Three new pyrrole oligoglycosides, astebatheriosides A–C (1–3), and a new furan oligoglycoside, astebatherioside D (4), were isolated from the starfish Asterina batheri by various chromatographic methods. Their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic and chemical methods. Compounds 2, 3, and 4 moderately inhibited IL-12 p40 production in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated bone marrow-derived dendritic cells (BMDCs) with IC50 values of 36.4, 31.6, and 22.8 μM, respectively. 相似文献

A series of 2-thio pyridine C-region analogues of 2-(3-fluoro-4-methylsulfonylaminophenyl)propanamides were investigated as hTRPV1 antagonists. Among them, compound 24S showed stereospecific and excellent TRPV1 antagonism of capsaicin-induced activation. Further, it demonstrated strong anti-allodynic in a rat neuropathic pain model. Consistent with its action in vitro being through TRPV1, compound 24S blocked capsaicin-induced hypothermia in mice. Maca (Lepidium meyenii), a traditional food crop of the Peruvian Andes is now widely touted as a dietary supplement. Among the various chemical constituents isolated from the plant are a unique series of non-polar, long-chain fatty acid N-benzylamides known as macamides. We have synthesized 11 of the 19 reported macamides and have tested each as potential inhibitors of the human enzyme, fatty acid amide hydrolase (FAAH). The five most potent macamides were FAAH inhibitors (IC50 = 10–17 μM). These amides were derivatives of oleic, linoleic and linolenic acids and benzylamine or 3-methoxybenzylamine. Of the three compounds evaluated in a pre-incubation time study, two macamides were not irreversible inhibitors of FAAH. The third, a carbamate structurally related to macamides, was shown to be an irreversible inhibitor of FAAH (IC50 = 0.153 μM). 相似文献

A carbon flux model, the vegetation integrated simulator for trace gases, was employed to estimate the carbon budgets of vegetation ecosystems in South Korea. The geographic information system was used to prepare the input variables for the model, such as climate, soil, and land-cover data, from reliable national inventories. Model simulation results indicated that the annual average gross primary production, net primary production, and soil respiration (SR) for 10 years were 91.89, 40.16, and 62.91 Tg C year?1, respectively. The model also estimated a net ecosystem production with a value of 3.51 Tg C year?1 between 1999 and 2008. Such results indicate that the vegetation ecosystems of South Korea offset 3.3 % of anthropogenic emissions as a net carbon sink. Latitudinal and topographical gradients over the total simulation area were found for all estimates. In addition, the estimates varied between seasons and years, especially in estimates for biomass growth and carbon uptake, because of variations in the weather conditions. Finally, model validation was conducted using measured soil efflux and flux measurement data from the Gwangneung experimental forest (GEF). The estimated SR accounted for 81.6 % of the observed SR at the GEF site (P < 0.005). Ferredoxin-nitrite reductase (EC 1.7.7.1), an enzyme which catalyzes the 6-electron reduction of nitrite to ammonia, has been isolated from Spinacia oleracea. The isolated enzyme was homogeneous by disc electrophoresis with polyacrylamide gel. The molecular weight of the enzyme was estimated to be 86,000 by Ultrogel AcA 34 gel filtration. In the oxidized form, the enzyme had absorption maxima at 278, 388 (Soret band), 573 (α band) and 690 nm, indicating that siroheme is directly involved in the catalysis of nitrite reduction. This absorption spectrum was modified by sulfite, hydroxylamine and cyanide. The enzyme exhibited electron paramagnetic resonance signals with g values of 6.9 and 5.2, which are characteristic of a high spin Fe3+ -siroheme in the molecule. These signals disappeared upon the addition of dithionite or nitrite. This isolated enzyme also contained four moles of labile sulfide and 7 g-atoms of iron per 86,000 g of protein. 相似文献

Two kinds of N-acetylmuramidase, M-1 and M-2 enzymes, that were isolated from the cultural broth of Stm. globisporus 1829, were remarkably different in amino acid composition, immunological properties and modes of lytic action from each other. The M-1 enzyme was composed of 186 amino acid residues of which two moles were of half cystine, while the M-2 enzyme was composed of 99 amino acid residues with no cysteine. The hydrolyzing action of the M-2 enzyme was suppressed by the presence of an O-acetyl group on muramic acid residues in the peptidoglycan moiety, while that of the M-l enzyme was independent of the presence of O-acetyl groups. However, the hydrolyzing activity of both enzymes was enhanced when some muramic acid residues were substituted with stem peptides containing alanine, isoglutamine and lysine. 相似文献

The algicidal effects of the thiazolidinedione derivative TD49 on Heterosigma akashiwo and Chattonella marina (Raphidophyceae) were assessed, and the response of the planktonic community and environment to the algicide was evaluated in a microcosm, quantifying 12 L. The abundance of over 80 % of H. akashiwo and C. marina declined in a day significantly in microcosms to which TD49 was added (final concentration 2 μM), and this was correlated with an abrupt decline in the culture pH. The number of protists (i.e., ciliates) other than H. akashiwo and C. marina gradually increased with time in the TD49 treatments, implying that the decline in numbers of H. akashiwo and C. marina cells resulting from TD49 treatment was a major factor in the growth of the other organisms. However, TD49 may be toxic to aquatic zooplankton communities, even though it is a highly selective algicide for harmful algae bloom species. The study indicates that TD49 is an effective agent for the control for H. akashiwo and C. marina blooms in enclosed and eutrophic water bodies. 相似文献

Pong elements are active class 2 transposons in rice. We found Pong-like elements in Arabidopsis thaliana and named them as AtPong (Arabidopsis thaliana Pong) elements. The AtPong elements carried 13 bp of TIRs and two ORFs in which NAM DNA binding domain and DDE catalytic domain are encoded. Ping and mPing (miniature Ping) elements are deficient Pong elements and we found AtPong derived deficient AtPing and AtmPing elements. We also found a homologous element of the AtPong element in Brassica rapa. This element was a deficient element by internal deletion, but showed high sequence similarity with the AtmPing so that it was named as BrmPing (Brassica rapa miniature Ping). The AtPong, AtPing, and AtmPing elements were present in intergenic regions except one element, AtPing1, which was present in an exon of a F-box protein gene. Among the different A. thaliana ecotypes, the AtPing1 showed polymorphisms of present and absent in the F-box protein gene. The excision of the AtPing1 restored the expression of the F-box protein gene, indicating that the expression of the F-box protein genes is regulated by the AtPing1. 相似文献
