The lizard genus Liolaemus includes numerous constituent clusters of putatively related taxa, one of which is the Liolaemus boulengeri group, which in turn includes the sand lizards (of the Liolaemus wiegmannii subgroup). Members of the sand lizard group exhibit three different modes of burying into sand. The general morphology of the forelimb muscles of those Liolaemus species is analysed. Herein, we present a study of the forelimb musculature of all species considered by Halloy et al. (1998). This study has three principal goals. First, we are seeking myological characters that will be useful in formulating phylogenetic hypothesis about the species of Liolaemus. With these characters, we also wish to compile morphological data that represent the morphological space implied in the diverse locomotor behaviours of these animals. Second, we are looking for derived features that reflect functional changes in the use of forelimb. Third, we wish to provide a cladistic analysis that can be used to test phylogenetic hypothesis derived from other sources of data. We present 48 characters in a data set and analyse it cladistically. We obtained a hypothesis of relationships of the Liolaemus species and compared this with previous hypotheses based on other characters. The trees obtained are not congruent with previously proposed phylogenies. We were unable to identify in our trees nodes that are based on structures reflecting functional changes in the use of the forelimb. The morphological similarities in the forelimb musculature of all species analysed seems to conform a very conservative general anatomical pattern with which Liolaemus sand lizards perform most of their locomotor behaviours.  相似文献

Three saponins, named minutoside A (1), minutoside B (2), minutoside C (3), and two known sapogenins, alliogenin and neoagigenin, were isolated from the bulbs of Allium minutiflorum Regel. Elucidation of their structure was carried out by comprehensive spectroscopic analyses, including 2D NMR spectroscopy and mass spectrometry. The structures of the new compounds were identified as (25R)-furost-2alpha,3beta,6beta,22alpha,26-pentaol 3-O-[beta-D-xylopyranosyl-(1-->3)-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->4)-O-beta-D-galactopyranosyl] 26-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside (1), (25S)-spirostan-2alpha,3beta,6beta-triol 3-O-beta-D-xylopyranosyl-(1-->3)-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->4)-O-beta-D-galactopyranoside (2), and (25R)-furost-2alpha,3beta,5alpha,6beta,22alpha,26-esaol 3-O-[beta-D-xylopyranosyl-(1-->3)-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->4)-O-beta-D-galactopyranosyl] 26-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside (3). The isolated compounds were evaluated for their antimicrobial activity. All the novel saponins showed a significant antifungal activity depending on their concentration and with the following rank: minutoside B>minutoside C>minutoside A. No appreciable antibacterial activity was recorded. The possible role of these saponins in plant-microbe interactions is discussed.  相似文献

We have previously demonstrated that spontaneous DNA synthesis in immature thymocytes of Atm-/- mice is elevated, and that treatment with the glucocorticoid dexamethasone (Dex) attenuates this increased DNA synthesis and prevents the development of thymic lymphomas. Deregulation of c-myc may drive the uncontrolled proliferation of Atm-/- thymocytes, since upregulation of c-myc parallels the elevated DNA synthesis in the cells. In this study, we show that the glucocorticoid receptor (GR) is expressed at high levels in Atm-/- thymocytes and in Atm-/- thymic lymphoma cells, although serum glucocorticoid (GC) levels in Atm-/- mice are similar to those in Atm+/+ mice. In cultured Atm-/- thymic lymphoma cells treated with Dex, GR nuclear translocation occurs, resulting in suppression of DNA synthesis and c-myc expression at both the mRNA and protein levels. Interestingly, the GR antagonist RU486 also causes GR nuclear translocation, but does not affect DNA synthesis and c-myc expression in Atm-/- thymic lymphoma cells. As expected, RU486 reverses the suppressive effects of Dex on DNA synthesis and c-myc expression. Administration of Dex to Atm-/- mice decreases the elevated c-Myc protein levels in their thymocytes. These findings suggest that GC/GR signaling plays an important role in regulating c-myc expression in Atm-/- thymocytes and thymic lymphoma cells.  相似文献

The solid state properties of deflazacort (1-(1beta,16alpha)-21-(acetyloxy)-11-hydroxy-2'-methyl-5'H-pregna-1,4-dieno[17,16-d]oxazole-3,20-dione, 1) were investigated using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), thermogravimetry (TG), single-crystal X-ray diffraction, solid and liquid nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy ((13)C NMR), Fourier transform infrared and Raman spectroscopy (FTIR and FT Raman). From the trends observed in the crystal structure and spectral data some conclusions can be made about hydrogen bonding, molecular conformation and crystal packing. Compound 1 crystallizes in an orthorhombic cell, space group P2(1)2(1)2(1) and the following lattice parameters: a=11.2300(5), b=12.8161(8), c=16.171(1)A, V: 2327.4(2)A(3), D(c): 1.260g/cm(3), R1=0.0479, wR2=0.1012. The crystal structure is stabilized by intra and intermolecular interactions, which provides for a very closely packed form. The NMR data indicated that 1 shows a similar conformation in solid and liquid state; while, thermal data revealed that 1 follows a monophasic pattern with a DSC melting peak at 258.4 degrees C (DeltaH 99.7Jg(-1), n=3), indicating that 1 is thermally stable as solid; but, as liquid is unstable to undergo a thermal decomposition reaction. The reactivity of 1 toward light and moisture was examined via DSC and TLC. The data indicated that 1 do not interact with water to give hydrated forms or decomposition products; however, light degrades 1.  相似文献
