Molecular genetic techniques (NGS sequencing and quantitative PCR) were used to determine the composition of the cecal bacterial community of broiler chickens fed with different mixed fodder. The cecal microbiome exhibited taxonomic diversity, with both typical inhabitants of avian intestine belonging to the families Clostridiaceae, Eubacteriaceae, and Lactobacillaceae and to the phylum Bacteroidetes, and new unidentified taxa, as well as bacteria of the families Lachnospiraceae and Ruminococcaceae, which were previously considered restricted to the rumen microbiota. Contrary to traditional concepts, enterococci and bifidobacteria were among the minor components of the community, lactate-fermenting species were absent, and typical avian pathogens of the genus Staphylococcus were detected but seldom. Members of the family Suterellaceae and the genus Gallibacterium, which are responsible for avian respiratory infections, were also detected. Significant fluctuations of abundance and composition of microbial groups within the cecal community and of the parameters of broiler productivity were found to occur depending on the feed allowance. Cellulose content in the feed had the most pronounced effect on the composition and structure of bacterial communities. Decreased cellulose content resulted in a decrease of bacterial abundance by an order of magnitude and in increased ratios of members of the phylum Bacteroidetes and the family Clostridiaceae, which possess the enzymes degrading starch polysaccharides. Abundance of the normal inhabitants of avian intestine belonging to the genus Lactobacillus and the order Bacillales decreased, while the share of Escherichia and members of the family Sutterellaceae increased, including some species capable of causing dysbiotic changes in the avian intestine. Production of biosurfactants by acidophilic mycobacteria was demonstrated in the course of aerobic degradation of hydrocarbons (n-tridecane, n-tricosane, n-hexacosane, model mixtures of С14–С17, С12?С19, and С9–С21n-alkanes, 2,2,4,4,6,8,8-heptamethylnonane, squalane, and butylcyclohexane) and their complex mixtures (hydrocarbon gas condensate, kerosene, black oil, and paraffin oil) under extremely acidic conditions (pH 2.5). When grown on hydrocarbons, the studied bacterial culture AGS10 caused a decrease in the surface and interfacial tension of the solutions (to the lowest observed values of 26.0 and 1.3 mN/m, respectively) compared to the bacteria-free control. The rheological characteristics of the culture changed only when mycobacteria were grown on hydrocarbons. Neither the medium nor the cell-free culture liquid had the surfactant activity, which indicated formation of an endotype biosurfactant by mycobacteria. Biodegradation of n-alkanes was accompanied by an increase in cell numbers, surfactant production, and changes in the hydrophobicity of bacterial cell surface and in associated phenomena of adsorption and desorption to the hydrocarbon phase. Research on AGS10 culture liquids containing the raw biosurfactant demonstrated the preservation of its activity within a broad range of pH, temperature, and salinity. 相似文献

The effect of mechanical extension on the differentiation of axial mesoderm in double explants (sandwiches) of Xenopus laevis embryonic tissues isolated during the early gastrula–late neurula developmen-tal period is studied. In explants at the early gastrula stage, artificial extension orients and stimulates isolated differentiation of the notochord and somites as well as their joint formation. Moreover, extension facilitated the formation of the normal anatomical structure of the notochord and affected expression of Chordin gene. At the late gastrula stage, the effect of artificial extension on joint somite–notochord differentiation was weaker. At the stage of late neurula, somites were sometimes formed in explants lacking a notochord anlage. Thus, at earlier stages, the formation of somites was stimulated by contacts with the notochord and joint development of both structures was mechanical dependent, while at the later stages, somites developed inde-pendently of the notochord. Thus, the role of tissue extension is primarily the establishment of normal mor-phology and expression of Chordin was located in the direction of extension. 相似文献

Morphology of the phosphatic sclerites of the species Mobergella radiolata that come from the Lower Cambrian sections is studied, and the stratigraphic distribution of the species is revised. The sclerite laminated microstructure of this species is described and is shown to be similar to that of some gastropods, bivalves, brachiopods, bryozoans, and corals. The species M. hexactina Skovsted, 2003 and M. sibirica Skovsted, 2003 are shown to be junior synonyms of M. radiolata based on sclerite morphology supported by the results of statistical analysis. 相似文献

Separate and combined exposure of roach Rutilus rutilus embryos during the first 38 h after fertilization to magnetic field (500 Hz, 1.4–1.6 µT) and elevated temperature (23°?) causes morphological responses: decrease in mean values of length and weight of the body, increase in the number of vertebrae, and increase in the number of vertebral anomalies and morphological diversity of vertebral phenotypes. Size–weight characteristics and the number of vertebrae in underyearlings are related to the development of anomalies in its backbone. The results of the studies on feeding of zander (Sander lucioperca) underyearlings in the Rybinsk Reservoir in 2008-2010 and 2012 are presented. The study revealed that, at feeding on plankton, the assemblage of the organisms consumed by juvenile zander has not been changed compared to 1950. The underyearlings prefer to feed on large zooplankters—Daphnia longispina, Leptodora kindtii, and Bythotrephes longimanus—along with copepods. At some sampling stations, the species of macrozoobenthos were included in the young zander food. The piscine component of zander food was dominated by underyearlings of Azov-Black sea tyulka (Clupeonella cultriventris); the fries of perch (Perca fluviatilis) and cyprinids (Cyprinidae) were less important. The feeding strategy of zander underyearlings was unchanged in various years. At turning to predatory feeding, not only the ratio of sizes of predator versus prey but also the proportion of the densities of their populations plays an important role. 相似文献
