Noradrenaline (NA) and dopamine (DA) levels in six brain regions of stimulated and nonstimulated El (El[s] and El[ns]) mice and their maternal ddY mice were determined at various ages and various times after a convulsion. The NA levels in the striatum and hippocampus of 12-week-old El[s] and El[ns] mice were lower than in ddY mice, and remained lower in 23-week-old El[s] mice, but not in El[ns] mice. DA levels were lower in the striatum of El[s] mice than in El[ns] and ddY mice at 16 and 23 weeks of age. NA levels decreased during seizure in the striatum and hippocampus of El[s] mice, and returned to preconvulsive levels 1 hr after convulsion in the striatum and 30 min in the hippocampus. DA levels in the striatum of El[s] mice decreased during convulsion and increased from 1 to 10 min after convulsion. These changes suggest that the NAergic systems in the striatum and hippocampus and the DAergic system in the striatum have important roles in relation to seizure susceptibility in El mice.  相似文献

Benzodiazepine receptors and subtypes were examined in El mice and normal ddY mice with a quantitative autoradiographic technique. Specific [3H]flunitrazepam binding in stimulated El mice, which had experienced repeated convulsions, was significantly lower in the cortex and hippocampus than in ddY mice and unstimulated El mice. In the amygdala, specific [3H]flunitrazepam binding in stimulated El mice was lower than in ddY mice. There was a tendency for the [3H]flunitrazepam binding in these regions in unstimulated El mice to be intermediate between that in stimulated El mice and that in ddY mice, but there was no significant difference between unstimulated El mice and ddY mice. [3H]Flunitrazepam binding displaced by CL218,872 was significantly lower in the cortex of stimulated El mice than in that of the other two groups, and in the hippocampus of stimulated than of unstimulated El mice. These data suggest that the decrease in [3H]flunitrazepam binding in stimulated El mice may be due mainly to that of type 1 receptor and may be the result of repeated convulsions.  相似文献

Transacylation of capsaicin with triolein using a commercial lipase gave olvanil in an 85% yield at 70°C for 144 h. When olive oil was employed, the major product was olvanil (62%). Safflower oil gave a mixture of olvanil (39%) and linoleoyl vanillylamide (32%). Perilla oil gave linolenoyl vanillylamide (13%). Myristic acid and its methyl ester could be used as an acyl donor, and myristoyl vanillylamide was obtained in 20–78% using several lipases.  相似文献

Royal jelly is known as a functional food containing many useful minerals. In this study, we found an anti-environmental estrogen activity of royal jelly. Bisphenol A (BPA) is an environmental estrogen that stimulates proliferation of human breast cancer MCF-7 cells. Royal jelly inhibited the growth-promoting effect of BPA on MCF-7 cells, even though it did not affect the proliferation of cells in the absence of BPA. In addition, this inhibiting effect of royal jelly was heat-stable.  相似文献

New antibiotics, T1801 A, B, C, and D, were isolated from the culture broth of Pseudomonas sp. SC-1801. Their structures were found by spectroscopic analyses to be tri- and tetra(methylthio) derivatives of hydro quinone (T1801 A and C) or p-benzoquinone (T1801 B and D). They are new quinone and hydroquinone antibiotics and are active against Gram-positive bacteria, some fungi, and yeasts.  相似文献

Two aldehydic C20-gibberellins, L-2 and L-4, were isolated from the immature fruits of yellow lupine (Lupinus luteus L.). L-2 was shown to have the structure II and named gibberellin A23. L-4 was identified as gibberellin A19(VI). Two new C20-gibberellins, tentatively called 3,13-dihydroxy GA15(IV) and 13-hydroxy GA15(VIII), were derived from gibberellins, A23 and A19, respectively. The biological activities of four 3,13-dihydroxy C20-gibberellins-GA18(I), GA23(II), GA28(III) and 3,13-dihydroxy GA15(IV), which were isolated from the fruits except for 3,13-dihydroxy GA15—were compared in six gibberellin bioassays.  相似文献

Clinical studies have suggested that pioglitazone, an insulin sensitizer, has a stronger effect in women than in men. To determine the sex difference in the pharmacokinetics of pioglitazone, we examined the plasma and white adipose tissue levels of pioglitazone and its active metabolites (M-II, M-III and M-IV) in male and female rats treated with a single or repeated oral administration of pioglitazone (10 mg/kg). The AUCs of pioglitazone (149.6+/-22.6 vs. 103.3+/-14.0 microg.h/ml; P<0.01), M-III (31.4+/-8.1 vs. 20.2+/-4.7 microg.h/ml; P<0.05) and M-IV (41.9+/-15.5 vs. 14.1+/-1.6 microg.h/ml; P<0.01) were larger in female rats than in male rats, but the levels of M-II were similar. Any of the compounds did not accumulate in plasma after repeated administration. According to kinetic model analysis, the apparent elimination rate of pioglitazone and the formation rate of M-II were faster in male rats than in female rats. No significant sex difference was found in the tissue-to-plasma concentration ratios of pioglitazone or its active metabolites in white adipose tissue. These results suggest that there are sex differences in the plasma levels of pioglitazone and some of its active metabolites and that those differences are reflected in differences in white adipose tissue levels.  相似文献
