepinephrine remained increased, and so did the blood concentrations of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol and free fatty acids. These results demonstrate brief adaptive changes following a single exposure at–70°C.  相似文献

This work studies the effect of the helix-coil transition in gelatin on the structure development in the complex forming water-gelatin-BSA system using dynamic light scattering, environment scanning electron microscopy, rheometry, differential scanning microcalorimetry, circular dichroism, fluorescence, and absorption measurements. It was established that the structure of the complexes formed and the mechanism of intermacromolecular interaction are different in the case of two conformation states of gelatin. Above the temperature of the conformational transition (40 °C) intermacromolecular interaction leads to collapse gelatin macromolecules and formation compact (30 nm in radius) BSA-gelatin complexes (~6:1, mole/mole), partial stabilization of the secondary structure (increase the mean helix content), and stabilization of BSA molecules against thermo aggregation. At the same time it does not leads to an appreciable change in the thermodynamic parameters of the thermal transitions for BSA and gelatin. Below the temperature of the conformation transition (at 18 °C) the interaction results in formation of the large (600-1000 nm in radius) complex particles due to trapping BSA molecules into the meshes of the gelatin network and, as consequence, a substantial increase in the storage and loss moduli of the system.  相似文献
