Cladocera (Crustacea) from Nicaragua   总被引:1,自引:1,他引:0  
Thirty-one Cladocera taxa are recorded from lakes, rivers and ponds of Western Nicaragua. They include Alona bromelicola sp. nov. found in water accumulations in epiphytic Bromeliads. The Cladocera recorded are neotropical and circumtropical. Other invertebrates found are also listed.  相似文献

A new method for creating nanostructures in a plasma focus discharge is proposed. It is shown that the material of a micron-size dust target produced at the discharge axis efficiently evaporates and is then involved in the pinching process. After the pinch decays, the plasma expands with the thermal velocity and the evaporated dust material is deposited on the collectors in the form of fractal particles or nanoclusters organized into various structures. Such structures have a well-developed surface, which is important for various technological applications.  相似文献

Glutathione S-transferase (GST) was isolated from the Esox lucius liver and purified to the homogenous state by SDS-PAGE and isoelectrofocusing. It was found to be a homodimer with a subunit molecular weight of 25235.36 Da (HPLC-MS/MS data) and pI of about 6.4. Its substrate specificity, thermal stability, some kinetic characteristics, and optimum pH were studied. The enzyme was identified as Alpha class GST.  相似文献

The interactions between E- and Z-isomers of 3-O-methoxyimino-pregn-4-ene-20-one and its 17α-hydroxy derivative and transcortin from human blood were investigated. The substitution of the progesterone 3-oxo group for a 3-O-methoxyimino group was shown to diminish the affinity of the steroid for transcortin by approximately one order of magnitude irrespective of the substituent’s orientation. The data suggests that progesterone derivatives substituted thereby must have higher bioavailability compared to progesterone and must not significantly affect the biodynamics of glucocorticoid in vivo.  相似文献

The given paper summarizes the data on the early mammalian embryo development in culture media containing low oxygen concentration. Experimental results on in vitro modeling the hypoxia for preimplantation development are reviewed. Hypoxic conditions were shown to be available in the female reproductive tract of different mammalian species. The estimation of the embryo developing in vitro exhibits that lower oxygen level in culture media improves embryonic quality.  相似文献

Mitochondrial mutations, an important cause of incurable human neuromuscular diseases, are mostly heteroplasmic: mutated mitochondrial DNA is present in cells simultaneously with wild-type genomes, the pathogenic threshold being generally >70% of mutant mtDNA. We studied whether heteroplasmy level could be decreased by specifically designed oligoribonucleotides, targeted into mitochondria by the pathway delivering RNA molecules in vivo. Using mitochondrially imported RNAs as vectors, we demonstrated that oligoribonucleotides complementary to mutant mtDNA region can specifically reduce the proportion of mtDNA bearing a large deletion associated with the Kearns Sayre Syndrome in cultured transmitochondrial cybrid cells. These findings may be relevant to developing of a new tool for therapy of mtDNA associated diseases.  相似文献

The phospholipid composition requirements for optimal prothrombin activation and factor Va inactivation by activated protein C (APC) anticoagulant were examined. Vesicles composed of phosphatidylethanolamine (PE) and phosphatidylcholine (PC) supported factor Va inactivation relatively well. However, optimal factor Va inactivation still required relatively high concentrations of phosphatidylserine (PS). In addition, at a fixed concentration of phospholipid, PS, and APC, vesicles devoid of PE never attained a rate of factor Va inactivation achievable with vesicles containing PE. Polyunsaturation of any vesicle component also contributed significantly to APC inactivation of factor Va. Thus, PE makes an important contribution to factor Va inactivation that cannot be mimicked by PS. In the absence of polyunsaturation in the other membrane constituents, this contribution was dependent upon the presence of both the PE headgroup per se and unsaturation of the 1,2 fatty acids. Although PE did not affect prothrombin activation rates at optimal PS concentrations, PE reduced the requirement for PS approximately 10-fold. The Km(app) for prothrombin and the Kd(app) for factor Xa-factor Va decreased as a function of increasing PS concentration, reaching optimal values at 10-15% PS in the absence of PE but only 1% PS in the presence of PE. Fatty acid polyunsaturation had minimal effects. A lupus anticoagulant immunoglobulin was more inhibitory to both prothrombinase and factor Va inactivation in the presence of PE. The degree of inhibition of APC was significantly greater and much more dependent on the phospholipid composition than that of prothrombinase. Thus, subtle changes in the phospholipid composition of cells may control procoagulant and anticoagulant reactions differentially under both normal and pathological conditions.  相似文献
