虎凤蝶属(Luehdorfia)的蝶类是危害中草药细辛和杜衡等的重要害虫,是亚洲东部地区的特产属,它们的分布区域比较狭窄,除我国之外,仅见于日本、朝鲜以及符拉迪沃斯托克(海参崴)等地。 虎凤蝶属蝶类的色彩、斑纹在种间的区别极微,再加上同种个体之间的翅面斑纹变异幅度极大,因此,许多年来,世界上若干蝶类专家对本属蝶类的鉴定,由于没有找到明确的形态区别而大感困惑,因而长期以来存在着混淆和误订。Seitz(1906)在《世界大鳞翅目志·古北区蝶类》一书中认为虎凤蝶属只  相似文献

黄翅菜叶蜂为油菜、白菜、萝卜等十字花科植物主要害虫之一。在四川凉山地区一年可发生五个重迭世代,以老熟幼虫在土壤中作蛹茧越冬,越冬成虫四月上旬出现,第一代成虫发生于5月上旬-6月中旬,第二代6月上旬-7月中旬,第三代7月上旬-8月下旬,第四代8月中旬-10月中旬,10月间开始越冬。成虫量与油菜生育期有极密切的关系,子叶期成虫量为80.1-93.0%。成虫有较强的伪死性,雨天、阴天伪死性较强,晴天较弱,成虫雨天不活动产卵。雌虫一般多于雄虫,雌虫为68.4-70.9%。雌虫最多产卵量为318粒,最少为35粒。雌成虫寿命5-12天,雌虫3-9天。卵期4-41天,卵孵化率一般为93.3-100%。幼虫有5龄,幼虫期10-36天,1-3龄幼虫多躲在叶背,不易发觉,老熟幼虫潜入1-11厘米土层内化蛹,前蛹期5-21天,蛹期7-25天。成虫初羽化时在土面爬行数分钟才能飞翔,晴天飞翔力强。耕翻土壤对蛹有一定机械损伤,暴露于土面的蛹在自然阳光下照晒其死亡率很高。 666、DDT对黄翅菜叶蜂幼虫具有极强的毒杀效果。敌百虫较差。  相似文献

The potential impact of an increase in methane emissions from natural wetlands on climate change models could be very large. We report a profound increase in methane emissions from cores of mire peat and vegetation as a direct result of increasing the CO2 concentration from 355 to 550 μol mol?1 (a 60% increase). Increased CH4 fluxes were observed throughout the four month period of study. Seasonal variation in CH4 flux, consistent with that seen in the field, was observed under both ambient and elevated CO2. Under ambient CO2, methane fluxes rose from 0.02 μol m-2 s?1 in May to 0.11 μol m?2 s?3 in July before declining again in August. Under elevated CO2 methane fluxes were at least 100% greater throughout the experiment, rising from 0.05 μol m-2 s?1 in May to a peak of 0.27 μol m?2 s?1 in July. The stimulation of CO4 emissions was accompanied by a 100% increase in rates of photosynthesis from 4.6 (± 0.3) under ambient CO2 to 9.3 (± 0.7) μol m?2 s?1. Root and shoot biomass were unaffected.  相似文献

The interrelationships within the clade comprised of turtles, pareiasaurs, and procolophonid-like taxa are investigated via a cladistic analysis incorporating 56 characters. A single most parsimonious tree was found (80 steps, c. i. = 0·8) in which the successive outgroups to turtles are: pareiasaurs, Sclerosaurus, lanthanosuchids, procolophonoids (=Owenetta, Barasaurus and procolophonids), and nyctiphruretians (= nycteroleterids). Thus, as suggested recently by other workers (Reisz, in Fischman, 1993) turtles are the highly modified survivors of a radiation of poorly-known reptiles commonly called ‘parareptiles’. Pareiasaurs are united with turtles on the basis of twenty unambiguous derived features which are absent in other basal amniotes (=‘primitive reptiles’) and reptiliomorph amphibians: for example, the medially located choana, enlarged foramina palatinum posterius, blunt cultriform process, fully ossified medial wall of the prootic, opisthotic-squamosal suture, lateral flange of exoccipital, loss of ventral cranial fissure, thickened braincase floor, ‘pleurosphenoid’ ossification, reduced presacral count, acromion process, trochanter major, reduced fifth pedal digit, and presence of transverse processes on most caudals. Recent phylogenetic proposals linking turtles with captorhinids, with dicynodonts, and with procolophonoids are evaluated. None of the proposed traits supporting the first two hypotheses is compelling. The procolophonoid hypotheses is supported by only one synapomorphy (the slender stapes). All other synapomorphies proposed in favour of the above groupings either occur in many other primitive amniotes, or are not primitive for turtles, or are not primitive for the proposed chelonian sister-group. Nyctiphruretus and Lanthanosuchids and nycteroleterids, often considered to be seymouriamorph amphibians, are demonstrated unequivocally to be amniotes. The ‘rhipaeosaurs’, currently considered to be pareiasaur relatives, are shown to be a heterogenous assemblage of seymouriamorphs, therapsids and nycteroleterids. The phylogeny proposed here indicates that many of the traits of the earliest known turtle, Proganochelys, previously interpreted as unique specialisations, also occur in pareiasaurs and other near outgroups of turtles, and must instead represent the primitive chelonian condition: for example, the wide parietals and the short quadrate flange of the pterygoid. The sequence of acquisition of chelonian traits is discussed: many features once thought to be diagnostic of turtles actually characterize larger groupings of procolophonomorphs, and must have evolved long before the chelonian shell appeared. These traits include most of the chelonian-pareiasaur synapomorphies listed above, and many others which characterize more inclusive groupings found in this analysis. In putting Proganochelys much closer to the main line of chelonian evolution, in elucidating the sequence of acquisition of chelonian traits, and in reducing greatly the number of differences between turtles and their nearest relatives, this study helps bridge one of the major gaps in the fossil record. The failure of previous cladistic analyses to identify correctly the nearest relatives of turtles is attributed to biased character selection, caused by an over-reliance on cranial characters deemed ‘important’ by earlier workers, and by a tendency to shoehorn ‘parareptile’ taxa into phylogenies derived from analyses restricted to ‘mainstream’ groups such as synapsids, diapsids, turtles, and ‘captorhinomorphs’. Many of the synapomorphies that resolve turtle origins are postcranial, and the three nearest outgroups to turtles are all highly bizarre groups which were dismissed as ‘too specialized’ by early workers and continued to be inadequately assessed even by workers using a cladistic framework.  相似文献

1. Three species of leeches, Erpobdella octoculata, Glossiphonia complanata and Helobdella stagnalis, and four species of triclads, Polycelis nigra, P. tennis, Dugesia polychroa and Dendrocoelum lacteum, commonly coexist on stony shores in productive British lakes. All species are food limited and there is much overlap in their diet. For both leech and triclad communities, coexistence of species is through the occurrence of food refuges. Leeches are more successful than triclads at capturing live prey, whereas both groups feed on damaged prey, comprising incapacitated, live or dead animals that are leaking body fluids. If triclads are better than leeches at exploiting damaged prey, this could be a mechanism for their coexistence. 2. Laboratory experiments investigated the comparative speeds at which leeches and triclads responded to crushed prey. Young and adult predators were offered a crushed specimen of the oligochaete Tubifex tubifex, the snail Lymnaea peregra, the crustacean Asellus aquaticus or the chironomid Chironomus sp., and their reaction times recorded. These four prey groups constitute the main diet of the predators in the field. Only D. polychroa and D. lacteum showed a significantly different reaction time between young and adults to crushed prey, and the reason for this is unclear. All predators, except H. stagnalis and D. polychroa, showed a difference in reaction time to the four types of prey, presumably a consequence of differences in both the ‘quality’ and ‘concentration’ of the different prey fluids, and there were some differences between predators in their speed of reaction to the same prey type. The following sequence, from fastest to slowest, in general reaction time to prey was obtained: E. octoculata, D. polychroa, P. tenuis, D. lacteum, P. nigra, H. stagnalis and G. complanata. 3. The location of the damaged food by the predators can be explained partly in terms of their foraging behaviour, with E. octoculata, D, polychroa and P. tenuis exhibiting a more seek-out strategy than other species which have a more sit-and-wait behaviour, and partly on the level of sophistication of their chemosensory system used to detect leaked prey fluids. This system is highly developed in triclad species but poorly developed in leeches. 4. In a second type of experiment in which prey, L. peregra, A. aquaticus or Chironomus sp., were offered at different time intervals after crushing to H, stagnalis and P. tenuis, few predators fed on food crushed for 24 h or longer, although a few leeches fed on Chironomus crushed for up to 72 h. 5. It is concluded that coexistence of leech and triclad species on stony shores in lakes is assisted by partitioning of food on a damaged or live basis.  相似文献

Changes of ABA levels in chilled rice (Oryza sativa L.) seedlings of two varieties were determined. On exposure to chilling, ABA concentration rapidly increased in the chilling-tolerant cultivar (cv. Tainung 67, TNG.67) but not in the chilling-sensitive cultivar (cv. Taichung Native 1, TN.1). Both detached shoots and roots of TNG.67 seedlings showed a significant ABA increase after exposure to chilling. TN.1 seedlings could not accumulate ABA under low temperature but well-watered status. Exogenous application of the ABA biosynthetic inhibitor, fluridone, reduced ABA accumulation, as well as survival ratio of chilled TNG.67 seedlings. Electrolyte leakage and leaf conductance were also increased by the inhibitor and the effects could be reversed by exogenously applied ABA. ABA concentrations in xylem sap of TNG.67 seedlings increased within 4 h after chilling, and this was temporally coincident with the reduction of leaf conductance. The roles of endogenous ABA in the tolerance of rice seedlings to chilling on a whole plant basis are discussed and suggested.  相似文献

This paper describes the construction and performance of branch bags and a CO2 control system used to fumigate branches of mature Sitka spruce trees with air enriched in CO2 (700 μmolmol-1). It contains some examples of results obtained using the system over the course of the first two growing seasons. The branch bags have run continuously for 2 years with very few problems. CO2 concentrations were within 20 μmol mol-1 of the target concentration for more than 90% of the time. Temperatures within the bags were slightly higher than ambient (1–2 °C) and this had some effect on phenology. Attenuation of quantum flux density (photosynthetically active radiation) was 10–15%. The branch bag system has enabled investigation into the effects of elevated CO2 on mature tissue without the problems and expense of fumigating whole trees. Growth in elevated CO2 resulted in an increase in starch and a decrease in soluble protein content of needles. Stomatal conductance was higher in elevated CO2 grown needles, and there was some evidence of an increase in photosynthetic capacity.  相似文献

Abstract. Little is known about the nature of injury due to cold shock, or its prevention by rapid cold-hardening, in insects. To understand these phenomena better at the system level, physiological and behavioural comparisons were made between control, cold shock injured, and rapidly cold-hardened flesh flies, Sarcophaga crassipalpis Macquart (Diptera, Sarcophagidae). Cold shock impaired the proboscis extension reflex in response to 0.125,0.5 and 1.0 M sucrose solutions. Cold shock-injured flies were unable to groom effectively and spent only 12.5% of the first 5 min following general dust application producing ineffectual leg movements. In contrast, control and rapidly cold-hardened flies exhibited normal grooming behaviour spending 92.4% and 94.1% of the first 5 min following generalized dust application grooming. Cold shock also decreased the mean resting membrane potential of tergotrochanteral muscle fibres from -65.9 mV in control flies to -41.6 m V. Conduction velocities of the three motor neurone populations innervating the tergotrochanteral muscle were all significantly lower in cold-shocked flies than in control or rapidly cold-hardened flies. Finally, cold shock impaired neuromuscular transmission as evidenced by a lack of evoked end plate potentials.  相似文献
