Seven criconematid species: Ogma menzeli, Criconema annuliferum, C. princeps, Criconemoides pleriannulatus, Mesocriconema solivagum, M. xenoplax and Xenocriconemella macrodora were recovered from soil samples collected from oak forests in the Shulgan-Tash and Voronezh nature reserves in Russia. Examination of C. pleriannulatus by SEM confirmed the absence of submedian lobes and revealed the presence of a small lip annule; juveniles exhibit fringe-like cuticular ornamentation of the annules. Ogma menzeli and C. pleriannulatus are new geographical records for Russia, and all species have already been reported in association with different oak species with the exception of M. solivagum and C. pleriannulatus. Criconemoides mutabilis Eroshenko, 1980 is proposed as a junior synonym of C. pleriannulatus Ebsary, 1979.  相似文献

In F2 hybrids between self-sterile plants of the Volkhova cultivar and self-fertile lines with established self-fertility mutations (sf-mutations) at the major incompatibility loci S (1R), Z (2R), and T (5R), the effect of sf-mutations on the inheritance of secalin-encoding, isozyme, and morphological markers located on the same chromosomes was investigated. Linkage between loci Prx7 and S and locus Sec3 coding for high-molecular-weight secalins on chromosome 1R was shown for the first time The frequency of recombination between Prx7 and Sec3 and between S and Sec3 was 29.1 +/- 4.8% and 30.9 +/- 7.0%, respectively. Independent inheritance of locus Z and isozyme markers of chromosome 2R, Est3/5 and beta-Glu, from locus Sec2 encoding 75-kDa gamma-secalins was shown; in hybrids, the recombination frequency between Est3/5 and locus Z varied from 19.2 +/- 8.1 to 50%. Independent inheritance of morphological (Ddw and Hs) and isozyme markers (Est4, Est6/9, and Aco2) of chromosome 5R from locus T located on the same chromosome was demonstrated.  相似文献

TBA-reactive products were measured in the brain, liver, and heart of Wistar rats in control conditions and after 24 h immobilization. Animals were subjected to the open field test before and after the immobilization. Behavior patterns, gastric mucosa alterations and MDA accumulation in organs suggested that immobilization as well as food and water deprivation were all strong stressor stimuli. Initial open field behavior characteristics were significantly correlated with MDA contents in various tissues under emotional stress.  相似文献

The paper refers to utilization of biological elements within permeable reactive barriers. The concept of a biofiltration permeable barrier has been tested in the laboratory and in pilot-scale. Oxyhumolite (oxidized young lignite) was examined as an absorption material and a biofilm carrier. Laboratory tests performed before the pilot verification confirmed that oxyhumolite adsorbs organic pollutants at a minimum value, but that it can be used for biofilm attachment. An experimental barrier was built on premises of a chemical factory contaminated mainly by various organic pollutants [benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX), chlorobenzenes, naphthalene, nitro-derivatives, phenols, trichloroethylene (TCE), and total petroleum hydrocarbon (TPH)]. Before the barrier was installed, a preliminary survey of the unsaturated zone, hydrogeological investigation, and a microbiological survey had been performed. The barrier was designed as a trench-and-gate system with an in situ bioreactor. During the year 2004, measurements of groundwater flux and retention time under current hydrological conditions, together with chemical and microbiological monitoring, were carried out on the site. The results showed high effectiveness of organic contamination removal. Average elimination varied from 57.3% (naphthalene) to 99.9% (nitro-derivatives, BTEX); microbial density in the bioreactor was approx. 105 CFU mL−1.  相似文献

Abstract The streptococcal plasmids pIP501, pDC10535 and pSM15346 coding for MLS resistance have been successfully transferred to Bacillus sphaericus strains 1593, 2297, 2362 and local strains after mating on filter. The transfer occurred at high frequency and was demonstrated electrophoretically. Conjugation in liquid media also took place but at lower frequency. The conjugation process was studied by electron microscopy. A kind of a bridge of electron-dense material between the mating cells has been observed. The addition of trypsin did not change significantly the transfer frequency in our experimental conditions.  相似文献

Hexanucleotide repeat expansions in C9orf72 are the most common cause of familial amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and frontotemporal dementia (FTD). The mechanisms by which the expansions cause disease are not properly understood but a favoured route involves its translation into dipeptide repeat (DPR) polypeptides, some of which are neurotoxic. However, the precise targets for mutant C9orf72 and DPR toxicity are not fully clear, and damage to several neuronal functions has been described. Many of these functions are regulated by signalling between the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) and mitochondria. ER‐mitochondria signalling requires close physical contacts between the two organelles that are mediated by the VAPB‐PTPIP51 ‘tethering’ proteins. Here, we show that ER‐mitochondria signalling and the VAPB‐PTPIP51 tethers are disrupted in neurons derived from induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells from patients carrying ALS/FTD pathogenic C9orf72 expansions and in affected neurons in mutant C9orf72 transgenic mice. In these mice, disruption of the VAPB‐PTPIP51 tethers occurs prior to disease onset suggesting that it contributes to the pathogenic process. We also show that neurotoxic DPRs disrupt the VAPB‐PTPIP51 interaction and ER‐mitochondria contacts and that this may involve activation of glycogen synthase kinases‐3β (GSK3β), a known negative regulator of VAPB‐PTPIP51 binding. Finally, we show that these DPRs disrupt delivery of Ca2+ from ER stores to mitochondria, which is a primary function of the VAPB‐PTPIP51 tethers. This delivery regulates a number of key neuronal functions that are damaged in ALS/FTD including bioenergetics, autophagy and synaptic function. Our findings reveal a new molecular target for mutant C9orf72‐mediated toxicity.  相似文献
